I get Harry’s point about Rice being press resistance. But one thing I have notice with the last season unlike partey first two seasons. Is that because of the introduction of zinchenko he is not required as much to break the press and progress the play. The work as a tandem to and zinchenko is normally the one breaking the press and partey more reserved. So that role has changed some what.

Firstly I agree with Harry I’m skeptical we spend 200 mill on two midfielders, but would adding caicedo be the route to self sustaining. He could be cover for RB and midfield while he learns the Partey role..
It's ridiculous that we're still considering Zubimendi's story.He has already officially announced that he will remain at Sociedad and will take over Illaramendi's jersey number 4.I've been following Sociedad since Arteta was there, and number 4 is a special number. And he will choose La Liga over EPL.

Wouldn’t mind getting Arda Guler for a bargain! Even if we loan him out for the season while we see how Viera gets on in the coming season. From what I’ve seen I think he looks better than Viera already, but id give him one more season see where he’s at with a proper pre season behind him.

On rewatch! I’m gonna agree with Harry on rice but also pose to him that rice has carried west ham out of pressure. He has also played that pivot role under Southgate and I don’t think he looked out of place. Only time will tell though!

The players that Arsenal has signed from City are not rejects. City still wanted them. Cancelo is not a City reject either. He was their player of the season before he fell out with the coach. If we sold ESR to a team, he would not be a reject. Same with Tierney. It is Pepe that would be a reject because we do not need or want him.

I feel like we're not being honest with ourselves about this Rice transfer and patting ourselves on the back a bit too much. Yeah we've improved a lot recently so we become a good choice for him, but we win by default. He wants to stay in London. If Chelsea finished top 4 which they do 9 times out of ten he would've gone there. Just my thoughts.
That’s generally how it works tho isn’t it. You have to make yourself attractive for other players to want to join you. Chelsea haven’t just attracted players because of their success, but also they are a club that is consistently willing to pay over the odds for players which means the haggling time is less and the deal is done before other clubs come in. That’s similar to what we are doing with Rice.
Kai Havertz??? NO. Especially now. We cannot fund Chelsea's purchase of Caiceo. Period; Hard Stop.
And Kai isn't worth half of Cheslea's asking price.
