One thing I missed in this video is the rate of fire is slower when fully aiming down sight or aiming in Tac Stance at ~97RPM. The rate of fire stated in the video applies when you aren't aiming in.

Might as well abuse it before the inevitable nerf it's getting in 2 weeks with Season 3. I missed out on the Longbow mostly due to work and not being interested in sniping (Lockwood 680 gang). With this build, I'm going to abuse the hell out of it since I'm almost done with my battle pass and I only need 20+ levels to get 450. Could care less about broken snipers/marksman rifles, since I use the 680 if I'm having a bad time or can't use any other weapon because sniper's are fucking broken in MW3 and dominant in every almost every lobby.
The longbow has better damage and one shot potential but yeah pretty much lol. I'd say this one takes a bit more skill tho cus you have to be more accurate to one shot.

I'm getting a lot of hitmarkers with this, I still prefer the Longbow so far, but maybe I'll change my mind... Ive only played 4-5 games with this. But I can see why it might become a problem... insane fire rate, great movement speed, etc.
This was one shotting to upper chest to the furthest dummy in the firing range with barrel and high grain rounds. Now its a 2 shot even with all that to the nearest dummy. Nerfed to useless 😂

I'm all for cursed guns, but balanced cursed guns. Not changing the aim assist is a bridge too far. Apparently this kit also has delayed idle sway and will snap to center when ADS, also unlike the other snipers. On paper, that could make it very broken on M&K, let alone with aim assist on a controller.
They really did the MW2022 marksmen rifles dirty this game, the "MK2 carbine, SAB-50, and SPR" were 1 shot weapons. As a sniper main it was always nice being able to change it up with similar playing guns but the 1 shot and ranges of MW2023 really killed them as a viable option. I've been running the longbow and it fills the marksman position but always with a sniper scope. Try the BAS built like a proper sniper for quickscopeing. Might be a good overkill option for CQC so I can still snipe up close against shottys.

I'm thinking that one big thing that'd make up for the over all speed and power would be a reduced fire rate. Yeah it's a lever action over bolt, but for the power it holds, both the longbow and now the outlaw kit, they're insanely fast for their killing potential. And I think ADS speed and hipfire needs to be more in line with marksman rifles at minimum. I'd prefer to see this akin to the Lockwood in MW2 rather than filling that SAB-80 niche that no gun needs to be back in to fill. As it is the longbow is nearly SAB-80 adjacent with or without the tyrant kit. Looking at things on paper. Haven't played yet today but feel like my moshpit experience is going to be... Something...
The AOK 4.0X RQ-9 Recon (the 4x acog with no scope glint) reticle is actually lower than it should be. I was playing around and noticed when I had a laser on my gun and this scope that the laser was above the middle of my scope, and when I tried it in the gun range I noticed at the 50m mark if you put the reticle on the dummy’s head the lazer can be above the dummy’s head and you will miss, even tho the reticle is dead center on its head. It’s not a crazy issue but just something I noticed
I wouldn't nerf this so much as rework it. Change aim assist to bog standard sniper rifle style, increase the idle sway, lengthen ADS time, limit mag size to 10 max, and slow the fire rate to less than the MK2. Treat it more like a high power DMR than anything else.
Should definitely be atleast a two shot at close range given how fast it is. I like the idea of a fast lever action gun that you kind of have to spam like it’s a semi auto rifle. Not as a one shot weapon though, unless it’s headshots.

The longbow can get higher ROF with the JAK kit if you have a setup saved with the faster rechamber bolt & jak kit combined, just like the MTZ 762 bug with the 40 mag.
Fun fact, you are wrong. The JAK kit for the longbow slows down the fire rate enormously and even without the fast bolt it's just as slow as the normal longbow.

I found a glitch where removing the conversion kit while the sawed-off stalk was attached would cause the gun to kinda fuse the lever-action and rifle forms together. There's more to it than just removing the kit, but I don't actually know more because once I started trying to figure out what caused, it it stopped appearing. I am extremely annoyed because it was really cool.
Hyperspecifics for anyone interested: The lever-action body would remain. The stock on the lever action would be replaced by the stock from the bas-b. The Bas-b grip would also appear, but not the normal trigger. Taking the gun into the practice range, your character would hold it like they would with the kit, but the gun would fire full auto. When reloading from empty your character would crank the lever to load the first round.

Personally, I'd rather something catch a buff than potentially need a HEAVY nerf that will likely drive it into the ground. I stated in a personal comment that an ideal set of alterations would be to make it a 150HP version of the lockwood lever action. Bring the hipfire to Marksman rifle levels, slow down the fire rate and not make the ADS so freakishly fast. That said, I still think that the Longbow needs some work too. We don't need a repeat of the SA-whatever the hell it was from MW2. I swear, IW was trolling most of the community with that thing, never nerfing, only buffing for some insane reason.
Not just the rate either. In hipfire it seems to be full auto. There isn't even an animation to actuate the lever. You just hold down the trigger and it goes.
I don’t really get why they keep adding better and better one-shot kill weapons… at this point using anything but a OSK weapon, you’re playing at a severe disadvantage. There’s no longer actual gunplay, just “how fast can you react.”

Personally, I'd rather something catch a buff than potentially need a HEAVY nerf that will likely drive it into the ground. I stated in a personal comment that an ideal set of alterations would be to make it a 150HP version of the lockwood lever action. Bring the hipfire to Marksman rifle levels, slow down the fire rate and not make the ADS so freakishly fast. That said, I still think that the Longbow needs some work too. We don't need a repeat of the SA-whatever the hell it was from MW2. I swear, IW was trolling most of the community with that thing, never nerfing, only buffing for some insane reason.

Not just the rate either. In hipfire it seems to be full auto. There isn't even an animation to actuate the lever. You just hold down the trigger and it goes.
So they made longer ttk but gameplay is filled with insta kill weapons?

I think it’s fine. Small maps are chaos anyways why balance based on a bad playlist experience
I don’t really get why they keep adding better and better one-shot kill weapons… at this point using anything but a OSK weapon, you’re playing at a severe disadvantage. There’s no longer actual gunplay, just “how fast can you react.”
