This is the La Marzocco Linea Mini. I’ve had it as my primary machine at home for nearly half a year now. In this video I’m going to share my thoughts on this as a home machine, the pros, cons, quirks, nitpicks, and of course, whether or not I think it’s worth it.

Sorry to say I find that the video title is misleading since it is about WHY you sold the machine. But after watching for 9mins out of a total 11min video then comes the part where u really explained why u sold it

Super sexy machine, but Profitic, Leliet, and ECM make some amazing machines that do more for less than half the price. I'm currently using (and endlessly tweaking) a Gaggia EVO Pro while I work my way up to a Profitec Pro 300. For a less than a third of the price, it's a hell of a machine that will do everything I will ever need.

@@itsxris hi have question for u . looking to buy the profitec pro 800 my only concern would be that some people say the grouphead can overheat sometimes .have u found that this can happen or is it quite stable
@equilbrium i have only had it happen once when running it for a pop-up (so long hours/lots of people) - no issues in regular scenarios
No flow control? Nah! I’d rather get the Profitec Drive for 3k canadian less, but with more features.

The Mini (and Micra) require cloud connection for some features (such as power schedule and temperature setting via-app). Which is absolutely stupid and a deal breaker for me.
Odd - I don't find connecting to internet for those features a problem for me. Let's me control it if I'm on the way home for example and want it to be on and ready by the time I'm back.
@@itsxris it's "odd" that i would have an espresso machine i can't use at our house in the woods (no internet) or at the office (secure, no guest network) because LM is Bad at IOT. Sorry for the rant. great review.
that's fair, maybe allowing both wifi or bluetooth would have been nice, seems like the same complaint often found with Sonos products
@@itsxris yeah. fridges, smartTVs, my goddamn oven -- I'm pretty frustrated with the indiscriminate and brain dead application of "cloud connectivity" to innocent appliances that are not made better by it. BTW I canceled my LMLM order and acquired an older one -- in the hopes of avoiding the IoT features and alas, the previous owner installed an undisclosed IoT kit. which immediately enraged me when i tried to set its temperature and it demurred because it needed a firmware update :face-palm:
