where should I put the files to change alyx`s skin? I downloaded a mod and pasted on several diferent folders inside half life 2 but its not working, also I couldt find any files that matches those of the mod to overwrite them
Need to find folders: materials and models, then change files in the folder models: alyx.dx80.vtx; alyx.dx90.vtx; alyx.mdl; alyx; alyx.sw.vtx; alyx.vvd. With a folder materials be careful! There are materials two folders in this game. In one there are no files, in the other, where there are files, copy the contents there. If this is not done, then the model will be displayed without textures.
Don't listen to him. Just extract, take out the file called custom, and put it in "hl2" found in half life 2, which should be in your steam apps folder.

What mod? This is Cinematic Mod, you have to use the Character Pimper. If you want to use this with Vanilla Half Life 2, use the Mod installer from GameBanana instead of creating the custom folder manually. It should work.
