@@ndaaspirantharshvardhan669 Why would I care about DLSS or FSR or maybe even frame generation if the raw power of the card is more than enough to run native + high fps? If you want a gpu for other tasks besides gaming like for AI/Machine learning and video editing, then NVIDIA is the right answer. But if you are just an average person that wants a gpu for gaming, then AMD is better for the price to performance ratio.
Difference in warzone is huge and at 4k 7800xt is on another level and 4gb of extra vram will be handy very soon.. 4070 is not bad, 7800xt takes things on higher level other than RT..
On the other hand, DLSS looks way better than FSR. And in 4k DLSS looks the same as native even on performance. So it means that in games where 4070 is 10-15% slower, it's actually faster in reality, and without upscaling technologies fps in 4k on both cards is too low mostly anyway. For 1440p though 7800xt is definitely a better pick, because upscaling is not neccessary at that resolution.
@@georgephilips2537 On yet ANOTHER hand, the 7800XT came to market at $500. The same price as a 4060Ti 16GB. And yet the 7800XT beat that 4060Ti by 80%. Not 8%, not 18% .... but 80%. Let that sink in. The 4070's average price, before the Nvidia panic attack kicked in and they were massively reduced, was $750 when the 7800XT came to market. Ergo 50% more expensive, for the Nvidia card, which is ACTUALLY SLOWER than the 50% less expensive 7800XT. Let that also sink in. In fact the only argument that Nvidia fanboys can clutch to, as they seem to refuse to be able to actually praise AMD and the amazing 7800XT and what a grace it is to PC gamers, is about upscaling from a non native resolution OR raytracing. But out of the last 1000 games released on STEAM in 2023, less than 2% of them had any RT implementation at all. Go figure...
He is doing a favor not putting fluid motion, he doesn't want to destroy the quality of the frames to get higher framerates 😅, I prefer to only use fsr3 alone for this very reason
i have a rtx 4070 and im considering returning it and getting the rx 7800xt just bc of the more vram and im playing at 1440p and the to prolong the the longevity of the gpu. the rx 7800 xt is better for the money but i think for $30 more for the rtx 4070 is good bc you get 4 good things going for an NVIDIA gpu. 1. gpu driver are always consistent with new games. 2. DLSS upscallings work better with a NVIDIA GPU than with an AMD GPU. 3. FRAME GEN gives you a massive boost in fps and its only going to get better with new RTX GPUS like the 5000 series gpus . 4.more games support DLSS
only reason im getting the 4070 over 7800xt is cuz i value the low noise and power consumption levels. seems like th extra vram isnt making a huge difference in this showcase.
I wanted to buy 7800xt but for some reasons I had to buy a system that had 4070. It's a great card with dlss and frame generation I'll give it that, but raw power of 7800 xt is huge.
What ppl miss is how efficient the 4070 is so you actually get savings back over the 7800 XT in energy costs over the long term (and less heat in the room). Also, DLSS + Frame Gen (on games that can hit 60 fps without it) is just incredible added value over FSR and AMD smooth motion. Nvidia driver support is also superior. You can use any monitor for VRR as it's compatible with both gsync and freesync. Reflex is superior to Anti lag +. Nvidia card can also use the AMD features like FSR if a game doesn't support DLSS. You also get Alan Wake 2 bundled with the 4070 over Avatar. You can get both cards at nearly the same price of 499-515. Yes, I bleed green :)
true dat, i was contemplating to buy my first AMD card but honestly now that the 4070 prices are going down it's a no brainer, i will stay nvidia lose some FPS here and there but have a stable card. also 12gb of memory should be plenty for gaming, rn i have a old 1070 8gb and still kicks asses lol
what ppl miss is 7800xt supports AFMF, which nvidia doesnt have lol, and dont talk about input latency, at 60+fps its very acceptable lol specially if your base fps is 100+

I want to take the rx 7800xt nitro+ soon, watching videos on RUclips it shows itself perfectly, but when I watch tik tok or something on other platforms, everyone says that RX is garbage, games crash because of drivers, chip dumps, etc. . Is it worth listening to these people? or as they say, it's just "couch experts." Is everything working well, and are there any problems with the drivers on the 7-thousandth line of video cards?
When i am testing this gpu i got zero issues that you mentioned. Drivers are stable and they will more improved in future as well. If you are getting a good deal on 7800xt then go for it
Yes both cpus are great for this gpu. If you are building a new rig then i will suggest to go with the ryzen 7800x3d + rx 7800 xt & if you are already on AM4 platform then 5800x3d is the best option for this gpu
Depends on the model of gpu more than the gpu my 7800XT stays below 55C at all times my mates hits 70C same with 4070 just get a good model if u want good cooling
In my country they have the same price. I think I'm getting the 4070. Even if it has less vram, it draws 25% less power, has better ray tracing, has dlss & fg and dlss is a major selling point for me as it looks absolutely amazing compared to fsr. If 7800 was better priced i would have considered it but atm it doesn't look good.
@@gamerogalax i'm not going to pay the same money for lower image quality and higher power consumption. the extra ram never payed dividends. look at the 3060 12gb, everyone said in a few years it will be better than the 3060ti because of the extra ram. and now 3 years later the TI is still much faster. 12 gb is enough for 1080p high refresh for the next 4 years. which is what i'm looking for

@@DJFireboyy i'm on a ryzen 3600 with an rtx 3060 12. i'm going for an in-place 5800x3d and the rtx 4070 next month. I am waiting for the rtx super line-up to see if there is a better upgrade path on the gpu side, that's why i haven't upgraded yet.
For both being around 550 dollars, the rx7800xt gives much more fps and i am sure not EVERYONE plays only raytraced games AND EVEN WITH THAT, the rx7800xt wins on Far Cry 6 raytraced, but if you want a more power efficient card and lower temps while stress testing, the RTX 4070 can be a better deal in some workloading tasks like pathtracing and aerodynamics simulations.
I'm thinking for several hours and it's so hard to choose. 7800XT much stronger in native resolution and even in FSR Quality mode. But 7800XT is so weaker in Ray Tracing and AMD Fram generation technology works like shit in Forspoken with frame drops, looks like it doesn't work. I think that 4070 is still a better choice, cos it's good in Quality DLSS mode, and RT with frame generation work really cool. I watched The Last of Us Part 1 with frame generation mode and it was 150 fps without any noticeable fps drops. It was amazing.
Yeah the VRAM is really the only reason to choose the 7800XT. DLSS is in almost all the big titles and boosts fps way more than the 7800's raster bonus. But the 12GB VRAM might limit its lifespan.

Is there any different between image quality and shaders on both cards. I see their rtx 4070 has sharper image compair to rx7800xt. I want to build a pc under 1500$ can anyone suggest me the best parst. (1440, RT ).
I'm also building a pc with the same budget and personnaly I would choose the rtx 4070 because of better image quality and also dlss3 which outperforms the fsr3

I'm not sure what you guys are smoking, but there is little to no difference in overall image quality. No one, no one would ever be able to put them side by side and pick which was which in a blind test. nvidia sycophants are like apple customers, they will eat up whatever they sell to them no matter what. The 4070 is inferior to the 7800xt any way you slice it for the game enthusiast, which only shows how overvalued the 4070 is. The 7800 drivers are guaranteed to get better over the next 4 years, but that 12GB on the 4070 is not going to get bigger.
@@darkfire3691over 45 games tested on hardware unboxed, the 4070 is 2% faster than 7800xt in ray tracing performance at 1440p. The facts is Frame generation saves the 4070, just like frame generation will save the 7800xt. There is literally nothing for Nvidia fanboys to be gloating about.

I had a 2070 so i boight a 4060ti for the increase in processing power, but since im selling the 2070, gonna take the 4060ti back and just combine the money for a 7800xt. Time for a full amd build. I game in 2K and 8 gigs of Vram is jist dated despite upscaling
Hey I might be a little late to respond but if you want to have good blender and gaming I would use an intel cpu and a rx7800xt as your gpu because blender is cpu intensive (p.s. the 7800xt is cheaper than the 4070)
@@SySy-k5l I am between 4070 and 7800xt too. 7800xt is 70Eur cheaper. Never played with RT and all the new games and I afraid to go for 7800Xt because people say that it lacks perfomance with RT on. So tired already reading, watching. I wish I had a friend who is gamer and has modern gaming PC to show me and explain all about the modern gaming. As well still do not understand about frames generator. Some people say it generates fake frames and overall picture is worse than with raw fps.
@@KeymoreNick me personally I can’t really tell the difference of the image quality when RT is on. But usually I don’t recommend RT unless the graphics card is strong enough to do so, but the 4070 is ok at it with RT but the issue is that I just don’t think it has enough vram to max out all of the settings especially with RT but I could be wrong I don’t have a 4070. With frame generation it does produce fake frames in order to make a smoother experience for gaming, but the issue is that it delay the response time when you play games so even that I won’t recommend turn it on unless you have 60fps or better when playing. My opinion I suggest the 7800xt or even the 7900GRE but if you want an invidia gpu then the 4070 isn’t a bad choice either

But hated reflections on the floor(can not be so polished) and the way how Ray Tracing puts light there where it should not be. i think i go for the 4070 as it requires less power and is less noisy. But id go for 7800xt if i didnt value those other two stats. Seems like the extra vram is unnecessary in the neat future as well. the 4070 hits an average of like 8 nad max of around 10, so even has some breathing room. So same price here in denmark pretty much ill get 4070 probs.
Don’t forget too Ray Reconstruction, more stable drivers, and better ray tracing performance. The all around better card really is still team green, but AMD is on Nvidias tail.

@@KittyKittyyyy it doesnt matter how powerful your CPU is it's never gonna be a problem for your gpu, the 7800x3d can maximize the performance of GPUs up to the 4090 so it will have no trouble keeping up with the 7800xt so the 7800x3d is a perfectly good cpu to get for this card.

Sure. Same way that console command G_Synchronousclients in Quake III made everything hyper smooth. But how many serious online FPS gamers used that command in Quake III? Zero. How many of them even used VSYNC? Also zero. Why? Cos it adds disgusting levels of latency and makes the game entirely unplayable at a competitive level, not to mention feeling like you're playing underwater. For me, ANY action game from Quake to Ori & The Blind Forest to Inside to Forza .... response time is king. Immersion is king. If I'm playing a turn based strategy game, like Civilization 6 or whatever .... latency is fine. But then, I don't need to generate frames in those games, do I? Cos 30fps is fine in those games. It's catch 22. The answer, as always, is forget about gimmicks and focus on ACTUAL, REAL performance. And stay away from DLSS as an argument to buy a card. If you're ALREADY planning on sacrificing native resultion horsepower, then you're off to a terrible start.

I noticed that in Rdr2 the vram usage in Rtx 4070 is much less compare to Rx 7800 xt why that?
That is because amd rx 7800 xt rebar is stronger then nvidia rebar, rebar is enabled on the both gpus

Dude don't get 4070. 7800xt is future proof. Even without any upscale tech it works better. FSR 3 will come soon and also it has 4gb more vram
Also ray tracing is not available in all games, only few games supports it.

For both being around 550 dollars, the rx7800xt gives much more fps and i am sure not EVERYONE plays only raytraced games AND EVEN WITH THAT, the rx7800xt wins on Far Cry 6 raytraced, but if you want a more power efficient card and lower temps while stress testing, the RTX 4070 can be a better deal in some workloading tasks like pathtracing and aerodynamics simulations.
And the price diferent... Amd just better
I'm thinking for several hours and it's so hard to choose. 7800XT much stronger in native resolution and even in FSR Quality mode. But 7800XT is so weaker in Ray Tracing and AMD Fram generation technology works like shit in Forspoken with frame drops, looks like it doesn't work.
I think that 4070 is still a better choice, cos it's good in Quality DLSS mode, and RT with frame generation work really cool. I watched The Last of Us Part 1 with frame generation mode and it was 150 fps without any noticeable fps drops. It was amazing.

Yeah the VRAM is really the only reason to choose the 7800XT. DLSS is in almost all the big titles and boosts fps way more than the 7800's raster bonus. But the 12GB VRAM might limit its lifespan.

No one, no one would ever be able to put them side by side and pick which was which in a blind test.

The 4070 is inferior to the 7800xt any way you slice it for the game enthusiast, which only shows how overvalued the 4070 is.
The 7800 drivers are guaranteed to get better over the next 4 years, but that 12GB on the 4070 is not going to get bigger.
7800xt looks to be a great for temp control.
7800 xt has the same perf as 6900 xt . So 7800 xt is 10 % faster than 4070 . But on rt 4070 is better.

@@darkfire3691over 45 games tested on hardware unboxed, the 4070 is 2% faster than 7800xt in ray tracing performance at 1440p. The facts is Frame generation saves the 4070, just like frame generation will save the 7800xt. There is literally nothing for Nvidia fanboys to be gloating about.

I had a 2070 so i boight a 4060ti for the increase in processing power, but since im selling the 2070, gonna take the 4060ti back and just combine the money for a 7800xt. Time for a full amd build. I game in 2K and 8 gigs of Vram is jist dated despite upscaling

Hey I might be a little late to respond but if you want to have good blender and gaming I would use an intel cpu and a rx7800xt as your gpu because blender is cpu intensive

@@SySy-k5l I am between 4070 and 7800xt too. 7800xt is 70Eur cheaper. Never played with RT and all the new games and I afraid to go for 7800Xt because people say that it lacks perfomance with RT on. So tired already reading, watching. I wish I had a friend who is gamer and has modern gaming PC to show me and explain all about the modern gaming. As well still do not understand about frames generator. Some people say it generates fake frames and overall picture is worse than with raw fps.
@@KeymoreNick me personally I can’t really tell the difference of the image quality when RT is on. But usually I don’t recommend RT unless the graphics card is strong enough to do so, but the 4070 is ok at it with RT but the issue is that I just don’t think it has enough vram to max out all of the settings especially with RT but I could be wrong I don’t have a 4070. With frame generation it does produce fake frames in order to make a smoother experience for gaming, but the issue is that it delay the response time when you play games so even that I won’t recommend turn it on unless you have 60fps or better when playing. My opinion I suggest the 7800xt or even the 7900GRE but if you want an invidia gpu then the 4070 isn’t a bad choice either

i think i go for the 4070 as it requires less power and is less noisy. But id go for 7800xt if i didnt value those other two stats. Seems like the extra vram is unnecessary in the neat future as well. the 4070 hits an average of like 8 nad max of around 10, so even has some breathing room. So same price here in denmark pretty much ill get 4070 probs.

Don’t forget too Ray Reconstruction, more stable drivers, and better ray tracing performance. The all around better card really is still team green, but AMD is on Nvidias tail.

@@KittyKittyyyy it doesnt matter how powerful your CPU is it's never gonna be a problem for your gpu, the 7800x3d can maximize the performance of GPUs up to the 4090 so it will have no trouble keeping up with the 7800xt so the 7800x3d is a perfectly good cpu to get for this card.

Sure. Same way that console command G_Synchronousclients in Quake III made everything hyper smooth. But how many serious online FPS gamers used that command in Quake III? Zero. How many of them even used VSYNC? Also zero.
Why? Cos it adds disgusting levels of latency and makes the game entirely unplayable at a competitive level, not to mention feeling like you're playing underwater.
For me, ANY action game from Quake to Ori & The Blind Forest to Inside to Forza .... response time is king. Immersion is king.
If I'm playing a turn based strategy game, like Civilization 6 or whatever .... latency is fine. But then, I don't need to generate frames in those games, do I? Cos 30fps is fine in those games.
It's catch 22. The answer, as always, is forget about gimmicks and focus on ACTUAL, REAL performance. And stay away from DLSS as an argument to buy a card. If you're ALREADY planning on sacrificing native resultion horsepower, then you're off to a terrible start.
