    I feel like I leave this comment everywhere lol but it's worked so much I have to share....I heat my conditioner first then finger detangle with latex gloves... 🙌🏾 changed my life

      Dina S What! I have to dry the gloves. I actually only detangle my hair twice and that's when I am conditioning my hair in the shower, then when I am styling if it got tangled again.

      It's amazing y'all!! the conditioner being warm makes it penetrate the hair in seconds and the gloves being so smooth makes it's a breeze...MoknowsHair suggested wearing them to detangle type 4 hair

    I definitely agree that detangling while applying deep conditioner is a time saver! I just started doing this the last two wash days. LIFE SAVER 🙌🏾

    I eliminated detangling altogether when I locked my hair at 30, kept it locked for 10 years and now it’s a platinum twa. I CAN’T with loose hair that requires detangling but I enjoy watching you ladies rock it.

    Prior to washing, I spritz my hair with water and acv (my hair is high porosity). Then I add coconut oil and castor oil to my hair and finger detangle each large section. I also use a wide tooth comb after finger detangling. This has cut wash days in half plus it reduces frizz drastically. This method only takes 15-20 minutes.

    I spray my hair in sections with water then I apply Aussie moist and finger detangle. Then I shampoo my hair and deep condition it. When I tell you my detangle process is a breeze! Plus I have really thick hair! You guys should really try it.

      It was so nice meeting you today at Zara! You were so nice and soo pretty! I wanted to give you my discount, but my boss won't let us use it while we're on the clock sadly😔. But yeah, I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here in Dallas and that you have a safe trip back to New York!
      P.S. I will continue to support you girl cause you are truly geniune. So go ahead and drop a fashion line while you at because your style is on point so I can support that also lol! 😃
      God Bless,

    drenching my hair with a slippery conditioner, and then detangling under running water (in the shower) makes detangling a breeze.

    Thank you for your detailed and awesome videos! I went to a couple Sally's yesterday looking for the Silk elements deep conditioner you suggested. Neither one had it. Then I google and see they are exclusively sold at Sally's. Not even their own website. Silk Elements needs to do better.

    I'm going to try this. I usually fill up a bathtub with water and then I sit shampoo (or not as needed) then I detangle with a rinse-out conditioner, THEN I deep condition. And let me tell you I am guilty of not letting the deep condition sit in my hair for as long as I need it to. But I think I might try this, because I'm tired of sitting in a bath for an hour on wash day. I need to find a better detangling alternative because my hair hates me and it's telling me so now... :,(

      Amelia Brash details??

    • @violetfields3
      @violetfields3 8 лет назад +1

      Well since you asked:) after washing my hair I put on the garnier honey treasures mask, which you can find at walmart, walgreens, etc.. When you put on the mask it will feel like barely any product has been applied, but that is because it penetrates into hair really fast. after applying the conditioner put a plastic cap over your head and wait 3 minutes if you can't wait or 30 minutes to 1 hour if you have time( either way it works the same) after the time is up rinse with warm water and then cold ( if you want) after rinsing you will notice your hair is extremely soft, moisturized, detangled, and shiny. I don't know what makes the mask work as good as it does, but it is a staple in my hair regimen:)

    my hair is too soft after deep conditioning. I have to be more careful if I wait until then so I prefer to detangle before cleansing and deep conditioning. if it's very tangled that week I put conditioner in like half hour before. plus shampoo can cause even more tangling. I finger detangle

    • @TriniGirlNatural
      @TriniGirlNatural 8 лет назад

      Nope I'm not lol. Deep conditioner softens hair, that's what it's meant to do. On my hair it's easier to detangle before that. It's all about finding your own sweet spot. Oils and just a bit of conditioner not left in too long is where my perfect balance is

    Do you oil your scalp? I just watched a video on a naturalista who doesn't use any products on her scalp & she said it works for her. But she had like type 3 hair, I have type 4 & I was just wondering if there's any type 4's out there who don't oil their scalp, I never tried that lol

    • @Zucifer8
      @Zucifer8 7 лет назад

      Breionna T. I do not oil my scalp. I am 4c I think. I feel like it will clog my pores and possibly hinder growth. The scalp already produces oils. Now for midshaft and ends...that's a different story! Lol
