This song fills me with some strange feeling. I can't quite put a finger on it, but whatever it may be I like it. Great tune my friend, keep up the amazing work till it is all complete. God be with you
A great, well played old military refrain. I had chills and the painting was made for this tune. My other thoughts were for the many thousands of men that never came home.
"L'Ecossaise" was written by Lt. Col. Sam Rhodes, Director of Music The Scots Guards, and Senior Director of Music the Guards Division. When he retired from the Army, he became a school teacher, and taught me music at Walton County Secondary Boys School. A lovely man and and a brilliant teacher.
Excellent job! Our Fyfe & Drumm Corps has been looking for something that nobody else plays, to use at musters and concerts...this would be perfect! Do you have sheet music available?
Sadly, there are no good images of the Scottish "regiments etrangers" in the French army available in the public domain, or else that would have been a good choice ;)

Great to hear the fife(s) so clearly and the drumming careful and subtle with the haunting melody!
Thank you for the encouragement! I'm glad you like it!
Great job, that march sounds like it's straight out of the 18th Century! You nailed it!
Thanks, that's great to hear!
What an unexpected and utterly delightful treat!
Thank you for the kind words!

Hey, man! This is great. I'd love to arrange a setting of this for the bagpipes, if there's sheet music available!
Thanks for the kind words! That shouldn't be a problem (I would tell you to PM me, but that feature seems long gone from RUclips..!)!
Check the "Contact" link on the "About" tab of my RUclips page, and I can send the sheet music over to you!
Nice work!
Thanks a lot!

Des écossais se battant pour les Anglais !! un Déshonneur ! Vive le PRINCE BONNIE

Scots fighting for the English, better than French fighting for the nazis
Scots that fought for the Hanoverian English were mostly lowlanders
'Promo sm' 😝
I don't quite understand what you mean, but if you're implying that I should have paid for this to be promoted then you're painfully mistaken..!
