    Thank you for making accurate videos about real problems and leaving comments on your videos for discussion when accounts owned by the city and government block any kind of dialogue, any way they can.

    was just up in and around Idaho. Didn't see too many tents in the downtown areas. (Twin Falls, Idaho Falls, Boise). Maybe it just hasn't hit there?

    At 1:40 This project has been open for the past year. At a cost of nearly $100 Million, it helps 'homeless' folks sleep, shower, etc, along with personnel who guide the folks to places to eat, get off drugs, etc. and help to find jobs. I know some folks are mentally off, but I find it hard to believe that the majority of them need to actually be homeless. Many don't want to go there, so we still have them messing up our once beautiful riverwalks, etc. They must start helping themselves too!

      They won't go there because there are rules to follow. Like no drugs, alcohol or weapons allowed

    What did people do for decades before this?
    For example, what happened during the Great Depression? How was it in Reno?
    There is more to this than we are being given, here.

    I was homeless on the streets of Reno for 2 years. I had all kinds of problems, but I stopped and woke up one day and said I couldn't do this anymore. When I was young, I went to school to become an engineer, I put my life back together after all the crazy shit I used to do, and now I have a great job, I own a house, bought a brand new truck and got my life back on track, these people want to live on the streets we're ever they want, do what ever they want and don't bother me, it's all bullshit and excuses, I'm all for helping people but you have to help yourself before anyone can help you. They are just lazy and want it all for free, I'm sorry, I've been there and done that, you wanna be a bum and a looser, do it somewhere else or get off your butt's and utilize the services available to you and get your life back together and get off the streets. Just saying from someone who knows!!!!!

    It's truly not good, and a real shame. Also, though, this is NOT an isolated or unique problem across the entire country, not to mention in myriad other countries. Maybe someday there will be a way to mitigate this issue and save some lives while making the communities around the world safer. But in reality it won't happen any time soon. 😞

    We Need more Transparency from the City! And MORE CONTROL ON HOUSING! There is no one doing the right thing. Nevada has the money!

    • @nelsonreau3842

      What kind of control do you want? This is America, free to charge as much as you want. Other people are paying just fine, these tweekers don’t want to work let them live out in the desert somewhere.

    This is really sad that the people in office let this happen and they should not hate the homeless because they are the cause of people being homeless and they don't care

    • @nelsonreau3842
      @nelsonreau3842 2 месяца назад

      How are they the cause? They forced those people to not work and do drugs? 🤦‍♂️

      Most of the homeless have made bad choices in their life.

  • @Pthommie

    This is the legacy of Ronald Reagan in real time. He's the one whose economic policies began the disintegration of affordable housing in this nation, and no one after him ever righted that wrong. Blaming the victims as many do here isn't a solution & in truth it's a cop-out. The reality is that so many have been on the street that they have been personally, psychologically damaged. What they need is a level of care no American wants to pay for -- the working/middle class because they're stretched to the limit; the rich because they're sociopaths incapable of having compassion towards others.
