By god man... I contemplated over the summer if this run would happen, or if I'd go for it. Having so much stuff going on otherwise, Spelunky has been on a backburner for months for me. I'm personally hoping to get Max No% Hell, but I haven't put any effort into it in the past 3 to 4 months, and even then it was very little effort: Just a few runs. You are so capable of these seemingly impossible tasks. One day I hope to reach your current skill level. One day, I might beat Max No% Hell, but that day might be years down the road. I find out Thursday at 8:48PM (5:48 PT), and I have final exams and AP Physics C and AP Chemistry and and and.... etc... My life is so full, I struggle to find time to sit down and do things I enjoy. Congratulations though!!! This was simply a fantasy, and you brought it to fruition. Your potential in this game knows no bounds, and I'm excited to see what you can bring to the table from here on out.
Just so we're clear, "11 years" is supposed to be the time that passed since the PC release date of Spelunky HD, rather than the time passed since the first time this challenge was attempted (I don't know if anyone else even attempted this before.)
I need the mathematicians who ran statistics on whether or not Dream was cheating his Minecraft speedrun to also put into perspective how crazy this challenge is LOL
So, the guy with all the funny Terraria Randomizer runs casually makes some historic content on Spelunky. You knew this year was the one to pull it off, 2024 truly is the one year with tons of other historic content related to gaming. I know this because I have seen a LOT of crazy games and seen some insane stuff beyond belief! Have you seen NES Tetris’s rebirth screen or the robot I made in a game?
At 0:48 i had to replay like 5 times and then watch the keyboard input to figure out how he killed the snake... You can do that?? Jump from a ledge grab and just kill a snake at the edge?
Anyone know the song that is playing from 6:20 - 8:50 ? I know the songs are all from UFO 50 but waow thats a big soundtrack Also congrats! This run is so impressive that it boggles the mind
from what I've gathered, it just means doing the item "chain" to unlock stuff (like to unlock the city of gold, you need the scythe at least to open up the door to it)
If you have the book of the dead, it makes a funny face when you're standing over the hell door! It actually does the same in every other level too, but it's not quite as useful :)

worm isn't chain ;) i dont think anyone actively plays for all locations or whatever though because you have to get through basically a whole run to see if you even just got lucky enough to actually see worm, mothership, and the castle
