What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

Well i am 29 and my ex was 48when we were dating , we had a baby and i love my son more when anything . He has older daughter who is 23 but we mainge to get along. We no longer together still having friendly realationship because of our son. At the time it really felt like age didnt matter but in the end of the day it does because i felt like i was not equal well just my personal experience 🙂

Mentally speaking, that statement is true, but not physically.
We've just developed stereotypical roles for age numbers based on common traits, so a 12-year-old will be expected to behave in a certain way based on what most kids at that age behave. Conversely, a 55-year-old is expected to behave like a typical mature man/father figure because that's how we've grown accustomed to expect. However, a 55-year-old can indeed mentally feel like they're more similar to a stereotypical 25-year-old, and thus can indeed feel connected with your average 25-year-old.
It's all about how much experience you've had and how you've come to feel on the inside, not simply how much time has passed since your birth.
I actually have to agree with the daughter on this one. If my dad dated someone that was about my age I would be pissed too. Especially since she lost her mother, this is terrible. That dad needs to grow up and not rely on finding a "new hot young girlfriend" (yes I know they're actors but still. Think about if you were in the daughter's situation.)
If I was in her situation, I'd be happy for my dad for having found a new partner. I wouldn't try to make his relationship choices about me, and I wouldn't judge his partner solely by her age. Because I'm not a gauche, judgemental twat.

RIGHT?! 😭 My partner is 4 years older then me and even it gets weird talking about how he just graduated high school a few months after I became a freshman, and how I was just a baby when his childhood toy (Bionicle) came out, and when he tells me about shows that he watched as a kid that I never even heard about until he mentioned them.
Also before we were together: In June 2020, I mentioned that I was going to be 19 the very next month and he said that he felt old but other friends and I assured him that he was not and he said he was uncomfortable by “age and relationships” and we were all confused and he said he was too embarrassed to say it so we dropped it… But I suspect he was flustered by the fact he was 23 and having the hots for somebody who was still technically a teenager. 🙈
The first couple was the best in terms of their reaction, particularly telling the guy that she's not the love of his life after 3 months. Imagine saying such a thing when clearly he was married to the girl's mom for probably years. That would be crushing.

I loved how she worded it. And yes I can definitely see both sides, my mom married someone way younger than her. And I'm currently in a long term 2+year relationship with a man who's 19 years my senior. I met him through work, and we hit it off right off the bat. In fact he was shocked when I first told him my age, as he put it. The way I carried myself and spoke not only to him but hearing how I spoke to others (I was a manager) he thought I was well into my 30s with a really young face. And I didn't believe he was as old as he said he was due to the fact he also looked really young for his age and took care of himself.
