John -- yes, similar to the Amish enclaves in Pennsylvania, there is a Scottish enclave in Maryland -- we're known for our kilts, our annoying bagpipe playing and the most delicious haggis this side of Edinburgh!
I uses an Argus C3 about 30 years ago, great camera. I have an Ansco Automatic Reflex 3.5 TLR camera that I frequently used. ANSCO cameras are definitely under-rated!
Mike -- I do like the idea of a RUclips video tour of the FPP facilities -- I can't be the only one who is curious about what wonders are hidden there! Is it like the Wonka factory (from the 1971 film)? Or dark and industrial with a Steampunk vibe? "Inquiring Minds Want to Know..." But you know -- ultimately you could get some old carnival-ride equipment and come up with a riding tour -- like the Universal Studios tour, or 'It's A Small World After All' -- hmmm, how about 'It's A Film World After All'....
I bought a few Argus C3 “brick” cameras in the late 90s/early 2000s (for about $2 to $8 each), and after a bit of cleanup, small reapirs and careful lubrication, they’re all working fine. Of course I get very strange looks whenever I’m out using them, lol. But shooting expired B&W film in them produces remarkably “vintage” looking images. Love ‘em.. awkwardness, discomfort and all.
John -- I'm wavering now whether you excel at saying "hotshoe" vs. "pressure".... I may edit those into a totally prog/new-wave/punk anthem for you....
The Argus C-3 "Brick" is a genuine American classic. I own several of them. ❤️
