Daltrey seems like a warm, kind, bloke who wanted to help his friend. Daltrey has a sense of life and wicked gallows sense of humor. Wilko is lucky to have Daltrey and lucky to a surgeon fan who finally diagnosed him correctly.
Roger Daltrey is the nicest, most fundamentally decent person you could ever hope to meet or work with. I worked with him once when he was working as an actor and as it happened our location was a music shop. Between takes as we were setting up Roger picked up a guitar and entertained the younger actors with "The Kids Are Alright." They didn't know what they were listening to but I wept tears of joy.
Roger Daltrey always gives interesting, entertaining, animated interviews. They reflect a genuine, fascinating, multi-faceted character with bags of life experience, humanity and great sense of fun and humour who loves life and enriches ours.
Its a tremendous album. It has an incredible feel to it like Roger said and its not from the instruments or the sound board. It comes from the band members heart and soul. Every time I listen to it I think this is my favorite album of all time. It always moves me🔥❤️
Roger Daltrey is a good bloke. He has his head screwed on the right way, which cannot be said for many in the limelight who are in love with themselves in an age of people who are in love with themselves.
Daltrey was originally lead guitar in previous versions of the Who but opted for vocals. Many of their tracks have overdubbed acoustic guitar, you can certainly hear it on Pinball Wizard and Magic Bus
Their duo was the right side of a sort of super pairing...most never work but these two are just naturals...probably missed Towser old lead rhythm guitar 🎸 so it was fantastic he and Wilko together
I've been a Who and Roger Daltrey fan for years.., just listening to this interveiw tells me what I always suspected to be true.., Roger is a stand up guy... embarrassed to say, I'm late to the Wilko Johnson show.., had heard of Dr. Feelgood, was prompted to check them out on RUclips and was immediately blown away by the band, but especially Wilko...
Rogers a great down to earth guy, and hes a fellow fly fisherman and hes a supporter of BREXIT What more could we ask for long may roger enjoy his fishing and perform as frontman with his band the who. Who im a huge fan of ofcourse. iow festival this weekend i hope its recorded and we can get a copy wish i could go....... itll be superb.
Brexit will be the best thing thats happened to this country since we were stupid enough to get dragged into the EU farce. All we need is a Brexit minded prime minister who can negotiate our case with conviction.Don't get conned by project fear.
Crikey, it doesn’t get any better than Daltrey’s vocals on Who’s Next, which happens be in the running for greatest album of all time. Always appeared to be a decent chap who could take you out if you raised his dander.
& thee album of 2014 is undoubtedly thee best release of that year !! Absolutely . Ice On The Motorway is my favourite track if I had to pick just one - funny they speak of it haha ... I wish so much they'd do another !!!!!
British band legends both A calling from God to work with Wilko before passing. Reference to Mick Green who was asked to join Elvis Presley's band but Mick's manager never told him about the suggestion so Elvis never happened. See Mick in action in Jonny and the Pirates this playing style influences Wilko who could never copy Mick but developed his own wonderful style.
Certainly the most dedicated to his work as frontman, vocalist, and giving everything he’s got the minute he picks up a mic. Saw him last week perform Tommy with Nashville Symphony in blistering heat soaked in sweat and did it as if it were 65 degrees and energy to spare & plenty of it. Yeah in my book the most hard working and least pretentious. A working mans hero.
Positive vibes to Roger & Wilko & all alumni. But ... The Smith's "Hang the DJ" must have been written about this twat - who are we listening to pencil d**k? Kudos RD for just ploughing ahead with joy. 🍩

Here we are in 2022 and Wilko is still with us. God bless.
Roger’s voice has enough gravel in it now that he could sing blues til he’s 80. Great pairing. Great record.
Its a tremendous album. It has an incredible feel to it like Roger said and its not from the instruments or the sound board. It comes from the band members heart and soul. Every time I listen to it I think this is my favorite album of all time. It always moves me🔥❤️

Great to hear. Interviewers: please stop interrupting! let the person finish and then ask another question.
Top bloke,so down to earth!!
There are many functions in music and in the commercial sense it is about more than just music. Roger and Wilko are both great a what they do.
Great interview, it's always interesting to hear what goes on behind the scenes and how things shape up.

Daltrey was originally lead guitar in previous versions of the Who but opted for vocals. Many of their tracks have overdubbed acoustic guitar, you can certainly hear it on Pinball Wizard and Magic Bus
Never been that much interested in the Who and Roger Daltrey, but what a nice bloke. I have something to catch up.
Townshend Entwistle and Daltrey they were a machine The Who.

My first live gig was Dr Feelgood in 1978. After Wilko sadly, but they were still absolutely kick ass and brilliant.
liked your book very much Rodger thank you
'No, Jimi could do it if he wanted to, but Jimi was totally another thing', love that!

You look well Brexit mate. Bet you live in Scunthorpe.
Yeah? How’s brexit working out for you.
Man ,love Roger but supporter of Brexit...comes with the age i guess.good riddance

@@silverapples75 Roger can afford to be a supporter of Brexit.
What a treasure thank you Rodger
Terrific interview.
Just finished reading Rogers autobiography....which is a really good read....recommend it ..

Top bloke Roger. Still a down to earth working class bloke.
Happy birthday, Roger!

Mick Green was a great player, saw him many times.
Roger, not a mention of Lee Brilleaux’s influence?! Respect, Adrian
Roger mentions "Johnny Kid and the Pirates", ruclips.net/video/eI_svkmOCNs/видео.html what a super cool band! That "twangin" guitar is boss!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if Turned 21 was one that Roger didn't fancy, it's also my favourite track on the album.
British band legends both

8.32 ish Roger says ''poor fucker'',, excellent stuff..
Daltry is a unique human being and a gentleman to boot. One of the 20th centuries most talented artists.
I wonder what Pete Townsend thought of the LP?
Class..
Annoying interviewer but well said Roger
Nice to know what a sweet guy Roger is. 😂
Yo creci bailando su musica , y hoy en dia soy un baterista , mil gracias por influir en mi vida en la Argentina , mis saludos desde Atlanta , USA.
When I've got myself a brand new motor
And I'm dizzy , sick and stoned
And I'm going back home......
Just don't sound like you Roger !
Better than hearing Daltry talk about Brexit. VVanker!
Wilko and the interviewer here, Pete Mitchell, are both gone now
both lucky to be friends...both legends.....like how Roger ignores the dumbarse ref to Paul knobhead mccartney..good call.
❤️👍 ❤️👍 ❤️👍
Like him swinging that Mike use to scare me

timothy phillips without the slightest shadow of a doubt!
timothy, John Fogerty I'd say is his American doppelganger.
Must not have seen steve marriott
Hendrix did play rhythm and lead all the time
Thank you.
And Wilko couldn't play for shit. Must be non-guitarists who are raving about him.
@@AdaptivePhenix you what

That Dj needs to shut his trap and listen, he might learn a thing or two
👍👍👍
Who is interviewing? I wish he would shut up - always got to say something over Daltry! He should know the interviewer is not the star!!
That's how a conversation works
