    I have just chanced upon Rick Steves on You Tube and what a revelation. These are wonderful videos and amazing well presented. The start of a long friendship I think ! Greetings to everyone from beautiful Scotland.

    The waters between Stockholm and Waxholm are the "inner archipelago", together with everything on the inside of the big islands Värmdö, Ljusterö, Blidö... then you have the "middle archipelago, where Svartsö is, still protected and green but with a little bit more of a ocean connection, outside of that comes the "outer archipelago" where you will need a private boat, less trees, more rock, less houses and with the baltic close by. My tip is to go to the outer part of the middle archipelago, like Sandhamn, Möja, Finnhamn/Husarö or Svartlöga... the maximum experience is to go to the outer archipelago in a kayak
