I’ve been looking everywhere for a decent guide to replace my body/bezel on my 2015 Focus, this is the best video and breakdown. Many thanks

Thanks! I'm glad you went into detail with this, so many others didn't when I was searching! Estimate to replace was $475 by a body shop for new replacement and painting parts to match. Found one in a junk yard already the right color for $80! Sure helps when your deductible is $500!

Thanks very much for the info! This let me replace my turn signal assembly and mirror glass in less time than it took to watch the video, thanks to the detail you provided! Saved me $200 to replace them at the dealer!

Thank you so much for this video. Like most of the other commenters, I was able to fix my issue. The spring assembly managed to pop out and the mirror was all wobbly. At the very least, this would’ve cost me around $120 for a replacement mirror, so again thank you.

Useful film, thanks. Some like me may still find it a little hard to see how you remove the top outer shell, which the film doesn't show (it would be difficult to show). It can be done without removing the actual mirror, but It is quite a tricky operation, and care needs to be taken not to break any plastic, or the mirror itself. It is easier with 2 pairs of hands. If you push the lower, inner corner of the mirror in towards the door, you can make a big enough gap at the top to see the tabs that hold the mirror assembly's outer shell to the black inner shell, and there is just room to get, say, a couple of smallish electrical screwdrivers in. It helps to understand that the two downward-projecting tabs on the underside of the outer shell are rigid - these don't flex, and it is not these that you push. Their normal position is snapped over the rear ends of 2 horizontal, rearward-projecting 'spring' tabs that are part of the inner (black) shell. To free the outer shell's downward-projecting tabs, so the whole outer shell can ride up over them and then forward, you have to depress, simultaneously, the two 'spring' tabs DOWNWARDS, and keep them there until the outer shell can be moved forward.
What makes it difficult for those of us with only two hands is that if only one tab is pressed down, the other one will still prevent any movement of the outer shell. It helps a lot if another person can grasp the outer shell as best they can, and maintain some firm but not violent force in the forward direction. This will allow your two hands to position the tips of the screwdrivers through the semi-circular gap in the bottom of the outer shell's downward projecting tabs, and to press down simultaneously on the ends of the horizontal spring tabs. You can use the underside of the black plastic bezel as a fulcrum to lever against, but be very careful not to use too much force, on the spring tabs, and not to touch the edge of the mirror. Once the outer shell, inder the influence of forward-directed pressure, rides up over the ends of the spring tabs, your helper can try to wiggle the outer shell a bit, and it will eventually come free. Note that there are also hooked tabs at the bottom of the shell. These should not prevent the shell being freed, but they can snag if the outer shell is not carefully lifted up as well as forward, and they need some close attention when you replace the shell.
This operation allows the side indicator lens to be removed, for example if a bulb needs replacing, or if (as in my case) the whole lens needs replacing because some idiot a hundred years ago built a brick wall too close to my car (theory of relativity). Note that this lens unit has a kind of built-in spring clip at the forward end, and has to be freed from that end, not from the rear end, which has a little plastic tongue that fits under the rim, and can only be pulled out once the other end is free.

Louis Mackay I managed to press down on both tabs simultaneously using 2 screwdrivers as a lever with one hand. If you do not press down too hard you won’t break the clips and the mirror cap can be slided out with the other hand. Used 2 small screwdrivers, like those used in GSM repair shops.

Good video. Thanks for the help.
My small suggestion is DONT unplug the wiring from the heater on the glass unless you’re changing the glass itself. Just leave it swinging. The track on the mirror will tear off long before the spade pulls out! Those things are on there!! If you do need to remove it prise it with a flat blade screwdriver CAREFULLY!
