@robinma2000 I got down really close to see if it was a touching ball, which I didn’t put on the video, the ball was a couple of millimetres shy of the player. I’ve just played out the Italy v Haiti game, currently editing it. Best game of the tournament so far. Look out for that one 👍

@robinma2000 I have one camera and two stands so I just transfer the camera between the two, so no great problem 👍

@@LdevArt it’s a nice pitch to play on and it does have slightly different coloured green sections, nothing I’ve done to it, it just came that way 👍

@ Yes the old cotton pitches can be a bit hit and miss, managed to get a decent one here though.

@@NPA1001 Had both games and Fred Truman’s test match not an easy game to play solo. A great game in its own rights but also lacks the realistic flexibility and feel of real cricket which Subbuteo Cricket gives you. But that’s just my opinion.

@@salagam Cheers 👍 yes two flicks would work as well, I could have done that but went the opposite way, lol. No defensive flicks would have been interesting, probably higher scoring game using that. And yes they had their chances!

@@clivemedcalf9300 I normally adjust the keepers position depending on the angle the shot will be coming in from. I lay them down as in some cases they tip the ball around the post. And sometimes I get it right and sometimes I get it wrong, just like real keepers 👍

Yes, a little beauty that Chile kit. I thought the same about the South American teams, but I guess there was more of an ethnic mix and the white guys were more tanned! I’ve decided to do a goal of the tournament so that goal is in the mix at this early stage. The Zaire and Haiti kits are nice as well, I think the handicap adds a bit of realism, we’ll see in the results.

@@davidelton9217 I was 9 years old David and it was the first World Cup I remember properly, that Dutch team were class, Cruyff, Neeskins etc, but the German’s were having non of it!

@@soitra Hi Darren, I’m using the Scotland home international kit which is actually more like Yugoslavia than Scotland. I think team #149 might also be classed as Yugoslavia but I might not have that right. When they played each other in 74, Scotland played in an all White kit. Yes, the holders back in the day played the first game. Jairzinho exactly that in 1970, I think the big fro he had in 74 unbalanced him 😁. My game could have been a bigger win but like you say the Brazilian keeper kept the score down. And Brazil was my first Heavyweight team. A classic 👍

Now I’ve got to decide if I want the pain that comes with selling on eBay! So I might sell some stuff or wait until the next event, I’m not sure 🤔.

@@SubbuteoFocus Cool, I look forward to the video. My experience of selling Subbuteo on Ebay is that it usually sells pretty well, plus the hassle of postage is fairly minimal (unless you're doing a bulk sale) - but individual items is probably the most profitable route.

@@peezebeuponyou3774 yes hardboard or MDF seems to be the preferred surface nowadays as well. Back in the early 90’s when I put my board together I only had chipboard. But it still plays very well with the Astro pitch or the Cotton pitch on top of the Astro. 👍

@@pauledmonds6824 sounds like you have it sorted Paul. I’m still keeping my Cricket stuff, Rugby set and enough teams to keep playing. That was one of my issues, my other half said she’d just get rid of everything in the event of my departure to the great Subbuteo stadium above! And I would much rather them put to use by someone else rather than sitting in a cupboard gathering dust! I still have the 74 World Cup to play out, should be plenty of videos there to put out, lol! 👍
