- Another fabulous day at Marathon Eryri (Snowdonia Marathon) weather amazing, scenery beautiful, support incredible. And a 6th coaster to add to my collection.
Marathon Eryri was celebrating it's 40th event, and Jane, race director, was celebrating her 20th time of making it all happen.
I had some lovely chats with folk on the way round from a chap who was running his 30th Eryri, to a lady who was running it as her very first marathon. It was really touching how many came up and told me how much my videos from previous years had helped them in their preparation.
Mile 24 was as special as it always is, with a "Wild West" theme this year and the cup of tea was as good as ever. But every one of the volunteers out there on the course was amazing, the cheers, the snacks and the encouragement to keep going is just fantastic.
This year I left the car at home and used trains and cycling to get me to Llanberis and camped in a campsite on the outskirts of Llanberis right by where we descend back into Llanberis at the end of the marathon.

About Ian, Iona and Family
===============================
Each week on this channel Ian (Dad) and Iona share our little adventure experiences, often joined by Ewan (Iona’s older brother) and Ruth (Mum) too.
Our weekends often start with parkrun. Iona is on a non-repeat parkrun tourism streak having now visited over 100 different places since she started parkrunning. But we don’t just do parkun and dash home, we love exploring the area and often use bikes and trains for our travels to keep our carbon footprint low and because it adds to the adventure too. When school holidays arrive, longer adventures are possible with Ewan and Iona both being keen cycle tourists and mountain climbers!
So if you like heading outdoors and your idea of a perfect weekend includes parkrun, climbing a mountain or exploring new places on two wheels then we would love to have you join us on our adventures.
We’d love it if you subscribed so you can follow our journey and hopefully be inspired to get out the door and have your own little adventures. Do like and leave comments on our videos too on questions you might have or ideas for places to explore or adventures to go on.

Spoke to you briefly at bag drop after watching your previous Eryri Marathon video a couple of days before to check the course out. Enjoyed watching this one and seeing the amazing views again! This was my first marathon, and I'll hopefully be back again.
Glad you enjoyed it, enjoyed it. The views were fabulous this year. I'm sure you'll be back year after year.

Another good one, sad I couldn't make a starring appearance this year but plenty of Roadents in this. Hopefully see you at Pontypridd Park Run in the none too distant future.
Yes I spent quite a bit of time with a group of Roadents. Pontypridd Park features on my cycle across Wales video as well.
I always look forward to this video brilliantxx thanks
Hope you enjoyed it!
