Dr. Reinolds, I am currently working on my undergrad, but I am torn between Athletic Training and Physical Therapy. I would love to work with the athletic population, but I also understand that the life of an AT isn’t always conducive to a family life. I am writing to you, as I am at time stamp 17:44 in the video and you keep on saying “Sports”. Would it be possible to become a PT and focus heavily on athletes opposed to the whole population?
There are Dual DPT/AT programs that I am looking at, but what he is referring to is the sports speciality within physical therapy. It is exactly what you want in terms of working with athlete’s for physical therapy. The Orthopedic speciality is more general, but sports specialty is more geared towards athletes
Amazing!!! Looking forward to support you guys and join the AASPT 👍
Nice video! I believe there’s a ton of opportunity in sports PT in the cash based setting
