I think out of context, Sky Tower is the better music track. But in context Temporal Tower fits the mood of a final dungeon better, and compliments the tone of the story at that point in the game way better.

IGN gave this game a 5.0/10. After I saw that, I decided that I will no longer trust IGN with game reviews, because this is one of the greatest games I've ever played. The soundtrack is perfect (Shown here, for example), the story is amazing, and it is practically theatrical, and the gameplay is enticing. IGN suck. Then again, those bastards also gave 7.8/10 to Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire because of 'too much water'. Get the hell out, IGN.
+Carl I might of joined a mini flame war in the comment section of that video, and BTW, my icon is temporal tower on the video for temporal tower...LAWLSIES!
Shame on IGN for giving this game such a low rating and they said the music was bad. Explorers of sky has some of the most memorable music in the pokemon franchise
This is one pokemon game I feel can never be matched no matter what. It's my second favorite Pokemon game of all time and for dam good reason.. It has a feels driven story and decent character development (something that is semi-rare in the main games). It has some of the best atmosphere in any game. This is because the soundtrack is fucking amazing....and sets the tone right. You hear this song, and you know it's down to the wire, last hope, one more time. I have played Time and Sky, and each playthrough gets more exciting. I wish I could go back and play this for the first time again, i had a lot of doubts cause I never played the Mystery Dungeon games before, but I'm sure as heck glad I did. Thanks Gamefreak for making one hell of a memorable game.
Segastar1 I agree completely too but I still haven't played Sky yet so I don't know the differences between it and Darkness (the version I played). Someday, when I get the courage and skill to commentate over the dungeons, I'll LP this game.
Quite possibly the best theme for time running out ever. You've struggled through the whole thing, made your mistakes, won your victories, but now you're here. This is the end, this is the final chance. If you manage this, you've won, despite it all, despite the fact that you spent 1/3 of the game trying to stop the only one who had the world's best interests at heart, despite the fact that you've had to sacrifice everything and everyone--from Team Skull to Chatot to Grovyle, to the looming threat of your hero's own death--to get here, you can finally win. You just have to persevere; now is your final chance, and you can't blow it.
@@HaxeRain Yeah it does, if you head back when you reach temporal tower it asks if you wish to return, you get flavor text with Lapras too if you do so
"Welcome to the Salty Spitoon. How tough are ya?" How tough am I? Uh.. I beat Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. "Yeah, so?" Without a single tear. "R-right this way, sorry to keep you waiting!"
@@kirbstagoontheaxolotl I was kinda sad when I found out that the real final boss was him, I really expected a better after story but it still remains one of my favorite games of all times
I remember being curled up, hiding, under a blanket from my mother at 11 PM. I turned the volume to the minimal setting, and worked on getting to Dialga. As an 8 year old at the time, I wasn't very good at the game, so I barely had items to work with and little skills to be had. But, using my hopelessly overlevelled Pokemon and surprisingly advanced techniques for someone my age my thinking through every little movement 5 minutes each, I finally made it to the pinnacle.
shadowlord mcgill Heck yeah I did dude! Turn 1, I move backwards and command my partner to "Stay out of Trouble". We both ran away, and Dialga moved into my line of sight. I threw a stun seed. Dialga dodged it and moved forward. I try again, with him 1 space away, and he catches it. Finally I throw a sleep seed, and he eats the thing. I tell my partner to use swords dance I taught her from a TM I pulled from my box, saving it until "the moment was right". I use swords dance as well. This goes on for two turns until Dialga wakes up and Roar of Time's my sorry butt. Hanging on with a few HP left, we slowly whittle him down with various attacks I don't remember. I think I died a few times but since I had my Reviver seeds I've been saving, I take down the monstrous beast and bawled my eyes out when I disappeared in front of my bestest buddy in the whole world.
One of the best parts of this game was probably that it provided such character that any player could immensely bond with them. Also the fact that a fictional game character had spoken such true and meaningful words before his death.
@@justalpha9138 Still, I love how you actually have to listen to the bells although they have depth to them. They don't jump at you. The panning between the congas is aggressive and most "standing out" single thing about this piece, but even still, I like it so goddamn much. It gives so much energy to the whole song, jumping back and forth between the low on the right, high ones on the left. The synth that goes through the song adds a lot of depth, it's wide and low, and very epic, alternating between ominous and beautiful. I love the percussion sounds and the flute, the lower flute (whatever it is) especially sounds very acoustic and real, It stands out from the rest. The choir is very obviously-synth-sounding, but it gives a retro video game feeling. The drums are very clear, and they don't obscure the other instruments, but the snarly clap effect kicks so much ass and soundwise the bells are the pinnacle of the song because of their depth. So, I just honestly love this whole thing. The ascending staccato-kind of synth on its own I think is the weakest element, but, well, I don't know how I would replace it either. This is so fucking beautiful and well made IMO, I guess I love this a bit too much. Never played the game either.
+ZOMG I was unlucky to have a monster house full with discharge and imprison bastards. Shinx and Vulpix first time around, but it didn't make a difference because death happened anyway after one turn. Could've prevented it if I took a good orb with me, but I never used those things before I got there.
I just had an idea. You know how in Black and White, when you go through the badge gates, another instrument is added until it finishes once you actually enter Victory Road? Imagine if it worked the same with Temporal Tower for the first several floors Outside the tower, no music plays. Only the sound of wind, menus, and dialogue occur. 1F - No music, but the wind is gone. Only a faint, ticking clock can be heard in the background, regardless of whatever fighting you have to do. Even Monster Houses do not change the eery silence. 2F - The long, drawn out tone that plays at the beginning of the song as it now is begins to sound quietly, mixed with the continued ticking of the clock. It reminds you of “The Power of Darkness”, but no melodies play, just ticking, and the same note, drawn out continuously. 3F - The drums begin. The note and ticking remain the same. 4F - The first part of the electric organ begins, but it’s odd, playing most of the melody we hear at the beginning but cutting itself off at weird intervals. Everything else remains the same 5F - The organ fixes itself and completes the phrases as they should be. The note that has been holding finally is allowed to deviate up and down a bit, but only at erratic timings. 6F - Now, the instruments sound like they’re supposed to at the beginning of the song, with the choir finally joining. It does not progress into the main melody, but continues the rhythmic rise that the intro plays, the part between 0:08 to 0:26. 7F - The melody finally begins to progress. It does not go past 1:00, however, looping still, but further than before. 8F - The song now is allowed to fully complete, progressing as normal throughout the rest of the floors. I dunno if it would get annoying or what... but it sounds like a cool idea to mess with at least. Ah, if only I knew how to make this...
OMG you are so right! Both Grovyle's Sacrifice and I Don't Want to Say Goodbye made me cry :'( but they are awesome. I must insist, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games have awesome songs.
No matter if I disappear, it'll all be worth it for a world where my partner, my guild, and everyone in Treasure Town can have peaceful lives.... I will stop the end of time, even if I have to die trying! (My feelings as I'm climbing Temporal Tower the first time)
so a while back, i stumbled back onto this song while splurging on, of all things, *doom mods*. my first time hearing it was playing PMD Explorers like most other players, but when Ozonia threw this into the WAD as a part of one of the penultimate levels in a heavenly skyscape... i had to take a moment the level finished loading. i wasn't playing Guncaster (the gameplay mod), nor was i playing Ozonia (the WAD) anymore, for a moment, i was taken back to Temporal Tower and i just felt home. never have i felt more cozy ripping and tearing through the hordes of hell as i felt my old partner watch once more. i miss having shinx as my partner again. the Riolu-Shinx duo is what got me through Sky.
After almost 10 years, this music still gives me goosebumps. The game's story, their soundtrack, the pixely move animations were all so disgustingly good. 10/10, a true masterpiece.
I played this game over a decade ago when I was a kid and, out of any piece of game ost, this one has stuck with me the most. I find myself whistling this while walking through town sometimes or going about my day, over 10 years later. Damn

Gates to infinity could've been good if they made the dungeons more like Blue/Red and Time/Dark/Sky's randomization. Also, anyone else wondering why the heck they removed hunger? That was one of the greatest challenges and one of the key features of the Mystery Dungeon franchise. Aswell as the fact that I've noticed their newer 3D games seem to lack in a way... X and Y had no post-game and Gates to infinity feels to short and easy.
the looker missions were pretty good. and try ORAS and don't use the exp share. whebn you rematch the league the elite four and champion are in their 70's in terms of level with megas on their team and the delta episode is very epic. and their are so many legendaries too.
gates to infinity to me feels like they didn't try too hard with it, granted when you need to follow up on a title like explorers of sky, you're morale might take a hit, but sometimes it felt like they didn't even care, parts of the story felt like complete ripoffs of the previous games (grovyle and hydreigon anyone?) the mechanics are completely broken with stuff like the move rank up system (axew can one-shot kyurem very easily with it) removing hunger like you already mentioned, also the fact that you're entire group gains experience meaning you can just have the player and partner pokemon do all the fighting, not have to worry about not using the others, and don't even get me started on that after game (or lack of one)
This song really signals "the journey's end" or "the last obstacle". It personally tells me "this final task of yours (Temporal Tower) is the accumulation of all your hard work and struggles!"
... it's a little painful to play this game when you don't have any close friends.. cuz you really bond with your partner.. but in the end, he's not even real.
PMD:EOT has one of my favorite soundtracks in ANY game. And is by far my favorite pokémon soundtrack. This song is one of the prime examples why. You are about to restore time and space. This song builds the atmosphere to the final battle completely. It has all been leading to this. The final showdown at the primal version of the (i think) god of time itself. This is where your journey ends. THIS IS THE FINAL ROAD TO A NEW FUTURE.
I still can't believe I finished this game when I was a kid with little to no english knowledge (Viva México cabrones), and what's even more incredible, is the fact that I bawled my eyes out with the ending. If a game can achieve such feelings on someone even with limitations like mine, it's a good game.
This song just echoes the sentiment that you are in torn world, struggling to survive. The lighter chime-like sounds and notes kind of forewarn of a light at the end of the dark tunnel, however.
I for one think this is one of the best games you can play. It brings you up close into Pokemon and has an awesome story to it that goes beyond the game itself. I'm really happy that I own this game.
PMD is my favorite series. From Red Rescue Team to Explorers of Sky, I loved every moment of it. To any Legacy of Goku II fans out there, doesnt this sound similar to their ending soundtracks? The sound of bells as an expression of time. I love it
I was completely caught off guard when grovyle was from the future goes back to the future with dusknoir even before we get to the tower then we gotta climb it fight dialga and then as time goes on we finally get yo fight darkrai and the palkia shows up and destroys his escape portal and darkrai loses his memory and starts over god I love this fucking game.
Same. Some remakes always over remix their original songs to the point where it doesnt carry the same charm as the originals, but DX's soundtrack was done so well. I have high hopes for the eventual and hopeful Explorers remakes now.
I honestly didnt had a rough time in this at all. I was Riolu and my partner was Vulpix. We swept through the Temple thanks to our long training from Makuhita Dojo. It was fun, I love this game :P
DragonTamer Shadria Oh yeahh! I got them both confused. haha. Im sorry. I played Blue so much more before Sky came out. But Sky is my favorite. so im more connected to Makuhita lol
You climb this tower: knowing if you complete your mission at the top you’re going to die, but you do it to save the lives of everyone you’ve grown to love over the course of your adventure 🥹
THIS IS HOW YOU BUILD UP A LOOMING FINAL BATTLE!! I love this game to death, and to think, I had never even heard of it until my friend KM got me into the series, and I have been hooked ever since. Primal Dialga even made it onto our top favorite final bosses list. THIS SONG AND AREA ARE AWESOME!!
I am actually a fan of the mystery dungeon series. Explorer was my first mystery dungeon game and I love it. Especially explorer of sky. I don't even know how many times I played the bonus episode with Growyle and Dusknoir. Both of them are actually my favorite characters in the entire mystery dungeon series because of that bonus episode. The character development of Dusknoir is good and I wanted to see more about him. In this episode you can better see Growyles character. Explorer has also in my opinion one of the best sound tracks in the entire pokemon series. I really like Dialga's battle theme. It's epic and you know that you fight for the future. Some themes have bells in it and it sounds good.
I've never played this game but this is one of my all-time favourite video game songs. Extraordinary attention to detail and balance between different instruments without anything extra or redundant, just pure expression with the perfect sounds and mix. I love it. Very full and complete sound.
@@LavaBound I should! The only [shit] I've been playing recently has been COD4 Blackout with my friends, also Uncharted collection which I got as a present. I love games with story, the rest is just numbing regardless of how challenging it is.
@@nenissaK Oh the story in this game is great! I remember when I first played the game I genuinely got the feels at the ending. It starts of quite corny (it you dont mind that sort of thing) but the game itself has character development and a great story all while still getting quite difficult.
Its ONLY in this game once I reach this stage (and Sky Tower in PMD 1) The memories start to flow in your mind and you get that feeling that says "Lets finish this!". Its always one hell of a epic feeling.
Despite not owning the games (I'll get some soon I promise) this is beautiful. Sadly I sorta spoiled the plot of sky to myself, but I might still get it. I don't usually cry, heck I rarely cry, but this music, along with some of the events near the end of the game, just automatically triggers the emotions inside me, and I start crying. Nintendo really needs to make more pmd games because they're awesome. Not sure if it's just me but, if you have to build some sort of relationship with characters in a video game, with you specifically as the protagonist, I get really attached to them, they're sorta like imaginary friends but in a game. Aside from that, gorgeous, just gorgeous.
Good luck! The ending is so awesome, I hope you get there! (also, don't delete your progress after the "final fight" there's more storyline that comes afterwards!)
Thanks! I've gotten a lot of replies to that comment, but you're the only one who told me something actually useful. Honestly, if the story was good I would have bought it.
Oh my God. This game was just perfect all around and I'm so glad I own Explorers Of Sky! The story was amazingly dark for a Nintendo game but that's what made it so enjoyable! (I wish Arceus would have been included in the plot though since he is basically God and has the power to rewrite/alter the laws of the universe. Or even better as a plot twist: He only has as much power as the Pokemon who believe in him give him. But then that might be delving a bit too much into religion...) The music was the best! ( Not as great as the 3DS one was but that's about all the 3DS version had over this awesome game ) It was memorable. I loved the gameplay. You really had to strategize with this game and it had just enough challenging aspects to be difficult but not to the point where it was impossible. Overall I think Explorers Of Sky was the best instalment of the Mystery Dungeon series ever. It can't be topped.
BlizzardxThexWolf explorers of sky, final special episode he is implied though if ya think about it if he's god all the things that happened in the game could of...sort of....been avoided.....well it's just another plothole the game has, but I can deal with them cause I still really like mystery dungeon series

TheKpa11 If you think about it, Arceus only intervenes once despite the three world-destroying disasters that threatened to occur, two of which actually happened in the original timeline (the planet's paralysis, Darkrai's space/nightmare thing, and the world retconning itself out of existence), the only thing Arceus undid was the actual destruction of the world. Essentially, since the events of the game (outside of the end of In The Future of Darkness) were small-scale enough that maybe fifty Pokémon working together could prevent them, Arceus didn't need to get involved.Yes, they were apocalyptic events, but the Passages of Time exist and are likely indestructible; therefore, nothing bar the complete destruction of the world, as seen in SE5, is irreversible by the actions of normal beings and MAYBE a few minor Legendaries, at the highest scale. Arceus doesn't need to disrupt the way the world works unless the world is literally destroyed (or, technically, all life is eliminated), so it doesn't. There: plot hole plugged.
This is my favourite mystery dungeon game and for good reason, amazing music that even super mystery dungeon can't beat, and while super mystery dungeon is amazing aswell, the most amazing parts are the references to THIS game and gates to infinity, which gates to infinity disappointed me, it's probably the worst mystery dungeon, but super mystery dungeon made up for that, but explorers of darkness, time, and sky, will always be the best in my heart.
in my opinion explorers of time/darkness/sky is the best of them, followed by super mystery dungeon. then team blue/red, and gates to infinity is far the worst of them.
I only played Explorers of Time so I don't know about Darkness and Sky, but this game is just so underrated, especially for the moment when you get to the Time Tower. I never thought I would have liked this spin-off so much.
A cave story roguelike fan game came out and played a very familiar tune using cave story's soundfont... I realized it was this song and now Im here haha.
Something I think is rather interesting about this song is how it seems to be building up to a dramatic, dynamic section of the song like Dialga’s Fight to the Finish does, but unlike that song, this one never really gets there. It’s restrained and almost circular in its rhythm, almost like the loop of time itself
*Ask the Noodle Dragon to look up, end fading cuz Your Pokémon Free Trial is over* Vs *Restore The Time in the Universe saving Present and Future and for Save it, sacrifice yourself for this purpose no Matter what* One of the Best NDS Games ever made for Storyline.
I remember playing this game like it was yesterday. I was a ten year old when I got my hands on it, and I remember getting Totodile (My 2nd favorite starter) and getting Treecko (My 1st favorite) as my companion. I kept Water Gun for SO LONG because I had buffed it up and it had so much PP (Though in all honesty it still kicked ass). If there's anything PMDEOS does right (Which is a lot of things), it's giving the player an awesome first impression and running with it.
In my experience, it's a good idea to keep a weaker, high-PP move around for the entire game. Even without ginseng boosts, it stays relevant. PMD move power scaling is really interesting; more powerful moves tend to be less accurate, have less PP, and seem to crit more often. They're great for boss battles, but Ember or Tackle will get you through a dungeon.
Pokémon mystery dungeon kicked my ass..... as in when I first bought it I wasn't expecting much and was sure itd be an ok game. But when I I got through the opening, holy crap was I in for it!!!! the music, the battle style, the story was all amazing and I spend days and days playing it. I bought mystery dungeon explorers of darkness. Best game I have ever played and I am now a huge fan ever since.
This music brought a lot of emotion to it and it fit the vibe of that moment and time. I love this game very much. I hope PSMD will turn out awesome like this one.
I just realised that Dialga's Fight to the Finish is woven into this song. Starting from around 1:00 you can hear the theme as part of the theme! Beautiful
It took me a long while to get through all these floors. Plus, on my first try I realize with how many levels there were, I wasn't ready. I had to go a do a whole lot of missions to level up so that even Dialga wouldn't stand a chance. Also I had to stock up on a lot of those Revival seeds
The music for the temporal tower is just so gooooooood. It has this kinda happy tune, but in the background you can just hear the impending doom from the bells which tolls the end of all time, leading to a world where no wind blows, the sun never comes... a land covered in total darkness. The ruin of the World
I dunno if that was intentional but most of your comment was from dusknoir’s description of the future. At first, when I got to know Dusknoir, I kinda liked him and the opposite for Grovyle. Then when parting with Dusknoir he pulled a 180 and dragged me and my partner into the portal and I got so confused, then he was talking to Dialga. In that moment, I knew something was wrong. Then as playing through the future progressed I started liking Grovyle more and liking Dusknoir much less. I also gave Dusknoir and Grovyle voices while reading dialogue. I think I gave Dusknoir a low voice (maybe sounding somewhat british) but i dont remember what I made grovyle sound like but i do remember changing his voice when the future part of the game started. And I also gave the sableye imp/gremlin like voices cuz they emanate huge gremlin vibes.
@@abstractedaquaman3 Oh yeah. That was intentional. And for me, I liked Dusknoir throughout the entire game. Before the betrayal as an awesome side character. He was kind, nice, but didn't take away from the importance of the other characters despite how strong he was depicted as. Post betrayal, I loved him for how cunning he was. Planning in the background, trying to outmaneuver the heroes. And almost succeeds. Twice. He is a fantastic twist villain and his heel-face turn at the end of the special episode is an incredible moment to see, as you slowly saw that change along Grovyle. (As if the entirety of that special episode wasn't one glorious masterpiece.)
This song fits perfectly for climbing up a tremendous tower... It's just something about this song that fits climbing up a tower... This song is very nice~

+Carl they gave call of duty (bo3) a 9.2. Do i need to say more?
Segastar1 I know, right? I love this game with all my heart, with this being my number one Pokemon game ever!
Segastar1 Actually, Chunsoft developed it. And I whole heartedly agree with your statement.
Segastar1 I've readen that in the rythm of this music, sounds awesome too
And I obviously agree with you too ;)
Segastar1 I agree completely too but I still haven't played Sky yet so I don't know the differences between it and Darkness (the version I played). Someday, when I get the courage and skill to commentate over the dungeons, I'll LP this game.
Mooples
Sky has most of the same stuff as Darkness (story, setting, characters) but adds more things to do, more dungeons, special episodes, etc.
You just have to persevere; now is your final chance, and you can't blow it.
civlover97 And you disrespect all that by going back to treasure town and doing bulletin board missions.........like any great RPG 😁
And then you realize that you've only gotten through about a 3rd of the game, and the rest is just as good.
@@TheKpa11 but, you cant, the game doesnt let you go back if you reached this point

Wibbly Wobbly did u win?, or died and started from the beginning like me? :(
shadowlord mcgill Heck yeah I did dude! I think I died a few times but since I had my Reviver seeds I've been saving, I take down the monstrous beast and bawled my eyes out when I disappeared in front of my bestest buddy in the whole world.
shadowlord mcgill I got all this information from a crudely written journal entry I wrote for school. I was a nerd lol

One of the best parts of this game was probably that it provided such character that any player could immensely bond with them. Also the fact that a fictional game character had spoken such true and meaningful words before his death.
I've literally been listening to this for 4 hrs straight, and still not tired of those bells
I've been crying for the past 4 hours! Saddest ending ever
+TheUKNutter Yup.
The sound and mixing is perfect.
@@nenissaK I kinda want to remix this ngl...
I swear, the fucking Porygons and there discharge from across the room. The struggle was real if you had mudkip.
My partner was a Totodile and i didn't find it that difficult.
oh god i have a mud kip!
KingdomGamerZxo9 i only got hit by discharge once and survived and no monster houses as well lol
Imagine if it worked the same with Temporal Tower for the first several floors
Outside the tower, no music plays.
Everything else remains the same
5F - The organ fixes itself and completes the phrases as they should be.
Dude that'd be awesome :O
I agree, this is a outstanding idea and give a whole new look to the dungeons in explores of Sky

so a while back, i stumbled back onto this song while splurging on, of all things, *doom mods*. my first time hearing it was playing PMD Explorers like most other players, but when Ozonia threw this into the WAD as a part of one of the penultimate levels in a heavenly skyscape...
i had to take a moment the level finished loading. i wasn't playing Guncaster (the gameplay mod), nor was i playing Ozonia (the WAD) anymore, for a moment, i was taken back to Temporal Tower and i just felt home. never have i felt more cozy ripping and tearing through the hordes of hell as i felt my old partner watch once more. i miss having shinx as my partner again. the Riolu-Shinx duo is what got me through Sky.
After almost 10 years, this music still gives me goosebumps. The game's story, their soundtrack, the pixely move animations were all so disgustingly good. 10/10, a true masterpiece.
I PRAY that we get a remake of this fantastic game.

Humble Ham I kinda like that they got rid of hunger, apples took up precious space.
Omega Zero Alpha to each their own, I personally liked the mechanic but I can understand why others wouldn't
I could give a fuck about the controls .
I loved this games story so much
This song really signals "the journey's end" or "the last obstacle".
I never had a 3DS to play this but I can tell just by the music that this game was freaking legendary...
My treeko Partner HAS to evolve into Grovile and not into Sceptile he will stay Grovile
I picked treecko for that reason and that reason only. Grovyle says basically you will be my replacement, so No Sceptile

My own headcanon is that my partner Treecko becomes Grovyle.
Same reason I chose Treecko. But also I hate Sceptile...
This and Sky Tower....best MD themes ever!
I still can't believe I finished this game when I was a kid with little to no english knowledge (Viva México cabrones), and what's even more incredible, is the fact that I bawled my eyes out with the ending. If a game can achieve such feelings on someone even with limitations like mine, it's a good game.
2nd favorite song from this game. This game has the best songs and story I've ever seen and heard.
I swear, this piece altered my brain chemistry when I was a kid
This song is brilliantly made. It just fills you with a feeling of "This is it". The last songs of the game stands out among any other music for me.
This song just echoes the sentiment that you are in torn world, struggling to survive. The lighter chime-like sounds and notes kind of forewarn of a light at the end of the dark tunnel, however.
Beginning of entry into the *Temporal Tower* to save the world. This dungeon scared me the first time. I have precious memories of this moment!
When I was in grade four, I had this stuck in my head and started singing the tune, my friend joined in and we were majestic.

I for one think this is one of the best games you can play. It brings you up close into Pokemon and has an awesome story to it that goes beyond the game itself. I'm really happy that I own this game.
I also forgot in depth character analysis I cried at some parts!
In this tower, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM! Especially as Porygons use Discharge!
If they ever do a remake of this, It’s gonna be hard to get through this dungeon with tears in my eyes.
Mystery Dungeon DX gives me hope for a remastered version of this masterpiece.

You hear this play and be like "Oh shit, the pokemans just got real."
I've never played this game but this is one of my all-time favourite video game songs. Extraordinary attention to detail and balance between different instruments without anything extra or redundant, just pure expression with the perfect sounds and mix. I love it. Very full and complete sound.

Its ONLY in this game once I reach this stage (and Sky Tower in PMD 1) The memories start to flow in your mind and you get that feeling that says "Lets finish this!".
Its always one hell of a epic feeling.
Pmd had some bangers ngl, temporal tower is just one of many that hype up the upcoming

Getting a little bit nostalgic with this... huh.
This is my favorite dungeon for the sole reason of this song, I adore thissss
Will never not think fondly of this absolute master piece of a game
Good luck! The ending is so awesome, I hope you get there! (also, don't delete your progress after the "final fight" there's more storyline that comes afterwards!)
PMD: Explorers Of Sky/Darkness/Time is the best game, with the best story and the best music in all history. And that's a fact.
it is indeed. super mystery dungeon is great as well, but not as good as explorers of time/darkness/sky.
@@yolotron4991 Yep yep.
But then that might be delving a bit too much into religion...)
The music was the best!
Actually, Arceus IS in the game, he's in Destiny Tower :)
No he's not. That's only a statue of Arceus that appears in the Destiny Tower.

Something I think is rather interesting about this song is how it seems to be building up to a dramatic, dynamic section of the song like Dialga’s Fight to the Finish does, but unlike that song, this one never really gets there. I LOVE THIS GAME SO FREAKING MUCH AHHH 💜
Last dungeon together... I played through this game 3 times, why the hell did it take me this long to realize how awesome this music was?! xD
Please Nintendo, for Charmander’s sake....for Dialga’s sake, please remake EoS on the Switch!
With more extra episodes on team Skull in the aftermath, what happened to Darkrai, Chatot and Wigglytuff, yourself before you became a pokemon, etc.
Beautiful
not just that one, the beat is similar to The Planet's Paralysis too. a lot of themes are colliding near the climax.. its really well done
@@Odinfrost Yeah i just played through all of special episode 5 and i loved it
This game no matter what is one of my favorite games ever and the soundtrack
This song fits perfectly for climbing up a tremendous tower... It's just something about this song that fits climbing up a tower... This song is very nice~
*I have played Spec Ops the Line, the Entire series of the Walking Dead Game, The Last of Us, and love the Resident Evil Series.*
*But never a game impacted me so much emotionally has this one.*
*Storyline 9/10*
*Soundtrack 10/10*
bruh, I know right. PMD2 is one of the only 2 games that have legitimately made me want to cry, the other being Celeste.
BEST MUSIC EVER! I love this music more than the rest in this game! It brings back awesome memories...
Someone called Snivy Leaf once wrote and posted lyrics to this song (and I can't find their comment anymore) here are the lyrics they wrote:
0:10
We will fight a monster.
One that is named Dialga.
And we will try to win this war.
0:26
Running out of time!
Running away now!
Running away from all our doubt~
Repeat~
1:02
We will never give up,
Never ever,
(Never give up!)
(Never ever give up!)
1:10
We will never forget,
Don't forget him!
(Grovile, our friend!)
(Never forget our friend!)
1:20
Running out of time~
Running away now~
Running away from all our doubt~
Repeat~
1:37
We will run freely! My friend lets go!
Finish our journey, just you and me! (You and me!)
Just us against Dialga! Let's gooooo!
1:51
Running out of time!
Running away now!
Running away from all our doubt!
Repeat~
2:27
The world might end! (If we fail)
Everyone might die! (If we fail to succeed)
If I'm with you, I can't be scared! (But...)
2:42
Running out of time!
Running away now!
Running away from all our doubt!
Repeat~
3:00
Run away,
Run away,
Run away with me!
I need you,
I need you,
I need you with me!
3:17
We will never give up,
Never ever!
(Never give up!)
(Never ever give up!)
3:26
We will never forget,
Don't forget him!
(Grovile our friend!)
(Never forget our friend!)
3:36
Running out of time?
Running away now?
Running away from all our doubt?
Repeat~
3:52
Never forget! Never look back! (Never!)
Never think now! Just attack! (But please don't hurt me!)
Its time that we move quicker! (Save this world.)
4:06
Running out of time...
Running away now...
Running away from all our doubt...
Why do we do it?
4:15
We will not turn back!
We will face our fears!
Even with our doubt...
I trust us...
4:25
It's not how long you live your life...
--
It's not how long...
4:35
It's what you do in life...
--
It's what you do...
4:40
Oh~
(Keep going until the song ends.)
