@@davidelton9217 I was 9 years old David and it was the first World Cup I remember properly, that Dutch team were class, Cruyff, Neeskins etc, but the German’s were having non of it!
Thanks for dropping by and looking at the video. The first of many! Highlights only as I'm trying to keep each video below 10 minutes. As always you do the best you can when editing and then you find something that isn't quite right! See if you can spot the Easter egg! Hope you enjoy the video!
Great game really enjoyed watching why having my chippy tea .I've been painting teams but never get the chance to play but it's a good way of relaxing hope you are well it's another thumbs up from me.
Only 31 to go! Have you tried the new scoreboard/timer, it is great for dealing with stoppages and kick offs, and I love the whistle rather than a bell.
Hi Dean Which Subbuteo ref. is Yugoslavia please? Is it always the holders who play in the first game of any World Cup tournament, or is it the hosts? I can't remember. Great game though, the Brazilian keeper - Emerson Leão - preventing an even more embarassing score line. From the real-life clip, I remember Jairzinho - he scored in every game of the 1970 tournament - I don't think that record's been equalled. Brazil - ref. 50 - I think it's the most iconic Subbuteo team of all!
@@soitra Hi Darren, I’m using the Scotland home international kit which is actually more like Yugoslavia than Scotland. I think team #149 might also be classed as Yugoslavia but I might not have that right. When they played each other in 74, Scotland played in an all White kit. Yes, the holders back in the day played the first game. Jairzinho exactly that in 1970, I think the big fro he had in 74 unbalanced him 😁. My game could have been a bigger win but like you say the Brazilian keeper kept the score down. And Brazil was my first Heavyweight team. A classic 👍
Really enjoyed the action, looking forward to all the other matches.
@@ianpatterson123 thank you Ian 👍
4 days after my 10th birthday that game was played and I still remember it. The first world cup I remember and the best!
