I love the way Wilko expresses himself. Love the way how he looks at life, glad he made it through everything. I hope him and Lee made their peace with each other before Lee passed.Friendships are the most precious things you'll ever have in this life.
In all fairness it is a French TV programme. Why should they speak in anything but French ? By doing what he did, the presenter was catering for the native French and for the English viewers too, most of whom will not speak anything but English ! Good on the presenter - and for Wilko for coping with it !
THE SOUND THEY GET WITH ' GOING BACK HOME" GOT ME INTO BLUES HARP(WHICH I PLAY) .WILKO AND LEE GOT THE RIGHT SOUND .I WOULD LOVE TO DO A JAM WITH WILKO AND OBVIOUSLY THERE IS NOT MUCH TIME LEFT.IS THAT POSSIBLE?
@modeleagle nah they're sort of right, he's being very expressive in french for the benefit of the audience and wilko's obviously baffled by the little snippets of english he obviously doesn't care about as much
'Cashing in now'? Wilko had been touring for years when this interview was done. What are you talking about? He was entitled to leave the Feelgoods. They carried on, so did he. That happens all the time with creative people. They're entitled to do what feels right for them. He always had 'a pair'. Do you seriously expect people to keep something going just for your benefit? Legendary artist. Shame to marr this page with your ill-founded offensive comments
It was sad, if true, that Lee Brilleaux wanted to see him when he was dying but Wilko didn't go. Maybe he just thought too much had happened, too much time had passed. Sad, anyway.
Wilko is a highly intelligent man - and a one-off genius. He used to teach English Literature for goodness sake. Try interviewing Noel Gallagher, now he's IS thick.
Wilco,WTF did you leave feelgoods and effectively put a stop to the greatest creative partnership the 70s produced? Also, why are you shamelessly cashing in now? Wonder what Chris thinks! Still, I only saw you in Blockheads c 1980 and would have given a testical to have seen feelgoods when you were on stage. Shame you didn't grow a pair and come to some sort of compromise with rest of band , especially Lee ( RIP)

Unfortunately I don't think they did.
What a well grounded, humble and level headed guy. seems like the kind of guy you would enjoy having a pint with.

Is he? How exactly?
Noel Gallagher has more of an intellectual wit
Bon!
Jesus wept!!
That has to be the single worst interviewer EVER!!
Oh Wilko, you deserve better!
Didn't they ask him to leave the Feelgoods ? Still, no matter ... WJB was a total success. There's no point in felling sour about it.
