This is bulshit attacking pat Patterson. The shit needs to be put in proper perspective. There are going to be a lot of people and this moron roma is jealous and angry that he never got to a glory position in wrestling...
Well not all things gay related are the fault of Pat Patterson. Not saying you're wrong but to assume that anything gay related was the result of PP is just moronic.

The interviewers should speak to the women wrestlers who spoke up when the WWE tried to name a Battle Royale after the Fabulous Moolah just a few years ago. Their interviews should still be on RUclips.
WHAT WERE THE WOMENS NAMES
@@kyleday5026 I remember an interview by Luna Vachon and another one from women wrestlers from the 1980's perhaps Rockin Robin and/or Wendy Richter. One of the video had said many of the women wrestlers trained by Moolah were speaking up.

So THAT's why Paul Roma and Jim Powers were buried as jobbers, despite having great looks and wrestling ability. I always wondered why they never won the tag straps. Now I know.
i dont think that was it, in previous shoot interviews Paul had said he and jim didn't get along and fought, i think he claimed Jim was unreliable, etc, and that's why they were split
@@littletom1978I think I read the same thing about Roma and Powers not getting along. I also remember seeing Power & Glory wrestling Jim Powers and another jobber on TV, so Powers couldn't have been the one who had just one day was gone from the company.
A quick look on Wikipedia says Roma teamed with S.D. Jones briefly before teaming regularly with Jim Powers, and he had other regular tag team partners according to the Cagematch site, so it could have been any of them.
Powers was used off and on through 94, Roma was gone after 91. Im sure memories fade for timelines especially when they were constantly traveling. If its true then Powers would have to confirm it. Which I never agree with outing someone like that who hasn't themselves already. That's there issue/trauma to share or admit. Roma was definitely in that time frame of things going in, he was there as early as 83 I think. I dont not believe him, though if I was just casually watching this interview knowing nothing more, he doesn't come across 100% believable. Its an issue with performers of that era, they always pop up on any report done of things done back then, and usually bounce around from happened to me, to heard about it, to saw it, maybe. Always think back to Billy Graham on Donahue, said he saw what happened with the ring boys, then all Donahue did was say I dont think you actually saw it, and Graham goes ok maybe I didn't see it.
100 percent. I always wondered that as a kid too.
Now we know why Paul Roma, who had a great physique and athleticism, became a jobber in wwe.
Roddy Piper spoke on this but noone took him seriously
I think we all did lol
Arguably started exposing all this stuff
He backtracked on what he said tho
Roddy did speak on it. Look up his interview
For news media not to identify the big money, medical grade drug access and sociology dynamics in traveling tv show, being run by alleged predators, is disturbing.

Pat Patterson was the real creep there. Several wrestlers have done podcasts calling him out. Vince was probably his straight (implying that Pat liked the men but Vince liked the women) pupil in all that shady nonsense.
Roma is an idiot BS'er so ignore him. But Powers himself has said he had trouble with Pat. Then he stopped getting booked for a while. However, Powers says that what fixed it for him was that Roddy Piper heard about it, went straight to Vince, and angrily let Vince know. Then Vince had a top office guy call Powers and tell him they heard about the situation and that from then on he was booked full-time. By the way, this had nothing to do with Stallions breaking up - that was entirely Roma demanding that - and he's said that many times! lol.
My impression is Vince liked both men and women.
@ssssssstssssssss yes I was told years ago he openly admitted to being bi sexual its on an interview somewhere. Many years ago. All the top execs rented hotels n basically took the talent they had and sexually abused them. Said they'd lose their jobs if they didn't comply.

Man, this sh*t with Vince McMahon and WWE is crazy. It seems like more and more disturbing stories from former WWE wrestler's and employees is coming to the light. It makes me wonder what the current WWE wrestler's and employees go through behind the scenes. Because it sounds like Vince McMahon is not the only one abusing his position, power, and money in WWE. It'll be interesting to see who else gets exposed as more information comes forward....hopefully. Because people should not have to prostitute themselves in order to keep their job and salary.

Pat Patterson had a lot to answer for, ask Psycho Sid, Billy Jack Haynes, the late Tom Zenk, Jim Powers, and many others.
True, but Billy Jack is a whack job. I mean "boys on the track" When he was in a different state and WRESTLING a match during this time.
@@theyamo7219Plus, he just killed his wife
The incident in question that Mario Mancini brought up was Rita Chatterton, who was shut down back in the 90s after she tried to tell the truth.
Yes, she was sued, but the lawsuit was dropped. HOWEVER, she was able to get some justice from a recent civil suit against the WWE where they settled out of court.
He's gotten away with this shit for decades' time for justice to be served
What's really poetic IMO is that Vince is filthy rich and will most likely get away from it, but in the process he totally lost his grasp of what he spent his entire life building, he is publicly exposed until death and loses all future possibilities of pulling the power moves he used to pull to get people to submit to him so he could humiliate them. Now all he can do is hire prostitutes but that won't be fun for him because he liked pulling those power moves (ex: you do this or you get fired), not do transactions.
@@Mr.G237 Yes indeed. I think Vince thought he was immortal and didn't want to let go. When he saw his family and Triple H were about to claim WWE, he freaked out and took those hopes away by making the TKO merger. Vince is just that low of a human being IMO, he did that just out of spite because he doesn't get along with his wife and kids. He thought he could reassert his position as the boss.
I think someone very high ranked knew about Vince's antics and waited for this to happen, then told the woman to go forward and that they would back her up. IMO the person who would have the most to win in this scenario is Nick Khan.
Vince was played and manipulated IMO, but he deserved it for doing the same to countless wrestlers throughout decades.
If you're a longtime wrestling fan this isn't shocking. Look at the Rita Chatterton allegations, the ring boy scandal, even constant rumors Vince was gay have been around since the 80s. I do want to know what's worse than all this though. I am starting to think Vince is bisexual, not gay like the rumors. He likes to watch other men have their way with the current victim (not to mention some foul 3 ways involving poo). I think he's down for it all and what he truly gets off on is power. Im curious if Linda, Shane, and or Stephanie knew and to what extent. It seems like Stephanie would have been around Vince the most so maybe she found out and that is why she basically retired, or maybe she knew and helped keep it on the low and she got forced to retire or something.
That’s why they say Shane left in like 2004 he heard what his dad was doing asked him to stop and he wanted Shane to join in on it so he quit for a long time
They all found out what he was up to Linda left him and the kids have stopped talking to him from what I've heard Shane hasn't wanted to be around him for years now that's why he left the business completely and every time Vince left Stephanie came back and when he came back she left so they all what kind of pos he is
@@craigugulini3409Join in? Any motive sounds complicated because cant be appealing, sexually, to risk losing lots of money and freedom.
They definitely knew some of it. Maybe not all of it but some for sure. If Vince was truly boasting about this shit with his employees then there's no reason to doubt his family knew about it.
It certainly explains that "Stand Back" Show tune he did. Anyone who does that has to be light in the loafers
Here's the problem I have with these interviews. Why now ? Every one of these wrestlers could have addressed this behavior years ago. Paul really doesn't tell us much here. He has two partners who were approached, never mentions himself. And obviously just by what he is saying , was irritated that his partner went to Arnold to tell him what was going on . He was worried about himself. That's fine , but why come out NOW ? All these former wrestlers are coming out now, why , not because they find this to be an atrocious act , because if they did , they would have come forward when they all could have stopped it. That's what I was thinking too. The trauma of child sexual abuse is bad enough, but I can imagine it could be an even worse thing to have put all that in the past, be an adult now with a wife and kids who know nothing about what happened to you, and then have all of that become public knowledge.
Kudos to Roma for having the discretion to not blab every detail or name names. Some that like to gossip would have loved to be on that program and tell everything.
I always thought it was strange how Hbk was protected and got away with alot. Even retired he still was getting paid by Vince. There was almost zero hope of him reviving his career 😂
Vince was desperate for top talent at that point of time, and think vince was going to stop paying him which is why Michael's back injury suddenly got better
Vince basically paid him not to go WCW, as he dipped out the spotlight following the insane backlash for the screwjob. I have zero doubt HBK engaged in certain sexual acts.. (consensual for sure), but quite possibly, with other men. The dude turned to God for a reason..

This guy strikes me as the kind of dude who just wanted to wrestle and do his job but there always was some backstage shit going on that he didn't want to do anything with and this resulted in his career not getting as big as it should have, because he didn't want to comply with that bullshit. In WCW he clashed with people doing backstage politics too. There's a WWE-produced documentary video where Ric Flair and Triple H try to bury Roma and Roma answers back. I remember when this tag-team, "The Young Stallions" started out in the mid-to-late 80's and they were winning a lot of matches at first. This to me was great because they had been losing every time as single competitors on the weekly WWF shows that used to air on local tv networks. They were the total package as to what a competitive tag-team looked like and apparently the women loved them. All of a sudden, they were on this losing streak and broke up. At first, I thought what had happened to them was the same thing that happened to Marcus Alexander Bagwell when he started out in WCW with the backstage politicking from older and (possibly jealous) wrestling veterans. Now I know. Sad because they were really good and knew how to work a match with everybody from their previous experience as talent enhancement or jobbers.

The guy who said "it's not worth it" is actually SD Jones.
For a moment I thought he was talking about Jim Powers but he had to be speaking of Hercules because Jim Powers is still living.
SD Jones
@@ALEXANDER-mx6dk I forgot about Roma and SD Jones being a tag team. Ray Fernandez I don't think anyone would have wanted to mess with that guy.
A lot of people in the business put Paul down but when we had wrestling in our Spectrum in Philly each month . Paul was a great guy to me when we would talk in the back of our building.
Wasn’t Jim powers the one who Pat Patterson was trying to proposition? In addition to him, he wanted Sid to watch lightning outside while trying to play grab ass with him
Yes
Yeah he certainly was, but Roma wasn't talking about Powers, he was talking about one of the jobbers that he teamed with between teaming with Powers and Herc. He also said the team only lasted 2 TV tapings. So certainly not Power and Glory or the Young Stallions, Power and Glory were together for months (Power and Glory started in 1990 and split up in 1991 after Roma left the company), as were the Stallions.
I hope that Vince McMahon goes to prison for abusing and sexually victimizing female employees and wrestlers and what he did to the male wrestlers
Everything is made up in the civil lawsuit and that isn't a criminal case.
@@sandyunderpants4376 Vince McMahon reputation is destroyed and he will probably go to prison
You are… the people who you surround yourself with
Yet it had to come out before anybody comes out to say anything the word involved comes to mind
I ALWAYS wondered what happened to Hercules. Wiki says he passed from heart disease 🤔
Tom Zenk turned Pat Patterson down and he was quickly out of the WWF after that.
I thought it was Jim Powers. Either way tue story I heard specifically named Patterson
@@MikeHart72 It was both and many others too.
😮so hbk being Vince's boy toy must be true then.
🎯
Paul roma always been an honest guy and very blunt but he looks scared here to go into detail and he was there during the scandals of WWF
nice Ashleigh, getting new info without pushing him away. secrets as old as the industry itself
why do Vince, Paul, and the reporter all look alike😂
Trenbelone makes users act very bizarre
Why is he being interviewed using his stage name?
Always thought Paul Roma was a prick for no selling to Alex Wright all those years ago, but Paul i owe you an apology, you're a stand up human being, a good guy, and no nonsense 👍👍, respect is due, and by the way, you were a decent wrestler 🇬🇧🇬🇧.
People need to stop supporting this company noooooooow!!!
Well Roma if they said that to you would you have done it ? Hell No you would not have nor would any sane person
Actually in this interview it kind of sounds like he did go along with it, and wasn't happy about his partner not doing it because it would break up their tag team. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how it sounds to me.
@@skinnybuddha74 Roma was mad at Powers for complaining to a road agent about being propositioned (knowing it would only hurt their standing), not because he wanted him to accept the offer or because he did himself. He didn't phrase it very well, but he was just illustrating how this culture of abuse could continue to exist for decades, without anyone blowing the whistle, due to the totally asymmetric power structure and total lack of accountability inside the top of the company.
$20 bucks is $20 bucks!
It sounds like Roma allowed it in his case. And thinks there is no problem with it!
Mario Mancini runs a wrestling school with Paul btw.
1:33-1:50 so that's why Jim Powers never got pushed.....
