    Thanks for making this video. It's so cool to see how much someone could potentially make in their first year as a full time artist.

    I know there’s a lot of grouchy people out there over these types of videos but I’m here to drown them out and say I appreciate it so much! Hoping to start my own channel soon (you know, just gotta get started 🥲) and I already run my own shop (website/Etsy/wholesale/markets) so it’s encouraging to see the growth that’s possible. Thanks!

    Thank you for the transparency! I have the same kind of inconsistency with my income, I think it's a universal experience for anyone who's self-employed 😫I wouldn't trade it for the world tho haha

    Thanks for sharing everything you do! I love following along. How are you able to make this a full time business? I have been so burnt out with work lately that I have been thinking about going full time with my crochet and paint!

    • @bri.forcier
      @bri.forcier  Год назад

      It took a few years of doing odd jobs part time and slowly doing less and less part time work until I could pay my main bills with art. It's tough though, like I said in this video I'm not always making enough each month to be comfortable but hopefully over time it'll get better :)

    • @bri.forcier
      @bri.forcier  Год назад

      Yes, I took down all my Etsy listings around when I posted this video. Now I just have my shop announcement on there with my social media so they can find me elsewhere if they stumble upon my Etsy! :) so far I’m glad I stopped selling on there!

    Were would be a great first time to start making money as like a clay artist that can't sell on the internet?

    • @bri.forcier
      @bri.forcier  Год назад

      You should try selling at a small market! I've used Fairs and Festivals .net in the past to find places to sell at, but also just do some google and facebook events searching :) I don't do any that require a commission or a large fee :)

    it’s nice that you can be a full time ‘artist now; but I think that there are soooo many other artists that are doing much cooler things and they should be the ones putting their work out there. I admire your time commitment, but you should probably go back to your day job

    • @bri.forcier

      You should totally go for it!! I never would've been able to do this without all the markets I did last summer and into my first year! It helps you get more followers too by chatting w/ random ppl at the markets (other vendors or customers!) :) So even if you don't make many sales it's a great way to get genuine followers who are interested in what you post on IG and stuff
