He averaged 33 Points, 7.4 assists, and 2 steals on 45% shooting from the field that year. GOAT shit
A harden season
@@jasonnesbittt AI >>> Har_en
Nice use of google
Even better than his MVP season.
@@israelrivera5176 Which is insane lol
This season forgotten about cause Kobe averaged 35 and most ppl believe Iverson career stopped after 2001
Swear bro. I was literally thinking the same. People just think about that mvp year and think he just went away
On casuals think his career stopped after 01
His team just sucked even more after Mutombo left. Poor AI
Facts, bro been tellin ppl this for years!! 03, 05, 06, & 08 are all better seasons then his MVP year! Also 99 & 00 are honorable mentions!
@@tszfungshin5971 honestly his 03, 05, and 06 team arguably had more help. IDK how his 06 team missed the playoffs with Chris Webber averaging 20 and Andre Iguodala there
he moves even much more efficiently than he did in his MVP season. You can tell he had grown a lot and become more seasoned. Iverson is not just a supreme talent but a true student of the game
Facts
Far from true
Practice, Practice?

2005-06 was one of my fav NBA seasons.High scoring and great stars going at it
This🔥🔥🔥
They removed handchecking dudes was having a field day😂
43 minutes per game. 1000% effort the whole time. It never stopped.
Averaging 33ppg in this slow ass pace while being under 6ft is fucking crazy 🤯🤯🤯
Iverson would’ve been great in this era. Greats gonna be great and I also believed he would extend his range.
Around this time they changed some rules so that the perimeter players could shine a little more, so a lot of guys numbers went up in 05-06
@@X02Overdose Steve Nash comes to mind
@@itsxavier6173 💯
Hed average 40 in today's game easily. Hed destroy any player with his pure fundamental skill.
That 2005-06 was a pretty weird year, as soo many player just had scoring explosions. Kobe, AI, Bron, etc.
That's the first year that hand checking was removed
@@joestuehmer7967 yeah and AI on 2006-07 before the trade to denver was avegaring 38ppg
@@MrNB-op2lm Ai never averaged 38 ppg highest was 33/7.5 in the 05-06 season
@@joestuehmer7967 it was 31.2 before leaving philly but before the trade rumors he was averaging 38 then drop to 31 as he was distracted by the trade and do not play full minutes
@@joestuehmer7967 he was talking about the 14 or so games BEFORE the Denver trade
imagine if this man had help and spacing during his 10 years in philly
He would’ve been able to put up more efficient numbers
@You mad Bro!? nonsense
@You mad Bro!? he played in this era too
@You mad Bro!? Yh like in the 90’s lebron would average 60 that’s what yall sound like lol 😂 lebron would average like 30.1 points,6.4 rebounds and 9 assists in the 90’s shooting 48% FG not 50% like his cart bc it would be more physical since mutombu and David Robinson type players were in the league and like 33% from 3 bc they didn’t shoot that much so no point on shooting 36 or 37% luge in the finals he shot 41% from 3 back then he wouldn’t need to in today’s game MJ would average like 28.9 points,6.8 rebounds and like 5.5 assists he would shoot like 49% from the field better than the 90’s bc it’s not as physical but he would shoot a horrendous 30% from 3 bc he only shoots 31% for his career and since they shoot so much in the league he would get criticised bc he can’t shoot abs given the Ben Simmons treatment
@You mad Bro!? Haha 100%
I was just thinking bout dis season right here to. What bout his 98-99 season. His first scoring title.
Make this happen maxamillion
This was the start of Iverson's prime. It only makes sense lol
All Iverson needed was KG and he would have won a champioship. Playing with Carmelo Anthony another isolation scorer was not conducive to his playstyle. KG was a great rim protector, tenacious rebounder who could control the glass for iverson and effective in the pick and pop game.
If AI had prime KG on his team multiple titles I say
If AI had KG hed achieve be a gsw dynasty type success lol.
Damn, they would complement each other so well.
Him and gaenett would have beat shaq kobe cause iversin in 2001 2002 was better than kobe
@@bronxbully6261 He wasn’t better than Kobe
Literally was watching AI highlights from this year the other day! People always get enamored with his mvp year and forget the other years he had in Philly
Exactly this man was a beast during his entire tenure with Philadelphia. And on his first year at Denver too.
These grainy clips make me feel like how I felt watching 80s basketball 20 years ago
Shut up Karen
@@nickgraysr.4817 I bet you didn't see their name lol
I will never get over what he did @22:48 when he took the rebound, went on a solo fastbreak and then decided to do a finger roll teardrop layup in traffic after jumping way beyond the free throw line. That shit is wild and graceful at the same time. 🤯
I almost forgot about this season!! Allen Iverson was a scoring machine that year!!!
I remember Kobe said, "We are all lucky AI is not 6'4
Might be one of my favourite seasons as an NBA fan. AI averaged 33.. Kobe tha Gawd put up 35 a game.. 3rd year DWade went nuts in the Finals smh what a time
People don’t realize but Iverson was extremely fundamentally sound
Pound for pound the greatest scoring guard ever..He would have averaged at least 40ppg if the refs didnt have personal vendettas and actually called half the fouls committed against him!
The definition of unique. A one of one. A one of a kind.... beyond legendary.
This was iverson at his absolute prime .
@Darryl Davis
Iverson wasn't in the NBA in 95 lol
@Darryl Davis Bro he was 18 in 95' not even close to his prime.
@Darryl Davis ... hollup
@Darryl Davis you mean A.I entered the league in 1996 already his at his prime? Holy shhhhhhhh haha
@Darryl Davis players grew and mature throughout their pro years they improve skills IQ, toughness, and some even changed play styles. Then they reach prime or their peak as a player. You stupid ass nigga
I remember this year. Lebron and Kobe also averaged over 30. Crazy....
These mid range shots are a thing of beauty.
I dont want to talk about how huge is the thing that he is barely 6 ft tall. But he also with this built menages to play for the fans! LION HART!
Kids born in the late 90s & 2000s really don’t understand how great this man was..... especially for a guy that was only 5’10”-5’11”...
that’s not true my friend i have very early memories of watching some of the greats play shit i even remember mike on the wizards
This was his best season 🔥
Finally ive always wanted a 2005 ai season highlights dude was a scoring machine
This season was better than his MVP season in terms of individual performance. Most underrated season of all time.
this is absolutely beautiful
You know it's real when the Mamba said AI would be an even bigger problem if he was 6'5.
He would lowkey be another Michael Jordan but with a crossover 😳
@@mind_of_dro pause. So you're saying that jordan doesn't have a crossover? You forget that jordan is stronger longer more athletic shoots midrange better finishes better defends better etc...
@@kingphil4073 no I'm not saying that. MJ had great dribble moves but imagine him with Kyrie of Iverson's handles
I always laughed at this cuz it was kinda like no shit kobe lmao
THAT CORNY STATEMENT THAT KOBE MADE DONT MATTER., A.I WAS HIS HEIGHT FOR A REASON. HELL TRACY WAS BETTER THAN KOBE.
Seeing AI connection with Iggy make me wonder what a AI-LeBron tandem would have done
Great upload ...can you do his 2007-08 Denver Nuggets season??
Imagine AI playing with today's Sixers. Damn.
AI, Thybulle, Harris Simmons Embiid. That team would have the worst spacing in the NBA

thanks for the upload!!
Keep up the good work man, seriously one of the best channels on all of YT!
Can we get a mix for his forgotten 97-98 season. He shot 46% from the field that year while average 22. That season always stood out to me because he never got credit for the maturity he displayed that season, especially after he ran wild later in his rookie season. It's like looking at two different players.
its crazy how andre igoudala played with allen iverson and steph curry in their primes.
🐐 🐐 🐐 Fucking legend one of my favorite and greatest NBA players ever Ai.
04 TMAC next
Thank you for posting this!!
"How do you lose a scoring title averaging 33?" - AI 😂😂😂
He didn't he led the NBA in scoring that season which was his 4th scoring title.
@@AHMAD-2324 no dawgie he lost it to Kobe who avg 35
The league curtailed handchecking in 04-05, and individual scoring really blossomed the following season. Lebron, Iverson, and Kobe were all averaging over 30+ PPG in 05-06.
@@spiidey1 Yh people forget that from 2004 to basically 2010 lebron averaged 29.5 points per game on 49% FG and 53% 2pt percentage
@Darryl Davis no he wouldn’t shut up😂😂
If there was a pure offense GOAT argument, AI is in there, easily. Look at those highlights and find the number of dunks or post up, I count 1 dunk, an the only posting up was probably against Lue. AI made it look as if the league wasn't physical as it was, because he was moving so fast it was hard to get a hand on him or in his face, the drawback with his inhuman speed was, all of his shots were mostly off balance. The fg% argument is the funniest argument to me, being that Jordan is the only one that shot more shots, and hd a higher fg% than AI, but AIs fg% and Jordan's would probably be the same if AI had the dunking threat adding to his arsenal of offense. Without the ability to use dunking as a viable offensive option (45 dunks career), or post up ability due to size, and as Kenyan Martin said, "not able to play bully ball" the opponents only have to worry about him scoring a few ways: midrange jumper (highly underrated for AI), hookshot, or layup.
With how much he shot, 21.8 fga per game, and 22.9 fga most of his career, this man's confidence in going whole court with no setup is insane, but the opponents knew he was most likely going to attempt a shot, and couldn't stop him without a zone, which was mainly brought to the NBA because of AI.
I agree with D wade that AI is one of the most talented athletes in sports, period, and rightfully has him in his top 3. His practice was negligible, he played basketball games for the most part like he was playing against some neighborhood kids in normal pickup games; but with pro athletes. And the best part is, is that basketball is his secondary sport. AI is in the offensive GOAT convo, and the talent GOAT convo. AI til I die.
Very well said
He was actually a great defensive player also-not so much in the Denver Nuggets era, but early on in his career, at Georgetown and even through his time in Philly. He set Georgetown Hoyas record for most steals in a season and was back-2-back big east dpoy in college as a freshman and sophmore, in a conference loaded with nba talent like Ray Allen, Kerry Kittles, etc. And His philly teams lead the NBA in steals per game and turnovers forced per game multiple times and were always near the top of the league in both of those categories. He was never particularly adept at switching or guarding multiple positions due to size discrepancy mismatches, but he got his hands on a lot of passes and he could provide some relentless ball pressure on opposing point guards and, except for his rookie season where he had some issues getting blindsided by ball screens and losing his mark, he was pretty good at dodging screeners both on the ball vs pick'n'roll and off ball chasing a shooter around like rip hamilton
@@dondonnelly5278 Never said he wasnt man, you should check his block compilation from pennyccw, it is super overlooked how many blocks he got, AI is easily in the top 3 sgs as far as im concerned top 2 if going only off offense.
Underrated comment! Quite insightful and speaking out the truth!
Can’t wait for the John Stockton 89-90 season. Appreciate the whole goat series and the time and effort that you put into these highlights.
This channel is so 🔥🔥🔥. Salute!
He could of led the leaugue in assist alot of season the attention he draws on the court so many open players but he stuck the shot instead!!!
But still my alltime favorite player G.O.A.T.
Amazing video, thank you! 🙏🏽
they really forced him to stop using his long cross , lots hesitation and between the leg crosses
Fr
This was actually during my favorite times watching him 05-06 season I used sixers non stop on NBA Live 06 as well too.. W Video 🔥
There is nobody else who was able to just get the defender to bite HARD like AI got them to bite. He constantly left people stuck in mud, while he was moving like oil in water. Multiple times every game, it was his bread n butter, he did that in his sleep.
Imagine if Allen Iverson stick to playing point guard. He would be the best scoring PG ever.
KEEP EM COMING MAX! WOOOOO
Can pass like crazy off pick in roll, and he was a midrange demon sheeeesh. The best PG of all time. At least top 5. Come on now guys.
Legend big heart warrior champ 🏆
🔥💯 let’s see Ray Allen on the bucks
YES!!!
keep em coming
Like the late great kobe bryant said “were all lucky ai wasnt 6’6”

Have you done a Steve Nash video
In this era Ai would average harden numbers on higher efficiency and less tov, but less ast and reb. Also playing better defense.
In a era where players dominated without shooting 1,000 3s!
Moses Malone 1982-1983!
The season he won back to back MVP
All-NBA First Team
All-Defensive First Team
Win NBA Champion
NBA Finals MVP
SWEPT LAKERS 4-0!
The best UNDERRATED CENTER ever!
Imagine him in this era with spacing 🤯 he might stay scoring 33 ppg but I’d bet he might have 50% shooting percentage.
@jaydexe he’s already shooting 45% here lmao.
Omg thanks so much Max

Legend hero
Can you make a video montage of his rookie season .? That would be extremely dope .
The 🐐
I miss this era seriously one guy could carry a whole team on his back
Excellent choice
It's crazy that after this season they shipped him to Denver smfh
@Darryl Davis nah he didn't wanna leave, they let go of the general manager and the new general manager traded him because he felt Iguodala was the next big thing in philly
@Darryl Davis if they would've never let go of pat croce Iverson would've never been traded, I think they hired bum ass Billy king and he makes the worst general managing decisions
@Darryl Davis Denver was not a bad team
@Darryl Davis honestly AI was only high volume in sixers where there was no 2nd scorer in the team, and AI was the main focus in defense of the opposing team every game.
Nostalgia!
Love this channel bro smh
A Decade later, Stronger than Ever. #TheAnswer #Iykyk

Can you do Deron Williams?
15:35 full white iverson got me feelin some type of way
Degree of difficulty makes him greater, Jordan Kobe and Lebron at 6 feet couldn’t do what he did in the NBA idc
I want 04-05 iverson too!
Only 6 other players ever in NBA/ABA history averaged more ppg than him he is 7th at 26.7 ppg
my goat.
The need to bring them blue and black jerseys back. When iggy was a scorer and dunker
