The Studley Park Boathouse is the first boathouse in Melbourne Australia and located in the suburb of Kew - Back in 1863 the Burn Family established the first boathouse on the Yarra River, and named it "Riversdale"; this same boathouse is known as the Studley Park Boathouse Kew
The boathouse is just a 10-15 minute drive from the Melbourne CBD (Central Business District)
In 1992 Heritage architects developed a restoration plan and the boathouse was re-roofed, re-wired and refitted while maintaining all its original character and ambience.
Studley Park Boathouse has also been the location for the tv soapie, "Neighbours", "The Sullivans" including the tv mini-series "Power without Glory" and the movie "Squizzy Taylor".
