    It is the first time I am telling a mini story, so it is important that you leave a comment. Did you like it? Do you have any suggestions how to make it better? Maybe you thought to yourself "I would do it a bit different", then tell me what is that "different". Help me to improve. Thank you! :)

      +R Koster Thanks for stopping by to comment, I appreciate it! I will make more stories like this, but I don't know when yet, actually, I want to record an audio book with it. I just need to sit down and do it. :D

      +R Koster It seems like this song contains a lot of slang. Thanks, maybe I will translate this song on my blog and also pick some phrases and explain them in depth.
      By the way, there are already a couple songs translated and explained on my bog. This one is a stupid one but helps to memorise some verbs: www.natashaspeaksrussian.com/beginners-blog/-lets-repeat-the-verb-to-go
      And this one is a beautiful song for Russian soul: www.natashaspeaksrussian.com/beginners-blog/-russian-song
      Maybe you will like them. ;)

      Really useful to have a part with no subtitles. I found that if I you had given the basic cintent of what happens in a sentence or two I would have found it easier to listen as I would have known roughly what I was listening out for. I hope this helps. Awesome as always!

    Thank you so much for your excellent videos, Natasha! I like this one very much! The narrative format is great for learning new vocabulary. Also, I sometimes get bored in the other videos when you pronounce everything slowly (and several times), this video kept my interest and I plan to watch it over and over to make sure I've understood everything. Usually, I have some constructive feedback on how to make a better video, but I really think you did an excellent job with this video. It really helps me to have the Russian subtitles available. Keep up the good work!

    • @NatashaspeaksRussian
      @NatashaspeaksRussian  8 лет назад +2

      +Michael Good Thank you, Michael! I was afraid that slow repetition can be very boring for not beginners. But I got comments and messages from several people, that repetition is the most helpful part for them, so I will continue to do that. However, I think I can try to make extra videos for slow repetition, I mean, I would make the same videos, but I would say the examples only one time and in normal speed. And then just add extra video, where I repeat all those examples slowly. So intermediate and advanced students don't get bored watching a main video and beginners can check extra video with clear slow pronunciation. What do you think? Would it work? :)

    • @mwgood523
      @mwgood523 8 лет назад +1

      Yes, I think that is an excellent idea! That way, your viewers would have the option of whether or not to continue to listen to the repetitive portion of the video. Personally, I watch your videos mostly for listening practice, vocabulary, and new phrases. Although pronunciation is very important, I'm already pretty confident with my pronunciation. Don't forget, the viewers also have the option in the video settings to listen at 1/4 or 1/2 normal speed if they want to hear the pronunciation slowed down (although many people may not know this). Finally, I think that you may get more views by extracting the slowed segments for pronunciation... they seem to make your videos often more than 10 minutes long. I'm no expert, but I am pretty sure that people are usually willing to watch a 6-8 minute video all the way to the end rather than say, a 13 minute video. I hope my feedback is helpful. Thanks again, Natasha... and thanks for listening!

      +Michael Good Of course I listen, I want to improve, to provide a great content in the best way possible. Your feedback helps me to do that, so huge thank to you! :)

      Хаха, нет, я вообще-то очень спокойный человек, люблю рисовать, читать книги и изучать языки. Никогда не занималась театром. Всегда считала, что театром занимаются только экспрессивные люди, экстраверты. Приятно знать, что у меня это получается. Спасибо. :)

    Hello Natasha!
    I hope you are fine.
    I want to suggest you something. Telling a story is with simple words very good and easy way to learn a language. But i want you to tell story without introduction, enter to story with simple words. I am sure we will concentrate to only story and learn new words easier. This is a just suggestion, anyway thank you for all your lessons.

    • @NatashaspeaksRussian
      @NatashaspeaksRussian  8 лет назад

      Hello! Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I agree with you. When I was making this video I wanted to cut it into two videos: one explaining how and what and another one - the story itself. But then I decided to leave it like this and do next without intro's. Because, honestly, I myself hate long intoductions in videos, I just want to get what is promissed in the title.
      So yes, the future mini stories will be just: "Hello, here is today's story..." :) But I don't know when I will make another story, I'm thinking to make an audiobook with stories and tell them in different tenses. Well, we will see. :)

      +Natasha speaks Russian I can barely pronounce the words but maybe later I will look at this video again.

    • @NatashaspeaksRussian
      @NatashaspeaksRussian  8 лет назад +1

      +TheUbereem I see! You are not learning Russian for long yet, right? If you've just begun to learn, I would advise you to pick a few phrases first, those, that you find interesting and useful. And by useful I mean not only how to buy a ticket in Russian, but also some silly phrases, that you could say around your friends to show off. You should be highly motivated to learn those phrases. And then work only on those few phrases, listen to them many times until you can pronounce them really well. Just make it fun.
      Here are some Russian slang just for example: Давай - bye! Давай, хебра, я поехал (пошёл). - Bye guys, I am leaving. Здаров, пацан. Как дела? - Hey dude. What's up?
      You can find many videos for beginners with formal Russian greetings, goodbyes and other basic phrases. You can also use this website to check the pronunciation: www.acapela-group.com/
