What a class act I can't believe the radio stations stopped supporting him specially when he was still writing great music. I met him in Belleville at his show there in 07 maybe and I'm still displaying his photo with us still on Facebook a great man and artist...you'll never become irrelevant your' music will live on my friend
I swear I will never get over Andy Kim...will never get over Sugar Sugar or Baby I love You...I just don't want to!!! He is as handsome as he has ever been!
What a sweet guy! Everywhere he goes... in every interview... humble.. kind... An extraordinarily talented singer/songwriter and person. Almost 60 years (in 2023) from when he ventured out to The Brill Building in New York. May God keep blessing him...
Wow, Sugar, Sugar is one of my all-time favorite songs. I just played it and then thought of Rock Me Gently and played that. JUST learned Andy Kim wrote Sugar, Sugar!
This is great. I always like to know what happened to artists from yesteryear. I'm glad to know Andy is alive and well. He seems like a nice guy and I've enjoyed this video. Thank you CBC Music for sharing this with us. Very cool!
In 1968 "The Beach Boys" were my favorite at age 3..Later on -- Mariska Veres & Andy Kim & Jimi Hendrix were some of my favorite singer when I was 5 years old......back in 1970."The Archies" was my favourite cartoon. Andy Kim is a totally awesome singer !! "Sugar, Sugar" is one great song.
This guy has the pop star looks, along with the likes of Humperdink and Jones. and what a nice guy. The girls love him still, and good luck to the guy !
Great voice! I never knew anything about you in the 60’s. After seeing this video, I am impressed finding more of your music! You are strong and good, will never forget you!
Under-appreciated Bubblegum Genius! I love his stuff. Fave on the AM oldies stations. Just listen to "Rainbow Ride" for starters. He has a bunch of great tunes.
This is beautiful music. And the performer the best. Todays music is terrible and the performers are disgusting. I wish we could go back. God bless the world.
Andy Kim.....never really knew of him but yeah Sugar Sugar's a COOL Song, so then Andy's the writer of this song as well as other songs? Looking at his face in his youth and now, I bet he's native american, WOW! Another great pop singer, like Redbone, yes Native is GOOD!
So.... WHEN are Andy Kim and Ron Dante going to return here to Las Vegas for another great show? I saw them together doing all their great hits, at the Riviera Hotel, oh.. maybe 2004? Andy knocked us out with a special long version of Rock me Gently, and "how'd we ever get this way". Of Course, Dante (real name Carmine Granito) did all his big hits, Sugar Sugar, Tracy, I think he even braved to sing "Leader of the Laundrymat" by the Detergents! And Toni Wine was in the audience! Why wasn't she on stage with them? Toni is on a hundred hit records, and wrote Candida and Knock Three Times for Tony Orlando (and sings the stupid Meow Meow Meow song for the cat food commercial!). And... she is ON Sugar Sugar with Dante! Gene Pitney once told me the 'other voice' on '"Its So Easy to Fall In Love" was Toni Wine. Anyway... we need those three BACK here in Vegas, as soon as this covid crap dies down now that we have the vaccine! And Bring back Tony Orlando, too! (Toni played keyboards in his band for bout the last 10 years -- saw them every time at the Southpoint hotel here). But.... Barry Longfellow??? Yeesh!
To not only have a number one hit but to write and perform more than one is truly amazing.

Seems like a wonderful man. I'm glad he has made a comeback. I loved his stuff in the 70s!

Sounds like a special little journey to take. Ending in some Andy Kim enlightenment!
In addition to cowriting it, Andy also sang background vocals on Sugar Sugar!
He was so gorgeous, still is , love all his songs GB

2 very beautiful songs that went to number one, he deserves to be in God's book of life for that alone.

🎶💖🎶
you would almost think that was Neil Diamond singing
He’s like the good version of Gene Simmons. With talent and a humble attitude.
Andy Kim is the first singer songwriter I was aware of before I was 10. The Beatles were too eager to please the adult crowd...
No Plastic Surgery here... nope... nope
I thought he was blonde.....
Horrible songs, but ballsy move to 'start my own record label!'
Baby I love you, na na na na na
