I was in the same situation and I had to leave for Canada. I now have a 20k loan coz I had to enroll into a grad school in Canada. Life is hard for international students. I just wish I went back home and spare myself all the debt.... But how would my future look like back home? That's the question.

Watching this video and i’m so emotional. Didn’t get picked for lottery too (2nd time). Last year I called my mum when I was rejected and cried my eyes out. This year I couldn’t even cry. After I saw the rejection I said “life moves on” and started making future plans for Canada and PHD. It is so draining and I wish I went to Canada years ago instead of USA

This seems like a shady employer or I don’t know what your deal is with them. They can literally sponsor you for an employment based Green Card and you would probably end up getting it before your stem opt expires. Most employers would want to retain foreign talents. if ur not from India or China they would immediately start GC process if ur not selected in lottery .See if that’s an option and good luck !

I have been watching so many videos from international student youtubers from different countries to find the best option for my daughter. Australia and Canada are the best options. I have a few more years of research.
I followed your channel before my application to the USA and your videos still give me a lot of encouragement as a PhD Computer Science student here in the USA.
Thats why countries like Canada are better and have a healthy relationship with international students..in Canada you dont need to work for a company to file for your post degree work permit.. and you dont need any company to also apply for your permanent residence..USA is harsh to international students...you cant work outside the school as an international student, you only work inside the school for 20hrs during the classes and above in summer..if you are married and your spouse comes along he or she can't work or go to school either.. unlike other countries like Canada,UK and Australia . USA puts so much pressure on international students who have spent so much money going to school here. Best advise is while you wait for the H1B thing..also start your Canadian PR application process rather than going back to your home country..Canada is just behind the backyard and share similar lifestyle and environment with US

I followed your page from when you got denied F1 visa and you made it through.You will also make it through this time.I suggest that you go to Canada.I had a friend who had a gap of three years and applied to community college back in Obama administration and got visa but in 2020 while going for masters and she had kids she got visa on third trial and she recently left for Canada with her kids because of the immigration challenge in USA.

You don't have to depart the country (USA) at the end of the OPT or without selection in the H-1B lottery. I found another means where you could stay in the country legally, and maintain your job. Let me know if you'd like to know about it

You must be talking of enrolling in Day 1 CPT colleges to keep on working Lol ICE doesnt like that. This usually hurts most peoples immigration chances in the future. ICE regularly set up fake day 1 cpt colleges to catch students and deport them .....look up the story of farmington university and the hundreds of aliens ICE deported from that sting operation

There is usually 2nd round in July. If you look at the last year's H1B lottery, they had 3 rounds. They will have rounds until 85,000 people get approved.
The 3rd rounds you had last year was as a result of covid-19 and not much internationals to apply...now that covid-19 is getting over with..you may not have that round again and like Aladi said..it is still a lottery
@Collins Okafor actually the part of reasons why they have multiple rounds is also because there are people with 10+ applications, so they get picked multiple times and company files only 1 or 2 per person.

I didn't see it on the list when I checked immigration so I wanted to find out if cases like this had happened b4, where the University would state a program was stem designated but it wasn't on the immigration list. I followed your page from when you got denied F1 visa and you made it through.You will also make it through this time.I suggest that you go to Canada.I had a friend who had a gap of three years and applied to community college back in Obama administration and got visa but in 2020 while going for masters and she had kids she got visa on third trial and she recently left for Canada with her kids because of the immigration challenge in USA.

You don't have to depart the country (USA) at the end of the OPT or without selection in the H-1B lottery. I found another means where you could stay in the country legally, and maintain your job. Let me know if you'd like to know about it

You must be talking of enrolling in Day 1 CPT colleges to keep on working Lol ICE doesnt like that. This usually hurts most peoples immigration chances in the future. ICE regularly set up fake day 1 cpt colleges to catch students and deport them .....look up the story of farmington university and the hundreds of aliens ICE deported from that sting operation

There is usually 2nd round in July. If you look at the last year's H1B lottery, they had 3 rounds. They will have rounds until 85,000 people get approved.
Unfortunately, it’s still a lottery. No guarantee I will be selected.
The 3rd rounds you had last year was as a result of covid-19 and not much internationals to apply...now that covid-19 is getting over with..you may not have that round again and like Aladi said..it is still a lottery
@Collins Okafor actually the part of reasons why they have multiple rounds is also because there are people with 10+ applications, so they get picked multiple times and company files only 1 or 2 per person.

I applied and got admission to study a master's in accounting degree and the University said it's a stem-designated program. I didn't see it on the list when I checked immigration so I wanted to find out if cases like this had happened b4, where the University would state a program was stem designated but it wasn't on the immigration list.
Also, during your stem opt, how many hours where you allowed to work?
