    Yes like flying at night. The flight is shorter and sorta rested vs flying in morning your very tired when you arrive. Plus having a child having them sleep most of the flight is easier.

      I totally agree! And usually when the plane takes off I’m ready to sleep so I’m well rested instead of being awake half of the flight during morning flights. Thank you for watching! 😊

    I'm a new sub and this is the first time that I saw your channel. We only have about a 45 minute drive to LAX from Anaheim. I prefer the night trips better but my wife seems to like the day trip. when we leave during the day we have to get up so early and I can't get a good sleep. Anyway the most important thing to me is having a safe flight even though better food would help. I never had any problems entering or leaving the Philippines. The only bad part which we can't do anything about is the very long flight when flying on PAL. It wouldn't be as bad in business class but I didn't win millions of dollars to be able to afford that. Anyway I'm always excited to go to the Philippines and sad to leave the Philippines.

      Thank you so much for subscribing and taking the time to watch my video. I appreciate it! I agree with everything you said. It's hard to sleep when you have a morning flight, especially when you still have to travel by land to the airport. We went home last year as well and had a night flight from San Diego, but this time we had to book a day flight since we'll be flying from LAX. We wanted to try the direct flight from US to the Philippines. It's true what you said though, that it wouldn't be as bad if we were flying business class. I wish we could do the same but we didn't win million dollars as well to afford it. Haha. Hopefully, one day, we all can fly business class to have a better and more comfortable flight experience to a farther destination like Philippines. I'm so glad you're always excited to go to the Philippines and that you liked going to the place we call home. :)

    Thanks for sharing your experience! It's nice to compare what it's like when I fly to the Philippines with PAL as flying from Sydney is only 8 hours.
    A few comparisons:
    - Every time we fly from Manila back to Sydney, we always have the three checks for bags (check in, immigration, and the gate). Most people don't mind it either.
    - Sometimes we also get the plane with no entertainment (usually on the way to Sydney), so it's nice to have entertainment (definitely needed on long flights).
    - Coming from Australia, you don't usually see balikbayan boxes as most people just use the companies that ship to PH but we only have one baggage pp as well.
    - We are also super lucky that we have 3 different airlines going direct to Manila (PAL, Qantas and Cebu Pacific).

      Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment ❤ I see we have the same experience when it comes to flying. It’s nice to have direct flights cause it saves time and it’s less tiring. Also, although we can use our phones and tablets as a form of entertainment during flights, it’s still nice to have in-flight entertainment especially with long flights just like you said. Thank you for sharing your flight experience. It’s nice to hear other stories as well 😊

    TY for the video. I'm not sure if you know this but your voice audio compared to your music audio is very low (hard to hear you) when I up the volume to hear you, then I get my eardrums blasted when the music plays.

    My greatest disappointment with PAL is that they don't have any flights to Europe particularly in the Schengen Area which I travel most still have to go to Hong Kong to catch a connecting flight via Scandinavian Airlines or Finnair to my destinations in the Nordic states. I used to fly with Lufthansa during my past travels to Europe until they ceased flying to Manila in 2008 KLM the last European carrier have pulled out of the Manila - Amsterdam route mainly due to our unfavorable playing field and too much favoritism on the part of PAL and CEB.

      @@niyensubsYes it is helpful inconsideration of upcoming long haul (over 5 hours, our office sits us up in bus. class; at 4 hours or less, econ. class) flights this year. I had flown in with PAL's Neo carriers when it was yet breaking in on MNL-BKK route and their other Airbus carriers on regional (SEAsia) flights.... On a recent trip though, I was dismayed with the plane used for the Jakarta-Manila route....though airworthy, it was like boarding an old LCC that is commonly used in its webroutes in the Philippines.....it was compensated though w/ the usual impeccable inflight service but I think it would help PAL to upgrade and sanitize the upholstery of their seats if it opts to use relatively old planes, besides it is our only flag carrier. . . Our team regularly flies around the world for work, I hope PAL (PR) will be kept in the list of carriers we could use apart from TG, SQ, CX, LH, and EK. I try to remain loyal to PR but sometimes team decision opts for a better and timely service.

    Is there an extra fee for those "FAMILY BOXES"? Seems like everyone has 1 or 2 on the flight. We sent several, a couple months before our flight, and the boxes arrived 3 days after we arrived. So everyone got plenty of goodies from the states, but my wife doesn't understand Chocolate and Heat, it was melted.

    • @niyensubs
      @niyensubs  Месяц назад

      Hello there! No, there’s no extra fee for it. Our flight included 2 check-in baggages. The box we got is the one suited for air travel. We got it from ATLAS. 😊
      It’s actually good to send the boxes ahead of time as well cause then you get to put all the things you want to without thinking of the weight limit. I’ll probably do that next time. We usually send boxes with chocolates to the Philippines as well and it usually arrives around 3 months. What we do with the chocolates is we wrap them with clothes and make sure it’s in the middle or at the bottom. Most of it arrives in good condition but there are selected chocolates that are somewhat melted too. Maybe it’s best to send it to during the rainy season in the Philippines when it’s cold or before the ber-months come. 😊
