    If there was a pure offense GOAT argument, AI is in there, easily. Look at those highlights and find the number of dunks or post up, I count 1 dunk, an the only posting up was probably against Lue. AI made it look as if the league wasn't physical as it was, because he was moving so fast it was hard to get a hand on him or in his face, the drawback with his inhuman speed was, all of his shots were mostly off balance. The fg% argument is the funniest argument to me, being that Jordan is the only one that shot more shots, and hd a higher fg% than AI, but AIs fg% and Jordan's would probably be the same if AI had the dunking threat adding to his arsenal of offense. Without the ability to use dunking as a viable offensive option (45 dunks career), or post up ability due to size, and as Kenyan Martin said, "not able to play bully ball" the opponents only have to worry about him scoring a few ways: midrange jumper (highly underrated for AI), hookshot, or layup.
    With how much he shot, 21.8 fga per game, and 22.9 fga most of his career, this man's confidence in going whole court with no setup is insane, but the opponents knew he was most likely going to attempt a shot, and couldn't stop him without a zone, which was mainly brought to the NBA because of AI.
    I agree with D wade that AI is one of the most talented athletes in sports, period, and rightfully has him in his top 3. His practice was negligible, he played basketball games for the most part like he was playing against some neighborhood kids in normal pickup games; but with pro athletes. And the best part is, is that basketball is his secondary sport. AI is in the offensive GOAT convo, and the talent GOAT convo. AI til I die.

      He was actually a great defensive player also-not so much in the Denver Nuggets era, but early on in his career, at Georgetown and even through his time in Philly. He set Georgetown Hoyas record for most steals in a season and was back-2-back big east dpoy in college as a freshman and sophmore, in a conference loaded with nba talent like Ray Allen, Kerry Kittles, etc. And His philly teams lead the NBA in steals per game and turnovers forced per game multiple times and were always near the top of the league in both of those categories. He was never particularly adept at switching or guarding multiple positions due to size discrepancy mismatches, but he got his hands on a lot of passes and he could provide some relentless ball pressure on opposing point guards and, except for his rookie season where he had some issues getting blindsided by ball screens and losing his mark, he was pretty good at dodging screeners both on the ball vs pick'n'roll and off ball chasing a shooter around like rip hamilton

    In this era Ai would average harden numbers on higher efficiency and less tov, but less ast and reb. Also playing better defense.

    Imagine him in this era with spacing 🤯 he might stay scoring 33 ppg but I’d bet he might have 50% shooting percentage.

    • @kaygetsbusy
      @kaygetsbusy 3 года назад +4

      @Darryl Davis nah he didn't wanna leave, they let go of the general manager and the new general manager traded him because he felt Iguodala was the next big thing in philly

    • @kaygetsbusy
      @kaygetsbusy 3 года назад +2

      @Darryl Davis if they would've never let go of pat croce Iverson would've never been traded, I think they hired bum ass Billy king and he makes the worst general managing decisions

      @Darryl Davis honestly AI was only high volume in sixers where there was no 2nd scorer in the team, and AI was the main focus in defense of the opposing team every game.
