As far as freezer food, my understanding is it just "goes bad" because it's not as fresh tasting but that's because of freezer burn which is when essentially all moisture content has frozen and when thawed/cooked breaks down differently giving the food a weird taste.

Love the episode as usual!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Weirdly enough I have the knowledge to answer several, kinda different topic questions that you asked
    1. Regarding the question about Macklemore and the “big cock”-line: he does have a song from 2005 named Penis Song, which is about how everyone talks about their big penises but this song is for the people like him with average or smaller penises
    2. Zach saying he would like to be a child of Poseidon because it’s hot being the wet person: actually, part of Percy’s power is that he can be in water and doesn’t get soaked unless he actively lets it soak him, otherwise he stays completely dry
    3. Keith asking if waterbenders in Avatar can burst people because of the blood, the direct answer is probably yes, but that is only because we haven’t actively seen that, BUT there is blood bending which does that a waterbender can control another person’s body (even several at the same time) because of how much water there is in blood. And also, again, we haven’t specifically seen it, so can’t say if an airbender can make someone combust, BUT they can suck all air out of a person’s lungs and choke them to death, which is not seen in the last airbender but in Legend of Korra. Also, airbenders are typically pacifist monks so they do not do anything to actively harm anyone
So there you have some answers to some of the topics talked on in the episode

I met Kurt Vonnegut once, before he passed. He came into the restaurant I worked and sat by himself and read a book. He asked if I was a student, I said at the high school, and asked my favorite subject, which was English. I didn't read Slaughterhouse-Five until the next year, so I had no idea who he was at the time. Anyway, he was a nice, quiet guy in my experience.

I connect so much to what Zach was saying about Kurt Vonnegut. I remember reading Slaughterhouse Five and really enjoying it, but then reading the passage where the main character watches a war film in reverse and just about crying because it was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever read. That one passage is still burned into my core and will stick with me for the rest of my life.

As an 11 year grocery store veteran, I can tell you that we do not put food for sale that's rancid. A sale is a sale.
Clearance might be iffy if it's a mom and pop store, but a chain grocer is not gonna be selling rancid meat on purpose.
As someone who has been dirt poor (like food bank poor) i love freezing meat for later, and buying in bulk when on sale. It makes me roll my eyes at these spoiled kids who have never been food insecure.
Of course Keith, who is a down home boy from Tennessee, is all about the meat sales!
Also food going bad in the freezer is more because of freezer burn or temperature fluctuation of going through too many defrost cycles. It makes it taste bad, but probably not dangerous

The reason our freezers get bad food is that new-age freezers have an antifrost feature, which keeps our food from having thick layers of ice that form around the products we store in them. These temperature variations slowly heat up the meat and then refreeze them constantly, leading to meat that goes bad quicker over time. Deep freezers never thaw/defrost and that frozen meat stays good much longer. Invest in a deep freezer and keep it in the garage.

FYI expiration dates are completely arbitrary. Entirely up to the cleanliness of the meat and the prep. If smells bad, discolored or has a slippery film toss it. Cold slows bacterial activity, but freezing will kill the bacteria by ice crystal formation. But ice crystals also cause the cells of the meat to rupture and gets the meat squishy

I have a friend who loves 2013 music a lot and sends it to me and I've realised that that's the time we met and became friends and that's very cute but also the year is great in general for music and nostalgia.

At least in my area, there haven't been any manager specials since covid. It hurts. I used to get steaks and pot roast to cook the same day. It was the only way I could afford the nice beef cuts. 😭
Also, I live in the 2nd largest city in my state. I don't live in a small area AT ALL, and our food supply is very unstable. We have rows of empty aisles sometimes. I never saw that before covid, but now it's commonplace. I heard the war in Ukraine is affecting the global food supply, too.

For Rainy: The goddess of earth is Gaia, Rhea (a Titan) is her daughter, who is the mother of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon, as well as their sisters: Demeter, Hera and Hestia. So Gaia is like their grandmother

The mythology nerd and avatar nerd in me were dying this episode. Spoilers ahead I guess even though one is mythology and avatar is an oldish show at this point. Still love it though.
As for earth in the greek mythology, that's like the mother of the gods. The olympians are like her grandchildren. As for avatar and Keith talking about waterbenders and blood, there is blood bending where you can control a person's movements. As for airbending, in the spinoff of avatar a person was killed by having the air taken out of their lungs. I doubt y'all really care that much, but I felt the need to share. Have a great day! And if you actually read this (even other viewers), thanks lol
