3:01-4:07 Greatest guitar solo ever was my thought when I heard Ram It Down the first time and still it might be the best solo I've head. And you did very well. Great work!
When the two guitar hits in the solo and then they part ways! I jumped out of my seat and got goosebumps because I had NEVER HEARD ANYTHING SO BADASS IN MY LIFE! Long live metal!
Thanks a lot for the comment *bows*. This keeps me motivated for sure. As mentioned in my channel info I just do this for the fun of it. Actually I am happy with my job, not to forget that it's tough these days to make a living as a musician (unless you play in a bloody chart band that is =)). You keep on rocking, too!
Hi Jonas, thx for the input. It seems I got it correctly then (even if my source was some low quality video). During the solo section the guitar in the upper left corner is Glenn, while KK's guitar is the one on the main screen.
Thanks, well maybe one day I'll try that. Just don't want to overdo it with the priest covers. But I'll keep to post one every once in a while. I'm pretty sure Painkiller will be next. I've been promising a bunch of people for quite a while now.
Thanks - yes I use a Seymour Duncan Blackout in the Bridge Position and a SD Distortion in the Neck position. Good question about the FR. But the price difference between the non-FR one and the one with is not a whole lot. I use the tremolo quite often. But depends on you personal preference. If you play a lot of Metalcore stuff you probably won't need it.
I think i got an approximate version of the solo from 911 tabs or ultimateguitar but I had to rearrange it a little, especially the splitting between kk and glenn. But it was quite some time ago so I can' exactly remember. I think it was a guitar pro 4 tab.
thanks. if you were more specific it would be easier to answer but I think I know which sections you are referring to. I would say it's a mix of alternate picking and hammer-ons. Also in fast sections in some songs Tipton uses a technique where he basically slides along the fretboard and the same time alternate picks which in the end basically sounds like a smooth chromatic scale run. For speed in general I don't have any better tips than practicing. Check out e.g. Petrucci's Rock Discipline
wauw great. i was just wanted to ask you that question, because i see your a look alike your shirt here at the dutch EMP. i wanted yo buy it a long time but i was wondering whait is was looking like in real. and this is just a great great cover!
bravo!!!this song rocks, however i cant find a correct version of the tab.your cover just blow me away.i would like to see you cover the ONE SHOT AT GLORY.keep rockin~
There's an incomplete guitar pro tab to this song. I think it was on 911 tabs. But it is rather close to the original. The main problem with it was that the guitar parts glenn/kk were kind of messed up.
@Misrilou There's a lot video editing softs that can do that. Sony Vegas, Pinnacle but also cheaper editors. Just look around a bit. I think there should be editing softs capable of doing that in the 30-50$ range.
I would have loved to get the Jeff Loomis signature instead when I bought this. But I was having a hard time to find a supplier for it in europe. So I got this one in the end. I think the JL is a good choice though if you have the chance to get one.
By the way, absolutely amazing, inspirational to me.. Where is the tab to the solo that you worked with? I mean... I have a tab book and it seems like what you're doing doesn't match up at all... but sounds better than what the tab book says. Idk... if there was a link you could drop or something, that would be nice. =] Thanks.

supremefantastic legendary solo man.
✊✊
Guitar duals, technically 🤘🏻
Sattriani is guitar god? It"s posible, but Downing with Tipton are metal gods.
Tipton without Parkinsons would destroy Satch in two seconds.
When the two guitar hits in the solo and then they part ways! I jumped out of my seat and got goosebumps because I had NEVER HEARD ANYTHING SO BADASS IN MY LIFE! Long live metal!
Phenomenal cover! ..and priest never alternate picked their riffs so this dude stayed true to the priest sound, great job again!

Hi Roland, na auch mal wieder hier? Hoffe mal beim Bund läuft es einigermaßen gut. Ist bestimmt lustig im tiefsten Winter im Schlamm zu robben =).
There's an incomplete guitar pro tab to this song. I think it was on 911 tabs. But it is rather close to the original. The main problem with it was that the guitar parts glenn/kk were kind of messed up.
