    Your approach to teaching Russian seems really effective! I tried it on my own grandchildren.

    thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed this lesson with storytelling. I love stories so it makes sense. I answered much more quickly than in my 'grammar' based lessons and I had fun. Thank you so much.

    Holy shit.... my brain clicked at 7:30 and i could start to clearly understand the conversation wow. i have only been learning for 2 weeks 2 to 3 hours a day, you have a really good technique. Thank you for posting this and pushing me to the next level. Still have no idea how my brain just clicked lol

    • @kozavr
      @kozavr 5 лет назад

      Well this is not his technique. It's called storytelling and it's quite popular and effective for beginners. And the storyteller isn't supposed to tell anything in other languages like in this video, because students who don't speak English are lost

    Thanks a lot for this; whilst I am a beginner at Russian, I was able to answer all the questions quite quickly just by listening. I still use Duolingo and talk to natives to help me with the fundamentals, but I feel more confident about the conversational side to the language. On Duolingo, in the Labs section, they have stories in French, Spanish, Portuguese and German I think (I learn French at intermediate level) and they are really helpful as it makes you answer questions about what the read and helps your listening skills develop. Hopefully, they add more languages to be used for this feature, because I see this as a great learning tool.

    How do u feel about students watching Russian language movies as a learning tool ?

    • @Learningtoknowrussian

      It is a good activity. I suggest watching a short fragment many times rather than watching a long movie just once.

    Sounds like you pronounce the "B" as an L instead of a V (for the word "girl"). Totally confuses me. Other than that this lesson seem to indicate a really efficient method.

    • @Learningtoknowrussian

      Anyway, the correct sentence will be: "... а вдруг он всё ЖЕ есть"

    • @aidemalo

      The question mention HE, but not the god, since "he stopped to believe in god?" But who is HE? the first sentence says "(when) stopping to believe, but what if he(god) exists?",note "stopping" and not "he stopped", that's why this does not makes any sense: first sentence does not contain an answer to the question.
