Watch road-warrior duo Handmade Moments deliver the goods during their No Depression Session in the steamy press box atop the grandstands during DelFest 2023! Multi-instrumentalists Anna Moss and Joel Ludford shine brightly as ever, sharing two songs from their album 'End The Wars,' which came out the same day we recorded this session.
The duo waste no time skewering modern consumer culture on their first song “Selling Myself Short,” especially as it relates to the human rights issues surrounding labor and supply chains for our mobile devices. Moss and Ludford are masters at sneaking heavy messages into lighthearted melodies and arrangements, Moss’ bass clarinet functioning like a cheerful Trojan Horse to deliver a grim truth to the listener.
Next up, they share the story of the time they were shaken down by not one, not two, but THREE separate groups of cops in Tijuana, immortalized in their tune “Policia.” ¡Olé!
