Thanks for this old chap. I was a Shaw Savill cadet at Poplar Tech in 1971 and well remember doing "the Doxford Dance" in the bar at various ports around the world. Not so easy after having consumed numerous glasses of "lubricant". Only saw an LB Doxford when on a ship visit in Auckland (I think...) but sailed many times with C.C.Pounder's H&W opposed piston engines.
The English people are really mad, but that we know for already a long time! 👍🏻❤️😂😂

A plate of baked beans apiece, a couple of lighters and they could simulate a Doxford scavenge fire.
Be better doing doxford economic.
