As much as I adore Vladimir Makarov as the most irredeemable villain in the OG Modern Warfare trilogy, it took two Black Ops games to make Raul Menendez to become my favorite villain with a tragic backstory on top. *Cordis Die*

Cold War took place in the early to mid 1980s while BO1 took place between 1961 and 1968. So the timeline would be: Black Ops 1 Cold War "Past" missions of Black Ops 2 Black Ops 6
What I find ironic is that Black Ops 2 told the same exact story The Last of Us: Part 2 did, and somehow told it better than a fucking Naughty Dog game. Lol
Only thing i got for you is that the saving woods thing at about 1:30 is slightly incorrect. Woods explains in a cutscene that he was captured in 1968 ish. escaped his capture from kravchenko in 1973. Then he was in cold war which was in 1981. Then he got captured by menendez in 1985-1986 ish. All I'm saying this the kravchenko capture and the menendez capture are unrelated.

The whole reason people love the "old days" is because of the memories they created with others. So finally, I want to tell you to create some more memories. That's what made the recent years seem terrible, because lockdown, the pandemic, all that stuff prevented us from making good memories. Now have a damn good day.

My first playthrough I sniped Defalco and saved Harper, Chloe lives and you still get the good ending. I replayed this game like five times and I didn't get any of those scenes on the ship where menendez took over the ship, exept for our super spy jumping to take a bullet for Chloe. Man, this game was so good with everything (well, excluding the first two zombie maps, but then the best 3 after) Underated game.
After all these years i only know realize i got one the worst endings of the game( mason is dead, karma is dead, i killed menendez so the ending where a video of him is streamed happens). Although in my playthrough Briggs and harper are still alive

Menendez is such a conflicting character. His sister only died because of his actions, if he was an innocent man she wouldn’t have been put in the situation she was in. The fact he can never realize that makes him an infuriating character to try and sympathize with.
