- Season 4 of Modern Warfare III brought us the JAK Harbinger kit for the M4 and today, I wanted to dive deep into the stats of this 50 caliber conversion and share a couple of my favorite attachment setups to use with it. What are your thoughts on the JAK Harbinger in MWIII?

UPDATE: When I first tested this last week, I wasn't seeing any boosted damage in Semi-Auto but after seeing a bunch of comments about this, I re-tested and you do get more damage in Semi-Auto mode. I'm not sure if I made a mistake in testing or if this is something they changed behind the scenes since last week. In Semi-Auto, this can one shot to the head up close and it appears to have an infinite 2 shot kill potential to the body.
Well, that sounds disgustingly overpowered…

FTAC Recon kills with 3 shots at close range and not 2 like this kit, but the new kit is very comparable to TAQ-M (and without having 1 HS kill)
FTAC recon is still pretty damn good, much more forgiving and consistent.
@@djabouty47 I'm currently using it in automatic mode and it's impressive that with the right class it's possible to take advantage of its "very quick" TTK (as quicklly as the Man-o-War, but this game has 50 more health points than BO3)
@@djabouty47that's why I like the kit and the ftac recon existing together because if you want something more forgiving you use the recon if you want something rewarding and high skill you use the conversion kit.

Having a lot of fun with this, the firing sound is probably the best in the game.

I personally think this weapon should have a 1 shot headshot potential in its effective range. Its rate of fire is similar to the 2 shot Marksman Rifles that also one shot to the head, and you have access to more attachments.
Edit: Plus it’s a .50 cal, it’s odd that it can’t even one shot to the head even if it’s balanced for gameplay. But a 1 shot headshot wouldn’t even be that OP on the gun imo

and for the most part this kit has worse stats than marksman rifles with the same role

The weirdest part is that it actually has a battle rifle damage profile with the semi-auto doing more damage than the full auto though the only way to see this is by plating up the dummies in the firing range. Full auto takes 4 shots while semi auto takes 3

it's more like a far more punishing oden with much worse build variety. I would struggle to call it an oden at all, the only real similarity is the slow fire rate high damage with good ttk potential, but the oden was nowhere near as punishing
You said it had bad barrels because it is a mw2 gun. But this kit has access to 2 unique barrels. One of which helps substancially with recoil. And doesnt hurt ads as much as most other barrels.

It’s fun to use, definitely not the best, but I like a challenge. The sound of the gun is pretty epic too! It’s pretty inconsistent but I’ve had a few scenarios where I pulled off a quad feed without reloading, very satisfying.

Overall, I find it pretty fun to use, but I think I'll stick with the TAQ-M for a guaranteed one-shot kill to the head to like 50-60m
TAQ-M is GOATED
SCAR derivatives are my favorite guns. Especially the SCAR H (aka Taq V) and the HAMR (Taq Eradicator)

I was actually interested in this amp cause i wanted to see if i could shotgun it with recoil control attachments but sadly Xdefiant has taken my interest of cod for the foreseeable future. Im glad it came out and not op but not caring enough to get in game to get it. Thanks Ace.
FINALLY!!
JAK ETTIN kit on the AMR now skews the vertical pattern while in Tac Stance to match the orientation of the gun. Nothing important. Just something I noticed if anyone else is interested in that. I think it might be true for the AMP on the Holger as well.
Despite it's somewhat dissapointing inability to one shot, I think the kit is really fun especially due to the high risk high reward factor of it. I tried it out myself after initially unlocking it and it's honestly become one of my favorite ARs in the game due to feeling different from all the other ARs and honestly battle rifles aswell.
Also that firing sound of the gun is absolutely wonderful. I am very pleasantly surprised by how this kit ended up preforming. Also final bonus fun fact about it: the giant ass muzzle attachment it has on it is actually almost the exact same as the one the KATT AMR uses when you don't have any equipped to it.
m4 kit is insane in zombies, i noticed its not the best in stats but its by far the most consistent gun I've played in tier 3, its the opposite of the current fast shooting handgun/smg meta but it has no struggles shredding down a tier 3 horde and also it shreeddddsss mega's. Very interesting gun and earned a top 3 zombies regular gun spot in my heart already. (it shoots much faster in semi auto when punched btw)

One. It is brokenly good at simi auto.
Its fire rate is different simi auto. I can easily spam it and get it to almost burst fire.
I would like to point out that the harbinger kit seems to have the damage profile of a battle rifle and that the maximum damage value shown in the stats screen is actually for the semi-auto mode
in semi auto at min dmg range its also a 2 shot

Fire rate and feel is so similar to the auto snipers (SCAR-20, G3) from CSGO. Same TTK as well which is funnier, feels so cheesy but so satisfying to use
Hey Ace did you check the barrels on this gun? They have much better stats than the normal m4 with the long barrel having a nice boost to BV and recoil with a moderate ADS penalty for MWIII guns
Was it because you can’t feasibly negate the ADS penalty without using lasers or hurting other stats? Because it does feel like that for the long barrel because how bad MWII stocks are

I'm a M&K player, my aim is okay... so I can usually make the 1-2 shots (less than half 3)
One thing ace forget to mention put this on semi boost your damage like other battle rifle it make you can 2 shot at max dmg range

So you know what I was thinking. It seems like last season in this season they're starting to add advanced warfare weapons. You know the bal, Mors, amr9. And it seems they did it again with the AK conversion kit. Literally turns it into the rip with the 762 and the hair trigger with the 545. Now what they should do is add an hb3 Insanity variant for the tac 56
Been grinding to get the kit. I feel like the 6.8 Marksman you still get the two shot killed potential, better movement and if you don't use the conversion and just tap finger the shots you can shoot pretty quick? Am I wrong about this
Imo, this gun is one of the best conversion kits of all time.
Does turning it into semi auto increase damage at range? It seems to affect the firerate (slows it down slightly) but from use it feels like a much more consistent 2 shot kill.
Semi is viable with this kit, you can get 2 shot kills even in the minimum dmg range
Doesn't change the STK.
Would have liked to see what the "full control" build would have done to the recoil. Yeah sure it ruins the handling but not everyone is a run and gunner

Hey Ace, sorry to bother but I just post a comment on your XDefiant assault rifle video, I think there's a mistake that hasn't been corrected unless I'm missing something. Love your work between the 2 games right now though!
I edit my comment on that video as I found the mistake if you wanted to pin it or copy and paste or just make a note for anyone who tries to make builds before leveling the weapon

You can "reduce the ROF" by switching to semi auto and toggling your Manual Fire Behavior to HOLD
This completely unrelated to the video but I have gotten comms banned for the 5th time and I have only talked to my friends in game due to us being on different platforms do you have any recommendations for communication. I have a feeling the strike was from zombies when I called a mega abomination fat
Unless I missed it you didn't mention the barrel attachments. I know there is a bug preventing the stats from showing but I was curious if your testing found any use for them at all.
MWII barrels are almost always just going to make your gun worse
@@TheXclusiveAceThere are two barrels specifically for the kit that completely replace the base M4's, and I was able to see advanced stats for them at times, but not consistently, so they might be glitched.

Maybe eventually. It'll take me a very long time to max out attachments on all of the guns
I just started playing after about a month. What is that DNA type icon that drops when you kill the enemy? Does that actually do anything?

How viable is single fire/ semi auto on this weapon? Any better?
I dont think he mentioned this, but the JAK Harbinger Kit is also treated like a battle rifle, in the sense that it does more damage in semi-auto than it does in full-auto. Unfortunately, its not like the Sidewinder where you can literally fire quicker in semi than full.
The damage didn’t change at all in semi auto based on my tests last week
@TheXclusiveAce Really? In the firing range, it kills the farthest target in full auto in 3 shots, but 2 in semi. Maybe a firing range glitch? Or maybe you didnt test full vs semi at range?
I just retested and you do get boosted damage in Semi-Auto. I'm not sure how I initially saw no damage change. I either made a mistake in testing or they adjusted this behind the scenes since last week when I tested this.

@@raptonsoul2557 Yeah just staying behind cover and taking longer range fights. The recoil with the build I made is pretty manageable alongside it's ads being decent as well. I think it's fine in its current state. Although I fear they might buff it again and take it too far

@@MrKing-he3eo meh, not in semi auto imo, how it's supposed to be used. You can use it but it's definitely in the lower tiers, though still above the G3.
@@DevlVergil Nah if you have a trigger finger its good. Ttk backs it up too. If anything its more forgiving than full auto based on recoil and consistency alone
@@DevlVergil in semi auto it's pretty accurate and has decent damage as long as you can shoot it fast, and full auto has an excellent ttk with that 3 shot kill

No
No, the damage is the same, but I prefer it in semi auto. I find it easier to control the recoil. I also use the long barrel on it. It slows the gun down so you gotta be more careful, and maybe just have a secondary that your comfortable with to get around the map easier.

I can’t use tracer rounds from my old M4 on this and it’s sad. I thought it worked
Anything that changes the ammo type/caliber will get rid of your tracers.

Its worse in any case. Use the kvd u have 1 shot headsot and 2 shot else and u can put silencer on
The KVD enforcer feels like a significantly better gun all around so I ended up being disappointed with this M4 aftermarket part.

Im glad they arent making the conversions op, but limiting attatchments with every gun makes the guns lack luster and not worth using most of the time
I love the sound design of the gun, but the giant comical .50 muzzle break and general gunfeel make it seem really bad to me

Thought it was gonna be like a BAR but its actually pretty bad like ace said you miss 1 bullet its just not worth running with the terrible mobility
I just don't see the point in using it over the 2 shot marksman rifles. TTK is basically the same as the TAQ-M and KVD Enforcer. They also kill in 2 shots, but have way less recoil, more attachment options, and you can use a suppressor. The M4 kit may be "Full-auto" but the ROF is basically the same as the semi-auto marksman rifles, but with way more recoil.
It has a more forgiving fire rate than them and is more consistent to the body than the enforcer.
@@MrKing-he3eo Not really at all. It's only 5 RPM faster than the TAQ-M, but lacks the 1 shot headshot ability of those guns. It's much easier to land follow up shots with the marksman rifles because they don't have the insane recoil of the Harbinger kit. Also way faster ADS and movement speed by default.

@MrKing-he3eo No no. They are very consistent, and the lower recoil makes it easy to land your shots. Plus, it has a 1 shot to the head which will always outgun the m4 kit.
If you can aim. Then you can aim with both guns. But one is clearly superior in every way so you are almost guaranteed to lose to a one shot weapon than the m4 kit.
@@oscarfunez3806 You can get 3 shot kills with the marksman rifles if you aren't hitting upper torso which is possible even with good aim. The M4 kit doesn't have that issue.

There's no boosted damage in Semi Auto with this gun based on my testing. It'll be a 3 shot to the body in semi-auto mode beyond 45.7m, just like in full auto

So this is basically a marksman rifle version of the M4. Pretty cool but not my type
I wish mw2 attachments didn’t suck so bad. The m4 and other iconic guns like the ak are locked from the meta because of terrible mw2 balance

The stats comparisons in this video are a bit misleading. This gun needs to be compared to DMRs, not ARs.
This makes the ftac recon irrelevant. Especially because this gets more consistent 2sk
FTAC recon has a much more consistent TTK and is more forgiving.

The average is about 4-6 up close for most full autos. This is an outlier, not an average gun.

The Challenges for this is garbage for multi only
I get that they don't want MW2 weapons to be as good as MW3 weapons but MW2 attachments seriously need an overhaul, they're not worth using AT ALL.
Please make class set ups for Xdefiant, mw3 not relevant atm.

Why do I get placed on a started match EVERY SINGLE TIME? I can stop playing for a week and the moment I get on a match it's in the middle of losing at best, sometimes I just get on to see the final kill cam, wtf? I get that if I leave a match I may get punished, but why do I get punished for ending a game, "leaving the lobby" which is empty because of the disbanding lobbies, and trying to start a new one, sometimes I wanna take my time to change a class or something and still I'm being placed on started matches. This game is TRASH
If you could use feet instead of meters. Easier for those that don't use metric and keeps from having to convert meters to feet. Thanks

Definitely not, it's already got an insanely competitive TTK, if you land those 2 shots, it's a skillful option, low fire rate but high TTK

It's not crap, the TTK is good, you just need to hit your shots. A gun is bad because it actually requires some skill to use? You're tweaking.
Before I even begin watching based off personal experience it is straight useless the recoil and gun kick just too much no matter how you build it.
Not to mention its a all around nerf to the M4.
It shoots even slower in semi auto even when spamming the trigger.
