- i know wednesday and tyler's relationship isn't for everyone, but I must say lovers to enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and I feel like they have the potential to actually make it work between these two characters, if done right. it's not often that you have a character like wednesday where it seemingly makes sense for her to be with a psychopathic hyde.
i really did love this show and am so pleased with how it turned out. regardless of if wednesday and tyler's relationship is explored more next season, i would like to see tyler's charcter developed to know what he went through. hopefully we get a season 2!

I really hope he was genuine when he said “I’ve done terrible things, but I swear I’m not a terrible person.” I honestly do believe that near the end, the Hyde had taken over him too much. Hopefully we see him restore more of his human side next season and redeem himself.
I saw someone say that he should be taken to government facility where they test him and Wednesday saves him and cures him or something.
@@JoeyWitter I honestly hope they don’t go down that route because it’s too fan fiction like for me. If him and Wednesday are intended to be endgame than the writers will find some creative way to redeem him. I think he definitely will be put in a facility though that Wednesday may or may not visit.

There is more to him I don't know if good or bad but the fact Tyler, Xavier, and Wednesday all have a strange connection can't be coincidence. My theory is past ancestors of all three have made them connected in some way. When Xavier explained he had met her when they were kids because of family. I had a strange feeling that could be the connection and considering Tyler's outcast bloodline are Hydes could explaine why his bloodline people die early or go insane which is why only the two were meeting. Plus the way Goody smiled when she "healed" Wednesday was to strange, it makes sense the next story for season two will have to do with their ancestors in some way.
Hope they find their way back to each other the next season 🥺🙏🏼

Not to mention, there's one little moment, in the confession scene, Tyler looks at her dearly when she painfully looks at him with teary eyes. I love it, keep watching that one over and over

I agree, I think it is a Jekyll and Hyde split personality type scenario. What the therapist says when the sheriff was listening to her recorded notes supports this. Also the bathtub scene may imply that he is not enjoying himself as the Hyde and is struggling.
I felt so sorry for him, he didn’t deserved that, we need season 2 and we need their relationship be continued

It wasn't hard falling for Tyler but it was hard when he broke our hearts.....this character deserves better. He was broken from the beginning. He needs to be redeemed. And we need them to find each other again.

I wonder if that look has anything to do with the ending of Jekyll & Hyde. Jekyll may have lost control of his transformation into Hyde, but he clearly still have a conscience to give himself the ending he got. Hope this one won't be as sad.

I think he has a good side and the Hyde is his alter ego. The therapist’s recorded notes that the sheriff was listening too supports this. I think Wednesday showing him she now wanted nothing to do with him, torturing him, and bringing up his mom triggered the alter ego.

yes, I totally agree like Wednesday needs someone who understands her darkness. I would be ok with either what you said lovers to enemies to lovers, a redemption arc so Tyler becomes good or even a Wednesday goes bad to be with him. I just want them together they have so much chemistry and I feel like their personalities just fit so well together
Or both retain elements of "good" and destruction in balance so the destructive side never gets out of hand. The need to banish the destructive side is what ironically leads to destructions. Just look at how the Pilgrims (& religious extremists) justify their murderous actions.

@@MsEdgely Well of course but that's the Hyde part of him talking. We probably still met the real him in his non Hyde Normie form but the whole concept of Jekyll and Hyde is they're like split personalities within the same body!

that glimpse right after confronting Wednesday held SO much emotion. The actor ate up that scene. And this edit, chefs kiss! I feel like Wednesday Addams would be the perfect partner for a Hyde.
When I tell u how badly I was waiting for them to try and make things right between them, god I hope they do in the next season I love them so much, Tyler didn't deserve this man, poor baby
Some people are being dramatic about Tyler being a monster serial killer and how he should not be with her but they seem to be missing why he is named ''Hyde'' as in Jekyll and Hyde, which means he has an innocent side trapped inside that monster. He has a split personality and near the end of the show unfortunately the Hyde side took over completely but it doesn't mean his other side was not present or didn't fall for Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how they handle this dynamic next season but anyone who pretend this duo isn't one of the most intriguing part of this series, are lying to themselves. This dynamic between can be used in so many ways and create magic because it's so complex. No real creative mind is going to ignore that potential. Even if she gets with Xavier, i doubt it will be the last of her and Tyler.
Yeah, I'd rather see her with Enid than Xavier. Unless Xavier develops something more interesting than puppy love. Although there is the relationship between her parents. And you know they say people can unconsciously fall for people like their parent of the opposite gender.

We need to believe Tim Burton as a director and creator with Tyler character and their (T & W) pair. They'll be together beautifully, they'll somehow help each other grow as people.
@@L-K-K stop with the Enid thing, she only has eyes for Ajax! Either she'll be willing so badly to stay alone since the fiasco of her first kiss with Tyler. He broke her trust, so I doubt she's gonna give now her trust so easily. Xavier, I don't believe it, she clearly said that she didn't feel anything for him. At best, she could be friend with him, they share some common interests, art, visions thingy but a love story, no, or that would be boring. As for Tyler, it will depend on the evolution of the character in the show. If he remains a basic bad guy, there will be no way for her, after all he almost kills her and Enid. But if he becomes a complex character and they develop the Hyde mythology, the story of the mother, there could be a very interesting potential there.

Wednesday Addams, a psychotic girl, with a REAL monster of her own who, if she masters hypnosis, could control him herself (knowing Wednesday she wouldn't CONTROL him, but tame him... Until someone messes with Pugsley). He totally GETS her, just like her dad gets 'Tish... I mean he literally TORTURED her with Legally Blonde (a DEFINITE horror movie to HER) with a CRYPT PICNIC! I L🖤VE this ship!
i do believe he actually loved wednesday. i used to be very mad when it turned out he was the hyde but then I realized he was being manipulated and groomed the whole time. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they will do to him in the next season.

I have a theory that Wednesday is actually the true connection to Tyler and the redhaired chick only managed to control him with the nightshade. At the end he starts to transform when Wednesday drives past, maybe he escapes and follows Wednesday.

(Real note I need them to be together but I’m concerned since she’s probably still alive & controlling him but if not them he’s either gonna be normal till someone unlocks his Hyde again or he’s gonna go insane and on a killing spree out of revenge) but I need them to be together like they’re both so cute and Wednesday kissed HIM not Xavier so she obviously wanted it.
Here's a challenge for Wednesday - accomplish what Nevermore couldn't by teaching him how to channel his destructive urges more constructively. Then again, she's only a child herself, still figuring things out. But feels like such a challenge would be right up her alley.
@L C yeah I think in season 2 there will be a mystery and a villain that poses a bigger threat so they will need Tylers Hyde abilities. Wednesday will need to become Tyler's master so she can control him.

I like Tyler SOOOO much better than Xavier, and call me gay but Tyler’s better looking 💀 I know Wednesday almost torcheres him, and Tyler is a cereal killer monster who hurt Wednesday on many occasions, I still REALLY want Wednesday to end up with tyler. Honestly, I feel really bad for tyler, he was taken over by monster dna that his mom gave him, and he couldn’t control it, the red head whatever her name is made him do it, then he lost control over the Hyde. I hope they both apologize sincerely in season 2 enough that they can actually be in the same room together, better yet, talk/ “work on their love live.” Tyler was obviously using Wednesday and “pretending to love her.” But I think that was real tbh, and I think Tyler is perfect for Wednesday. For those that have seen the Netflix show lucifer (which btw is a great show) *S P O I L E R*
It’s kinda like when chloe finds out lucifer is the real devil and can’t accept him then realizes she truly loves him and accepts him even tho he’s the devil, I think they will both realize they’re made for each other and accept each other despite the horrible things they’ve both done

Edit: I also think a great plot for s2 is Tyler gets taken to some facility where they do tests on him or some shit but then Wednesday finds him in a Liam neeson taken kinda way then the rest of the season is Wednesday trying to find a way to cure Tyler from the Hyde.

I agree, finally some sense by someone. What the show gave us was a nice tease between these 2 and not gonna lie, I was actually starting shipping them... but when he confessed to her his plans, how he enjoys killing others and started the threats... bitch no, you are long gone!! He was playing her from the beginning, not love there, just psychopathic manipulation. One ofcourse could argue that's what exactly Wednesday likes...
But they couldn't have planned Wednesday's arrival in town, nor that she would show up in the coffee shop. I think it's more opportunistic. Maybe it was initially genuine interest & attraction, but turned at the dance when Thornhill saw the opportunity to advance her plan more easily?
Can't help that as soon as Wednesday realised he was the Hyde she turned on him with no pity. Thornhill is smarter in that respect - she manipulated him to her advantage rather than rejected him like everyone else.

Okay everyone is like - I'm so sorry for him, he's being controlled blablabla like wtf?! Wednesdsy was fucking manipulated by him he played her feelings and then betrayed and hurt her sm , we could saw it when she cried after kissing him and in the police station bc i think even when she was sure and she was torturing him, she still thought that it's not real. He fucking brought their to their date met spot and he hung her in chains like i'm so sorry for Wednesday, and he and his "master" almost killed Thing and they opened Wednesday's trauma after losing her pet my poor little baby 🥺
The thing is you are not wrong. But...but...did Tyler really from the very beginning try to manipulate her. He was kind and sweet to her before she got involved in trying to find a monster or it's master. Remember, the monster Tyler had multiple opportunities to kill her. Multiple. He only turned on her AFTER his "master" ordered him to.
This is a guy/creature who didn't even know what he was till he was manipulated and taken advantage of. He is suffering from deep emotional scarring from the loss of his mother and the non relationship with his emotionally distant father. Just like Frankenstein or Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Tyler is a complicated monster. He wants to love and live as a human. His and Wednesdays story could be a tragic version of beauty and the beast. Or maybe a happy ending? Time will tell.
maybe people understand that not everything revolves only around her, and they have empathy for other characters too. He was manipulated, abused and controlled himself and he is completely under control of the Hyde-side of him, and Laurel. but no, he should not get sympathy, cause he is a boy, and we care only about the main heroine.
