Despite all the noise you still had good audio . . . I could hear every word you two were saying (unlike some other horrible YT interviews the last couple of days)
She is queen of the castle
She is master of her domain
She is beauty, she is grace
She is elegance and taste
She is Miss Emma Bates
Emma before the race interview...I think I'm in 2:18-2:19 shape. Emma after running 2:24...I did better than I thought I was capable of. Love her but my gosh are the pre-race interviews just propaganda lol
@@nberkel It’s very common to be in shape for a certain time and not to perform up to the level that training was reflecting. It’s especially common in the marathon
Thank you for your helpful insight. I am well aware of this anomaly. Re-read my comment as I was talking about how she contradicted herself...
I agree with you. She needs to let her legs fo the talking. There's no need for her to say she's in AR shape and then run 6 minutes off pace.
I said this in the pre-race interview comment section and was ripped. It gets sooooo old that she always says she is in AR shape the last 2-3 marathons and NEVER delivers. Like if she had run sub 2:20 and gotten close then we'd get it and the day was just not that perfect. But she is consistently 5+min away from the AR yet brings it up constantly.
Wow, the running crowd is harsh!
