Deltona, FL - Major Accident w/ Injuries - October 28 2022

At approximately 6:30pm on Friday October 28 2022 the Deltona Fire Rescue and Volusia County EMS responded to the intersection of East Normandy Blvd and Lehigh Dr. Callers advised there was a two vehicle MVA with one person unconscious. Battalion 61 arrived on scene to two vehicles with heavy damage and established “Normandy Command”. Engine and Medic 61 administered care to an ALS patient which was quickly declared a trauma alert. Engine 62 assisted the second patient while Squad and Tower 65 mitigated Hazards. Medic 61 transported one trauma alert to 710 with 3 riders from Engine 61. Command asked for an additional Medic unit for Engine 62’s patient. All units cleared and the scene was turned over to the VSO Traffic Homicide Team.

Negative, no one was killed however they were seriously injured so they treated it as a THI.

Deltona has a couple engines with different paint jobs, one is the camo and another is a pink fight cancer engine with a bunch of signatures!!
