Love all of these looks! I’m on a trouser / jeans mission this year! As it’s all too easy to buy tops but not enough variety of bottoms! I’ve made a start by finally breaking out of my comfort zone of skinny jeans and now have a pair of slightly cropped barrel leg jeans from
M & S. They have a good high waist and are comfortable which is good! Not ditching my skinnies though as wear them all the time for winter walks with boots over the top! Next on list are to find some straight leg jeans that I like and some more work trousers. Love your channel, thanks. 👍

Yes thats a great video idea! My bust is mahoosive (36HH) and its so hard to A get good fitting clothes and B look put together n not look like a whale x
💟 My body type is almost identical to yours, so when you spoke about the balance on that cream zip top with shoulder pads & cream pants, it certainly resinated with me! I used to be more hippy & stayed clear of light colored pants but since less hippy so I do wear the lighter tone bottoms! Thank you kindly!

I’ve just watched 5 of your videos. Since you asked for feedback on the styles of videos I am offering my feedback. Shopping in the stores has so much action without the diverse figures for comparison, plus the fit on you does not easily translate to a flattering fit on me. My vote is more videos to show what works and doesn’t work.
Thank you! You should like the video that is going live today then…I videoed what I wore in a week but then I changed each outfit slightly to reflect different body shapes. I also highlight bigger stomaches and how to disguise them x

Creating the same look on different body shapes is a great idea. I'm sure there are lots of people like me who need different sizes top and bottom to get a good fit.

The Jigsaw white coat appears to be quite small maybe for petite ladies Dunnes stores do a lovely cream coat with a little woollen sip up perfect for us endomorph body types.

I wonder who designs the lighting in fitting rooms? That type of lighting is so unflattering and common. Surely you want the customer to look their best when trying on clothes 🤷♀️😊. I find the same issue in hotel bathrooms, maybe being conscious of the lighting it’s an age thing for me!
Spot on, pardon the pun. They would sell WAY more clothes with flattering lighting. Lots of people don't return so they would still gain.

hi Melissa! I am a new to your channel and am enjoying it very much! While I love the clothes, mainly the blazers, from Zara but navigating and choosing sizes on that website is very confusing. I wear a size 12 blazer, do you recommend I get a medium or a large? Thanks for your help and your wonderful style videos! I am 5'2" and 62 years old.
Is that a Size 12 UK or size 12 USA? if you're a UK size 12 then i'd get a size Medium in an oversized style and a size large in a fitted style. Hope that helps?

It is me eternal struggle that my larger bust means I’ll buy something to fit the top but then it’s too large everywhere else :-( Even tops are an issue. So great idea for a video! Cant wait to have a breast reduction tbh when I’ve finished having children.
Confessing to laughing (in a good way) throughout this video as I have had most of these in my closet and still love these styles. The denim Charles's Angel jumpsuit with a colorful tube top underneath with an ample bust preventing the zip from closing was the style in the seventies. I wore the burgundy velvet side shoulder as a bridesmaid in 1980. The knit dress secured me a job in 1990, said my former employer who I am still in contact with in our retirement. Robbed the camel cashmere sweater from my mother. Loved this time for fashion.

Love that Reiss jumpsuit on you! I’ve been eyeing it up since it was released & it looks just as good on you as it does on the model in the photos 😁 Is the denim fabric stretchy else where (I know you said it’s pretty unforgiving around the waist)? Also how thick is it? I’m wondering if it might not be too hot for the summer. I’ve been trying to be good & not splurge but seeing how good this looks on you has seriously weakened my resolve 😂 I’m always looking forward to the release of your fab videos.
It’s really tight and quite restrictive on the top part but the legs have a lot of give in them. It would be too warm on a proper sunny day but great for spring and early summer. X

My question is always, what’s the fabric content? Hardly anyone on RUclips or Instagram ever tells you this and for me it’s VITAL information! If I’m spending a reasonable amount of money, I want as little man made fibre content as possible and it never fails to shock me what some people will pay for polyester, polyamide or acrylic! So could you please try to always tell us what the fabric is? xx
I’ve provide you with links to every item so please follow them and you’ll see for yourself. There’s too much going on when filming, managing the camera, lightening and talking about the styling to remember everything I’m afraid. Often the labels are at the back, the changing room lights are terrible and it’s hard to see. So not as easy as you may think but hopefully I’ve made it easy for you to do this part yourself x

I wish I could but I’m out with clients most days! I have started doing 2 full days of online styling so I can reach my clients internationally and in the uk but don’t live close by. Being honest, until you get really high subscribers and watchers RUclips doesn’t pay very well so being face to face with my clients is what pays the bills. As the channel grows I can bring you more and more so spread the word please!!!! Xx 😘

You look amazing in Reiss! I find some shops are better than others for my shape! Reiss and Boden for example are too fitted for my straight shape, whereas Zara works better for me. Love the idea on recreating the jumpsuit for different body types! Love your videos! Thank you x

I am curious whether there are any styling tip for blazers. I have never had one and not particularly excited about a still constricting fabric. I prefer stretching comfy fabric. I have seen blazers made out of that type of fabric. Would that be an option for someone who is a rectangle shape 5'7"?

So agree with your comments re the oversized blazer. I know these are presented as ‘classic items’ but I think they are such a current RUclips / insta look, they will definitely date! They also only suit certain body shapes and I agree not flattering on many. I can admire that look on others but know I look ridiculous and like I’m in fancy dress when I try it on myself.

I will try but that's very specific and finding models that are willing to put themselves out there is very difficult but i'm happy to dress anyone! panic has set in for me.. as years gone by before i had children i loved fashion.

Dear Melissa, your styling tips are very useful. However, it would be interesting to hear about your view on fast fashion, as a stylist, as so many fast fashion brands are promoted in your videos. I have completely changed my shopping habits since the last 5(-10) years or so, both buying less items but also trying to make better choices when I do buy something. If you already have a video on the topic, just forget the comment :-)
The whole premise of my style of styling is around building a capsule wardrobe relevant to your lifestyle which ultimately means timeless classic pieces that can be worn for much longer periods. The latest video going up at 12 noon today (London time) includes my favourite ethical and sustainable brand so in summary, I do care very much and that’s why I’m trying to influence people to make more considered purchases based on the body shape and lifestyle. We live in Southampton (so not a million miles from you ) however even though Southampton has a huge shopping centre they do not have Reiss, & Other Stories or Mango (to name a few). Of course but in all honesty you’re better shopping online for plus size as the uk stores don’t assign much floor space to the sector and those that do are quite young shops. I’ve just filmed with a uk size 22 lady so that video will link in all the shops I used. Start there and see how you get on x
