I don't think any prices should go above 1000$ for Graphic card

I agree with the 4070ti price, but not with the 4090 price, that isn’t just a gaming GPU despite what people think, perfect for 4k 120 video editing, it’s amazing for AI acceleration, and comes with the capability of doing 8k @ 60fps, and almost triple the performance of the 4070ti in some cases. The correct price should be closer to 1500 tho not almost 2k

I believe with driver updates in few months rx 7800xt would perform similar to RTX 4070ti gradually..
It will gain some performance in new games just cuz it has 4gb of extra vram, but both gpus will have low FPS anyway its just that 7800xt will have less stutter and normal-loading of textures.

7800 xt doesn't have much room to improve drivers anymore. Those typically don't help THAT much...like 5-10% at most in certain popular games.

I bought the 4070 ti used on eBay for $685. Think I'll stick with purchasing used gpus seeing as buying new is overpriced. Hell, I think the price used was a bit much. But still, I'm happy with what I got

This pretty much comparable the situation gtx 1060 6gb vs rx 480/580 8GB. Sure ngreedia might get by with 12GB for now. But in future that 12GB Vram buffer (actually even now in some games with ultra and specially if they want to use that RT) will be worse option. Costs more and provides less in a long run.

@telquin6974 ive order an R7 7800x3D and getting 7800xt i think is nice combo to replaced my old intel/nvidia , i usualy play pc game on 1440p but AAA games are way better on 4K
@telquin6974 GPUs are not 1080p or 1440p or 4k lol. They run any resolution. Heck for a so called 720p APU the 5600g plays old games just fine like The witcher director's cut at ultra 1440p with 80 to 100fps @ 1440p lol. If you know how to use a GPU even something mid range like an Rx 6600 can play any brand new game @ 1440p or 4k with lowered settings or 1080p maxed out or near enough.
I thought about getting a 7900xtx that it is similar to the 4090 yet it doesn’t perform that close with the vram I think I’ll get a 4080 which will barely be a difference in fps to the 7900xtx in games I play

Just saw a 7900xtx losing to a 3080ti in Ratchet and Clank with Rt on, was 10% or so slower.
In my country with the average salary of $500 per month and minimum is $200 per month, 4070ti cost $1000, and 7800XT $604 .... so for you that live in the USA don't critics to much for your GPU price there...compare to the minimum salary there, it would be our 1 year salary for 1 month in USA🙂 (My country is Indonesia) please be grateful USA people hahah

The difference will be even more minimal at 4K. The RX 7800XT is future proof because of 16GB VRAM.
there's no point the 7800xt will beat it most of the time in AAA games because it will run out of vram. the playground 4k is really for cards that have 16gb or more.

Its same or slightly less on Amd. Amd reports total board power, not the actual die power consumption in this generation. even if a few watts are saved here and there it isnt worth the difference in energy bills.

Interestingly but on both setups Intel CPU has been used. I bet If Ryzen CPU was combined with 7800 XT for SAM, 7800 XT would reach and even beats 4070 TI on some titles. Conclusion, 7800 XT is much cheaper, can do great on light to medium RT settings. The only thing 4070 TI is better is on more heavy RT settings but with 12GB of VRAM I would doubt for newer and further games @1440p. I don't know for you guys but in my country the difference in price is about 270$.

1. I don’t need 16GB of VRAM for play, I use 1440p monitor and my games never use more than 10GB with RTX on ultra or plating on 4K
2. I prefer RT perfomance over AMD, 6800XT sucks on RT games when you turn it on.
3. RTX 4070 uses 170-200W while 6800XT uses about 230-250W and 7800XT 275W (and 4070 is still better)
4. I don’t care of pay some extra bucks for get Nvidia, I want RT perfomance, codec AV1, efficiency and a nice gaming experience
@@daemonx867 12gb of vram is already exceded by some 2023 games 1440p like ratchet & clank RT ultra and Heroes of Aveum UE5 game, all imcoming UE5 games will use lumen ( global ilumination) and 16gb of vram is recomended by devs. 12gb will be the new 8gb.

Last of us Remasterd Ultra maxed out in 1080p =11.800 VRAM used . 4070 RTX is crap after 2 years you cant play on ultra because of vram on 1080p games . If you know PS5 Games that runs on unreal engine 5 that comes to Pc . PS5 has a 6800 XT or non XT version in . So when you like to be forced every 2 year for a new gpu ... buy that crap 4070 . In the UK the 4070ti is 800 pound , and the rx 7800xt is 509 pound . So thats 300 pound for about 10 frames ............
If you oc your 7800xt you will get some decent improvment then it can compete with 4070ti or at least close to it

But U wanna play games with Ray Tracing, U shud shun AMD.
I expected quiet a lot from 7800xt, but when we turn on RT it sucks big time.
Also with OC this card overheats like Crazy, I tested the Sapphire model and it was easily in 80 degrees average.
Its Raster perfrormamance improves by 3-4% max which a again was not noticeable and did not feel worth it considering stock performance is good enough.
So my verdict is, 7800xt is Value king. But if some1 wants best 1440p graphics card irrespective of price its 4070 Ti

Imagine buying a 4070ti and not enabling ray tracing on Cyberpunk, Plague Tale Requiem or Hogwarts but enabling it on far cry 6 where differences are the closest between amd and nvidia because of small intensity of rt effects. 100% legit user case scenario. Totally not amd biased.

See I own a retail PC shop and a gaming cafe. I do agree Nvidia is incredible when it comes to certain cards
From the 30xx gen, 3060 Ti, 3080 both these cards are superb and worth the money.
With AMD in 6xxx series gen 6700xt and 6900XT are brilliant value
With 40 series the only cards that can be told to be priced well are 4070 and 4090.
With 7xxx series the 7800xt and 7900xtx.
All other Nvidia and AMD cards make less sense.
All this said the 4070 Ti is a brilliant 1440p card.
1 wants the best Ray traced performance under 1440p. Look no further than 4070 Ti.
In fact I felt at 1440p the 4070 Ti is a 3090 Ti with power consumption as low as a 3060 Ti. Thats genius.
@@1989rs500 The only problem with it is Vram. It caps more often than not. Especially when you crank on the frame gen with RT. Sometimes it can clog up performance. That's why I went 4080, but in it's raw performance is a pretty solid 1440p card. For sure. I'm sure you can play 4k with it too, with some tweaks without problems.

Well I don't use frame gen at all, majority of time its DLSS Quality and the only game till date that had VRAM spills were Hogwarts Legacy ( much improved after patch ) and Last f us P1 ( Again much better after latest patch )
@@1989rs500 Interesting. That's very good. I was thinking about how games are progressing as the engines are becoming more demanding. I think it'll be useful in 2-3 years for sure. I also plan to skip the next gen. So a 4080 was kinda a clear choice for me. Money wasn't really my problem.

Newer games will be the real test as UE5 will put more on the GPUs then these old games. Cyberpunk 2077 update will be UE5 so its going to be an interesting back and forth between AMD and Nvidia.

Speaking for europe market 4070ti costs arround 900€, Rx 7800xt xfx on Amazon is set at less than 600€… that’s a 300€ difference!
