If you live in Hungary, this is even worse. If i make a superchat/ super thanks/ membership it contains about 21% tax, with youtube's 30% cut, the creator that i support only get about 55%... That's why i try to avoid supporting others through youtube, if there's another way to supporting them.

Say you want to enter finance, and finance as a whole has 35cpm, but you're doing finance in a niche part of finance, so your actual cpm is 22, you can literally check that. So no, CPM is very useful for actual business building on youtube

I think it is normal that RUclips dorsnt pay 100% from the ads and the revenue share programe is fair and it is the best paying platform yet. Also creators sould not solely rely on ad revenue if money is an important factor. Great editing as usual! 🎉

One of the biggest flaws with YT IMO. Is they're driven towards LONG content. Whereas Tiktok is the perfect space for me to appeal to an audience that enjoys 2-3 minute videos. It feels like no coincidence that my best performing video on yt is my longest video.
It's actually even more complicated than that... your rpm depends upon your niche AND your audience. The audience is complex, you get paid different amounts proportionate to the audience age and geographical location. So RPM can fluctuate quite widely and no-one online will ever give you a correct fixed answer. I have a lookbook channel and it takes in a whopping 😂 $1.20 AUD per thousand views. After 3 months and now with 4k subscribers and around 15-25k views per 48hrs I get about $300+ a month. Better than a kick in the teeth but no Mr Beast LoL

I made this channel a few days ago to upload satirical brain rot type videos for fun, and when I’ve made channels in the past, shorts would get a few hundred views as like the test audience, but this just doesn’t seem to happen anymore.
