About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

That segment was so well-written. Consider this: they allotted just under 4 minutes for the in-store segment. Writers sitting at the table had to come up with the jokes/bits, determine which were good enough to use, sequence them, put characters to them, refine the lines and go with it - while retaining flow and humor. In the end, you get "I knew women looked like that", the woman confusing them for a gay couple, with Al's joke, Al trying to figure out Peggy's size, with a girl coming past who eventually says "I'm sorry sir, I'm going to have to take them away now"; the sales lady who tells Al he's a lucky man so he can deliver the "If only they came a-la carte" line, and then the queen joke leading up to the ultimate punchline. Then there's a shop that had to be set up for it, all those extras, etc., it is really something quite remarkable for four minutes - but it is a SOLID four minutes of comedy.
Thats so right, thats the kind of details one must admire while appreciating quality content

How long you think the SJWs would let that last for? It would be cancelled immediately, and then some rainbow hobbit would make a stunning and brave speech about it.
You would get fired and you would never work again. See what happened to Rosanne Barr. She made a racist comment. I don't agree with her but maybe she doesn't like black people. She has a right to her opinion.
@@louistournas120 her comment wasn't even a quarter as racist as what leftist say about conservative minorities and she was fired.
The former vice president Joe potato biden said worse while he was "campaigning" and the left "elected" him, so ask yourself again, was she fired for a racist comment or because she wasn't a leftist footsoldier.
@@Tinmann_77 It depends on what is considered racism. If it is discrimination when it comes to hiring, allowing your kids to play with them or not, educational rights, apartheid (how is that written?) .
If you want to call someone ugly and use their skin color as a reason, that is another thing. It is a weak form of racism.
For example:
If I made fun of someone for having blond hair or if I don't hire blonds. In one case, I am making fun of someone and in the other, it is business related.
Mostly, I wanted to talk about cancel culture. Some people are losing their jobs and becoming blackballed for one silly comment they make. One guy went from having a 6 figure income to barely surviving and jobless.
@@louistournas120 racism is prejudice against or discriminating against someone for the color of their skin.
Yes, thinking people are ugly based on their skin color is a soft form of racism. Job, education, access to banking, access to stores, access to property ownership, access to voting, these are the places where racism affects people the most, and it happens world wide.
And its usually people who push policies like communism, socialism, Marxism, fascism, corporatism, that divide people by skin color and judge one to be more worthy than another.
Cancel culture is getting people fired or kicked out of a school because they don't share the same opinions as you.
I used to dislike cancel culture because I am educated enough that I can defend my beliefs if someone whats to debate so I see no need to cancel them, id rather they expose their idiocy. But we've traveled too far down the slippery slope. To continue to allow the insane indoctrinated children to control the narrative is to doom everyone, the only way out is to fight through, to shame and discredit everything about their ideals and never let their history be hidden, make sure that everyone everywhere knows their beliefs and do not let them participate in society at all.
If we had made sure that our schools not only taught how horrible socialism communism Marxism etc are, but showed them in graphic detail so they would be too horrified to ever try and change America to become that.... well we wouldn't be hanging off the cliff at the end of the slippery slope.
Instead we allowed communists, Marxists, socialists to become our teachers and indoctrinate our children into their death cult.
