This is a technique you'll need for handbags, clothing, and other items. It's a great solution for when you want to add a mostly-hidden pocket to a project or want to keep an item sleek and simple-looking by adding a classy version of a pocket.

Thank you for making it look easier than some iv watched, but can i ask im doing pockets for shorts and they are curved, so do i do it the same for the double welt. Its been 40years since i last did them and cannot remember, again thank you

I would expect curved pockets would need a different method.

The large welt pocket looks like the pockets that come on some sweat pants to hold your cellphone.

Can this pocket be done in stretch material as in leggings?

I don’t see why not. Might just be a little bit more difficult due to stretch.
