That vehicle doesn't look too bad actually I quite like the sleek design and the fact that Lego found a way to store extra ammo on a vehicle that small without getting rid of that sleek aesthetic is imho incredible

The blue pins are so consistent that they almost seem like they are a part of the color scheme XD
honestly that ammo storage compartment is easily this set's coolest feature
I did not expect to see a vacuum cleaner. When I saw "It sucks" I was not expecting such a... literal interpretation. I was caught off guard. And for that I applaud you, Eljay.
Vultraz should write a book about himself called Fifty Shades of Red. XD

he alright. the price in england was fantastic ( £14:99 ) and i always wanted him but never got around to bying him. i did bye his brother in arms though.

Hey, Eljay, I found a way to make the Kardatoran designs better. For the arms and legs, use the CCBS bone pieces. Two of those are rougle the same dimensions as a standard Kardatoran limb piece and are alot sturdier and allow for more articulation. And since they mostly come in black and dark grey, it does't really break the color scheme and, if it does, you'll usually be able to cover it up with armor pieces.
Vultraz is fine. I like him and he goes well with his counterpart, Mazeka. The vehicle is the Skyfighter, and is the vehicle component to Mazeka’s a Swamp Strider. Together they make quite a cool atmosphere and battle scene. And the light spheres being stored in the vehicle is very cool and overall it’s a decent design. And both are armed with the Midak Skyblaster and have really cool sleek vehicles and great new masks.

Captain Landrover how would a reanimated corpse be his parent? fro wht i understood vultras ws considered mediocre set ie sucked so to be sucky he is the child of a device meant to uck ie a vaccume.

I only bought this set for parts to bulk up my Jetrax
Fun fact:
The "Mask of Scavenging" actually belonged to Icarax, before he essentially kept Teridax's Kraakhan warm for the "Master of Shadows." And when he did, when Vultraz was shadow-ified (he was actually the very second Matoran to be shadow-ified), Icarax gave Vultraz his old Mask of Scavenging.
What the MoS does, is it lets the user sap energy out of recently deceased bodies (do note that it means that the deceased needs to NOT be vaporized, absorbed, or anything similar to Krika's death)
I always thought of Vultraz as the Shadow Marianas for Icarax. Like Vican for Mutran.
Gimmicky Games actually vultraz was Gorast's right hand man, whatever hand that was, and then he did a thing that made her angry and then mr. big bag icarax took him as his right hand man.
*+Gimmicky Games* You're not that far off. In fact, the Mask of Scavenging was originally worn by Makuta Icarax, who gave it to Vultraz when he found the Mask of Shadows.

Vultraz, his mask is pure evil, it drains energy from dead beings allowing him to feed in that energy like a vampire(victim has to be dead before use)
The Midax sky blaster and the zamour sphere laucher are probably the most painful launchers, if fired at a certain target
I like the design of the vehicle, but I do agree that Vultraz is quite boring. I still think it was a decent deal for $20.
I also enjoy the storage for the ammo.
I like that storage for the light spheres :)

Anybody notice that the vehicle has a 'sword' shape? That's probably what the designers were hoping to achieve.
This was the only vehicle set I owned as a kid.

Maezeka is the sets name, but the vehicle is called the swamp strider
I think this set would have been great if the vehicle had better detailing and more mass. Another color would be great I think.
I do love the idea behind the model, and I have no real problem with Vultraz himself, seeing as he is not the main focus of the set.

I actually like this set quite a bit. I like the arrow/like design and the ammo bay. The blue pins I think are ok because there are enough of them exposed and the vehicle has a kind of muted colorscheme so you could get away with thinking of them as hilights. I really don't like Vultraz as a figure because he is so monochrome. They should have at least given him black feet and/or hands to break up the red. Also his mask makes me think of a star-nosed mole (im pretty sure thats what its called) which is ugly.

I keep on thinking that Vultraz's mask is the same as Antroz and Radiak's, but it's not. It looks similar though, doesn't it?
Honestly, I really do like this set.
It doesn't do anything stellar, but in playing safe it fixes a ton of problems it might otherwise have had.
I don't mind that it's so thin either...

I'm definitely more of a fan of the bionicle wiki than biosector01
I feel like this guy, or at least his set, was supposed to be the 'stormtrooper' character. What kind of a massive battle only has three vehicles? There had to be more, but all three are canonically special and unique. Better add one that's disposable.

+Magmorix But their vehicles weren't. I think. I'm not too versed in 2008's plot. At the very least, they weren't in the Cordex. Matoran probably made them, implying that maybe possibly there were more than one of the vehicle.
I just feel like they named the character on the vehicle and gave him a minor story role late in the development process. He's so simple /even for/ a 2008 matoran. All the other ones have at least something to give them character besides the mask. He doesn't even have colors. It's almost as if he was intended to be a nondescript, generic figure. Perhaps it would've been like the Bohrok, Rahkshi, Vahki, and etc., except since the vehicle is monochromatic, they just made one and expected you to put your own Matoran on it.
But who knows? TLG was doing some pretty weird stuff concerning Bionicle in 2008.
I think valtraz is an ok set but not great, it could be a pretty good parts pack

I unironically like Ketar, but I don't care for Vultraz at all. The Av-Matoran build is, nicely phrased by Eljay, offensive.

Crusher the dinobot he is not related to radiak, but they were ta-matoran and are now shadow matoran.
CrazyMonkey Dude544 Actually only Vultraz was once a Ta-Matoran, Radiak on the other hand had been an Av-Matoran
I woulda just bought the set, tossed Vultraz aside, and let Kopaka use the vehicle as a hoverboard like Toa Ignika

This doesn't look like as bad a set as expected.
Bionicle had a lot of jobbers in its story, but Vultraz has to be just the biggest one. LITERALLY APPEARED IN THE STORY ONLY TO BE WASTED A FEW CHAPTERS LATER.

Surprised that this wasn't on the Top 10 worst sets list. While not necessarily outright *bad*, I found this set to be highly forgettable, heck *I* forgot that this existed for a long time.
