two observations... how was the first sounders goal not offsides? also, that yellow card to the sounders player is ridiculous. He didn't get violent at all. referees can't be so feeble. In england that would never be a yellow. let the players tussle a bit, it's part of the game.

You’re 100% correct. Came to watch this after seeing Phil’s post game interview. That’s totally unacceptable for this level of soccer. Not a fan of excuses but that equalizer changed today’s outcome….
Deflection negates the call. If it didnt touch, it would have been! A tough call honestly. I agree in some regard but didn't make the move until the shot was taken. Just happens to hit defender and go in.
He was for enough away from the keeper that it would be called
@@anechointhedark a deflection doesn’t reset offside. Only a deliberate play on the ball by the defender does. And check the replay - there’s no deflection. Just a weird bounce.
@@s9l177 There’s nothing in the laws about distance. Offside is offside. If Morris had been one cm across midfield and in an offside position and screened vision of the ball, it’s the same result.
What a disappointment, one more defeat..
The Timbers seem cursed ever since the sexual abuse scandal, , they never seem able to pull out of this multi year slide to the bottom. Most of the players seem to be just going through the motions. Time for Merritt Paulson to sell the team, we need fresh ownership.
Timbers good for nothing.
Timbers are a very poor side right now, and it’s really down to their roster IMO. This season will likely be a wash until Neville can clear out most of Gio/GW’s signings.
Just like Gio wholly benefited from Porter’s roster in 2018 to make it to the cup final, Neville is now dealing with the opposite situation after years of bad signings under Gio.
