Im okay with the plog turning into Zach, miles, rainie run errands and just randomly talk 😂
I love running errands with people !!
Absolutely the best!
I honestly love it.
Same!
me too 😂
Rainie was entirely correct, Huntington's library does have a Gutenberg bible, printed mid-1400s.Y'all owe her an apology.
I swear they’re constantly doubting her and Kelsie
I think the big issue with Claire's is that they use piercing guns, which can cause unnecessary trauma to the ear tissue and more difficult healing. It's much better to use a piercing needle.
Piercing guns also cannot be fully sanitized (just the nature of soaking which is how they clean them if I recall) despite being reused on every single customer who comes in which would be a BAD CALL for Zach who is immunocomprimised. best to go to a studio that uses single use needles for their piercings over a gun.
@aaroncole9104 I worked at Claire's and although I would still recommend anyone just got somewhere where they use a needle, the guns don't actually touch the customers! The earrings come pre loaded in a sterilized cartridge that clicks into the gun and thats the only part that touches the ear and then its thrown away
also i've heard that if you work at claires you get barely any training before they let you pierce. you have to watch a demo vid and thats it
I was thinking exactly this! The piercing video would turn into tattoo shop tours if they go to the "best" places!
Correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard the piercings staff at Claire's also aren't trained as much as they should be, certainly not as much as a tattoo peircer.
Check ins/updates on Rainie should obviously be called Rain Checks. 🤓✌️
Ooh clever
History Fact: Printing press was invested by Johannes Gutenberg in Germany around 1436 and he did the first print run of the Bible in Latin. Yale has one of the only 18 complete copies left in the world. Love you all and especially the Trypod adventures
Just came to the commets to say this, looks like im a few hours to late. Also just find it so funny Miles thought the industrial revolution was 1910.
@@rubybiech6745I love them 😂
Thank you! I was lowkey offended when he said it was invented in colonial america 😅
@@dsch2000 he got confused hahaha he half-explained a few min later he remembers reading printing pamphlets was an important part of spreading the anti-monarchy message so his brain translated that to "colonial America invented the printing press 💀"
Americans really do think they invented everything ☠️
What if everyone got real hardcore piercings except for Zach who got the sticker star earrings every time someone else gets a piercing
miles saying the masculine form of mistress is mastress was so silly
The reason why Advice That Will Go For Miles works is that is not tainted by sponsors, maybe it was a joke but I truly love Miles' random tidbits about his life!! my 2 cents is that it feels weird to be selling Branded Specific Things for that
Zach, I'd love to see Candid Competition - Piercings but please stay safe. We don't want another hospital video. I suggest getting the four piercings on your ear lobe as they heal and close up quicker and don't really hurt because you only pierce through soft tissue. I never had any issues with those, my cartilage piercings on the other hand got infected and Rainee is absolutely correct, you cannot sleep on this side for months. Not sure about increased chances of infection if you're immunocompromised but I'd avoid Claire's nonetheless.
Zach, I think you should talk to your doctor (rheumatologist?) before planning the piercings. If you have an autoimmune disorder or issues with your body overreacting to inflammation, poking holes in it might really cause a flare up.
Doesn’t Zach do acupuncture though? Would a piercing be different?
Zach babygirl the printing press was invented in 1440, 300 years before the US colonies declaring themselves a country
Book historian here: loved this brief book chat. Johannes Gutenberg (Germany) is credited with the invention of the printing press (he modified it from a wine press), but the origins of printing (and moveable type) have been traced back earlier to China. Also, yes! The printing press was a major part of the industrial revolution (roughly mid 1700s - 1840s), especially as technological shifts (transition from platen to rotary presses / the use of steam power, for instance) meant that printed materials were created faster and in larger amounts. Fun fact: Gutenberg's Bible is called an "incunabulum," a book printed before 1501 (during which time manuscript culture was still largely dominant), which is why early printed works actually tend to resemble manuscript works.
Definitely don't pierce your ears at Claire's or any mall shops
Go to a tattoo/piercing shop. It's safer, and they are trained professionals.
It's where I took my two daughters. It was super quick and nothing like watching a huge "scary" bald man covered in tats be the sweetest, most gentle person with my girls.
Absolutely second this! Needle guns do not make a proper incision in the skin, so they don't always heal great.
As someone with multiple cartilage and helix piercings I 100% agree. The one cartilage piercing I can’t use is bc it was with a gun and my nerves still have trauma from yearssss ago.
Also please don’t try to get multiple cartilage on the same ear, same day :/ the swelling and risk of infection are too high and we care too much about you!!
The inspection and health-and-safety requirements for tattoo and piercing parlors is so much more codified and normalized! I really appreciate that, and the knowledge of the body artists cannot be matched.
Also if they're responsible, they won't let him get more than like 4 piercings. If they go somewhere that does, they should be very suss and given the nature of piercings and Zach's immunocompromised state, it's a TERRIBLE idea.
FINALLY! I’ve been so invested in Zachary’s little vegan treat that I now always look for one wherever I go 😅
The amount of trust Zach has in his driving skills to not spill his literal MUG of tea baffles me. Like, I wish I had that much faith in anything in my life.
I dont like to watch Zach suffer. I like to watch him have fun. 😊
Hard agree. Where did they get this idea that we like to see them suffer??!
from one immunocomprimized boy to another, the pain of piercings and tattoos is nothing compared to cronic pain!
and if you take it out and use proper jewlery its basically like acupuncture
also if you are high on edddies itll feel a much better!! maybe mj or desiree can get peirced with you
i also reccomend envy body piercing in redondo? or hunington
Just wanted to warn about the ear piercing bit... I got 3 piercings in one go (second holes on each ear and my second cartilage piercing), and I ended up finding out that I was allergic to metal, but that combined with the piercing...somehow bacteria got in (you should go to a tattoo parlor instead of like a Claire's or a mall stand like I did)...the earrings have a locking mechanism on them for new holes, and I couldn't get it out (neither could my mom). Ended up in the ER, extremely painful shots of novacaine in the ear (described by the doctors as 100 bees stinging the same place at once), and they were able to dig the piercing out of my ear (my ear ended up swelling around the piercing in a matter of hours). Was on antibiotics for a bit. I got white gold earrings too. It's possible that the earrings weren't clean or the piercing gun itself wasn't clean. My newfound metal allergy didn't help anything I'm sure.
I still don't wear earrings anymore. Long story short... don't do it.
Finally a local coffee shop 🥰
❤
I was thinking the same. Some of our local coffee shops have drive thrus as well. I can't imagine that isn't the case in a place as large as LA.
id actually lose my mind if Rachel Zegler came on the plog, i love her and you guys.
me too!!! the new hunger games was honestly life changing also slightly triggering lmao
For some reason Zach knowing Dickies and not Carhartt is hilarious to me
miles can NOT be contained ever since his quit from the company
If the piercing is temporary: don't pierce cartilage! It takes MONTHS to fully heal even if you do everything right.
okay, but their joke about mama birding meals for a day INSTANTLY brought me back to THAT scene from GMM and i shuddered... 😅
From the bottom of my heart Zach please do not get your ear pierced for a video. You are immune compromised and I don't know how dirty those facilities can be. If you went to tattoo shops or professional places it would be fine but if you're going to go to Claire's and other cheap places you're putting yourself at risk. Please don't ever do that
I’m so thankful that the guys take time out of their crazy / hectic day to bring us a weekly plog!! it’s truly the highlight of my week ❤️
They have ads, they do this for money, it's not free, try again
@@geraldineyorarou2221 they actually have a ton of other responsibilities and they often talk about them ON this podcast. 2/4 of them have kids and a million other administrative things to do. I’ve seen comments about how burnt out Zach and Keith seem in these episodes which happens to all creative people. Just because money is involved does not mean that they don’t deserve thanks or appreciation for making content. L take on your behalf!
It's part of their job tho lol
The entire company and its workings is their job, sitting down for an hour with their podcast department is just part of their day lol
@34:00 Rainie's little "topics"/sometimes rants are so ADHD coded and I'm living for it😂❤
As someone who has 14 piercings, please be mindful of where you are getting it done. Piercings also depend on your own individual ear anatomy and could hurt more depending on how they’re placed. I saw someone else suggest you stick to the lobe and I would agree - it hurts the least and healing is much easier for the lobes. Also, even if you take them out immediately you should still clean the holes while they heal. Each piercing artist will recommend a solution for healing, I stick to saline solution or the first aid wound wash from cvs
Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press in the mid 1400s, way before industrial revolution which occured in the late 1700s through the 1800s.
miles saying it was december gave me a heart attack…
I don't think it's a smart idea for Zach to pierce his ears 4 times in one day.
ALL HAIL THE LITTLE VEGAN TREAT
"We should make merch from everything we say"
Welcome to Smosh
Rainie reacting to Zach chucking his sweater onto her coffee while she was checking her phone is like the ultimate Mentos commercial 🤣
lol it was insane to me that miles is just now discovering Carhartt and it’s even more insane that Zach has never heard of them
Sorry to Keith but Miles + Zach + Rainie is absolutely the perfect vibe for this podcast. Miles + Zach + Rainie run errands is one of the highlights of my week.
Please never stop the tryplog ! ❤
I love how much rainee cracks them up 😂
As a history teacher, I cannot emphasize enough how much I loved that whole, vastly incorrect history section.
Why is no one talking about Zach saying that the printing press was invented in colonial America 😭😭
that's some misinformation/propaganda that I was taught as a kid. schools can just tell you whatever
It was so absurd that I assumed he was joking?
@@SoupEaterExtraordinaire I wish 💀
I loved the obstacle course video. Now I need to see one where you all play pickleball ❤
now i want to see zach make a heartwarming documentary about the people he meets on the pickleball court and the importance of building community.
I got my cartilage double pierced like 10 years ago. I still can’t sleep on that side of my head if the earrings are in 😂
LIVING for these merch ideas. We need plot merch immediately!!
This made me so happy. Love the podcast guys.
The discussion about the kale cashew salad is so funny
Tell me Zach did not just say it’s been 10 years… made me feel old
Talk to your doctor about it too Zach!
Zac: "100 Goths at Chipotle"
Me:.....pulling up flight pricing to CA...
the advice theme song montage was so good this episode good job Rainie
I used to work at Claire's.
1) Don't. Piercing cartilage with a gun breaks the cartilage. In an actual piercing shop they use a hollow needle to pierce so there is space for the jewelry.
2) If you do, earlobes heal hella quick if you take it out right away. Like, if you were doing earlobes you could get pieced at a Claire's on one end of the mall, take it out on your way to the Icing down the hallway and be ready for a new one by the time you get there. 60-90 seconds it will close up.
3) They train workers for 5 minutes on a foam ear, and the earring case they stored the cartridges in was in the employee bathroom at my store.
4) Don't.
The sun glare keeps throwing me off…figured the three were hotboxing 😂
Student studying history at Oxford here haha. The printing press was invented in the 1400s and definitely not in America! The Industrial Revolution can be described in a ton of different ways depending on the place one is talking about and the type of evolution or changes being examined there, but the first Industrial Revolution is traditionally recognized as having occurred at the end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th. Love you guys!
Y’all make me laugh so loud with my headphones on. Got me looking like a lunatic 😭😭
flawless montage editing on the advice intro 10/10 ep
Thank you for the song rec at the beginning Rainie! Such a fun music vid
I love Miles "well, bye" :D best outro ever
every thursday morning i wake up at 8 am in a cold sweat to turn on the latest trypod episode and then fall back asleep, waking another hour to restart the episode and start my day.
Shout out to the Pod for completing my existence in ways I never knew I needed 😂 I almost look forward to this / Guilty Pleasures more then Try Guys vidoes at this point 😂
Candid Competition!?! YES. I love the Pod being errands with Rainie, Zach, and Miles
Also Zach. Museums often have things from other places on display. Theres no reason that library couldnt have acquired the first printed Bible and have it on display.
I'm so happy to see y'all going local instead of starbies ❤❤❤
This episode was so good. The vibes were immaculate and goofy 🥰
Take a drive down south to Julian, CA if you want some wintery village vibes, Miles! You, Jules and Sarah would love the pie and mountain views.
The thumbnail made me smile. ❤
Miles instinctively flicking beard crumbs into Zachs car made me feel so seen
i always wonder if they smoke before the episodes bc the energy is always on one omg. the 4 of them r my dream blunt rotation
Zach you can get 4 to 6 piercings of studs without getting to the cartilage. But tattoo shops will probably offer less risk of infection than a claires.
loveddddd the patreon talk backstory hahaha
Clicked for the title, stayed for spread it
the biscuit being cheddar safe after the guesses jejsjfkskfkw that was soooooo funny
This episode made me giggle so much😂
Not me yelling WHY NOT BOTH about the chai conversation and being sad we didn’t get the taste test report!
Love the shine on the vegan treat 😁
I got all 3 of my cartilage piercings done on the same day on the same ear. It was pretty easy but I went to a very reputable piercer (she and I laughed and chatted through the whole appointment) honestly the sound was worse than the pain. I'm also immunocompromised and not have any issues with my cartilage beyond mild irritation (no infections, no major issues) I will say you don't want to sleep on that side of your head for a while for the sake of it healing properly. If you are worried about issues with healing (even if you take it out) don't go anywhere that pierces with a gun. I've had way more issues with my double lobe piercings that were done with a piercing gun YEARS ago than I've had with my cartilage.
ad break in the middle of, advice that will go for miles, theme song was a beautiful unexpected surprise
Missed opportunity with “~cheddar~ sage advice from Miles”
Rainie is a girls girl. I love her.
Tshirt idea: list a bunch of the quotes on the back of the shirt like a festival band list
you cut the kisses at 9 and there was an Exorcist ad in the window and now I'm scared to sleep...thanks.
For the merch you should make one per episode and the first person to guess what’s on it gets to buy it
Rainie lauched that coffee
CANDID COMPETITION!! LET’S GOOO!!!
Hey! Zach! Do soft lobe piercing. Minimal pain, and LOOK UP a piercer who is registered and certified with the Association of Professional Piercers. Please look into this even just for your curiousity!
Also I would love to get alot of piercings and have inside knowledge and would clear my schedule and also dress head to toe goth if that makes a difference for you or Miles, I offer my body in the name of your education!
I have like 7 ear holes that I paid for and yeah, I don't recommend that idea. Miles is right about the earring part pushing in, once it heals its fine to sleep on but I have an industrial that will get sore so I take that out at night sometimes. Its a 12 year old piercing.
If you want piercings, please go to a local piercing studio. Either standalone or within a tattoo shop and check their creds. A piercer will be able to place it best for your anatomy and it will hurt less than a piercing gun. Not to mention much cleaner. Yes it costs more but if you invest first, you won't have to pay more later in medical bills.
I look forward to 2nd try editing zach saying “i won’t go through it” and the next clip is him piercing his ears xD
I cannot unhear “sharting out the new year
The amount of mis-history information in this video. If I didn't love you all, I would spend my time correcting but really it just made me laugh😂
"I just gotta start sayin' good stuff."
THATS MERCH. TAKE MY MONEY
Hiii favs! I have 7 piercings and I’d love to chime in. I’m not a professional. One of my 5 ear piercings did get infected! It was the cartilage piercing. If you want to avoid pain and long heal time, avoid the thick cartilage and get the flappy soft bits pierced. My belly ring didn’t get infected but I know lots of ppl who did and if I were Zach, I’d avoid it lol. No oozing belly bumps for you! Use saline on any piercings and remove the ones you don’t want to keep within 3ish days. Lastly, you’re less likely to get an infection if you remove the ear piercing since you won’t have an open fleshy wound. It’ll scab over and close. My nose piercing was done years ago and is still capable of closing so don’t worry too much about removing the earrings. Make sure the piercing jewelry is TITANIUM to avoid metal allergies. Love you bye
Hell yeah! The mystic museum!
So when I got my piercings, the guy advised me to wait like a few weeks before taking out the earrings or change them out because if you do it immediately after you get the piercing, it would cause bleeding and a higher chance for infection
Don't do it for the plog, Zach! Sleep is more important 😭😂
i heard somewhere that humpty dumpty was possibly a reference to a civil war cannon or something like that? take this with like a full bottle of salt though because this was a minute ago lmaoo
Please take this as a light friendly roast, but this whole group uses the term "by the way" very loosely, and now I've picked up the habit 😂
Yes, this and "actually"
Me a historian : the industrial revolution was 18th and 19th century. The Protestant reformation was able to happen in part because of the invention of the printing press. “First” printing press the Gutenberg was invented in 1440ish, not in colonial America, (first in quotation bc I think there are other claims to a first idk). What Rainie is referring to is the Gutenberg Bible (named as so bc it was printed with a Gutenberg press) and considered as the earliest/first printed version of the Bible, in the collections and on display in the Huntington library which is a library and has an archive (hence why the papers of some famous person are there, papers being journals and other things to that affect I am guessing). Also printing press and the American Revolution are connected because of the ability to spread and share information similar to the Protestant Reformation and the importance that the printing press played in it.
Honestly if you made one of a kind tee shirts with quotes from the pod you could create a bidding war and def make money
Speaking purely from my and friends'experiences but I don't think being immuno compromised has a consistent impact on people's likelihood of piercing infection/reaction. Everyone's body responds to wounds like piercings differently, so it really just depends on how your skin reacts (sorry, not that helpful for someone without prior experience). Also, I don't think every place would allow you to get multiple piercings on the same ear, on the same day, especially if it's your first piercing (and i wouldnt recommend it). Ear piercings are fully penetrating wounds!
It’s whether the dominant notes are sweet or spicy forward. Think red hots vs cinnamon rolls.
Hi! I’m in library school rn, and I’m just finishing my class on the history of the book and printing! Johannes Gutenberg invented the first printing press, which is where the Gutenberg Bible comes from, but the first printing press in the Americas was in Mexico City. :)
Also 10 yours is crazy! I started watching in middle school, and now I’m in grad school.
I feel like alot of the food content forgets about zach. I'm waiting for a without a recipe that zach can actually tastes his food and others.. I guess the oreos count
THEY NEED TO DO A LITTLE VEGAN TREAT EPISODE
