I used to listen to this years ago when I was in school and playing Minecraft with my mates. Beyond the game itself this music gives me nostalgia for a bygone era when life was a lot simplier.. RIP the early 2010s.
I wish i can go back, back to a time where I heard talk of portals, that first time i slapped the disc in my 360 and experienced a new world of experiments and curiosity, seeing the glow of blue appear through a door, a talking sphere, who new huh?, aperture science, a name I’ve never new would feel like home in my heart.
This is and always will ba my fav game of all time. I was alone, no one to experience games with and no Xbox live. My bro didn’t play games with me much so I had the Xbox 360 to myself. Offline gaming was pinnacle fun and playing with bots or campaigns were different every time I let my imagination run wild. Then I saw RUclipsrs play this and I thought cool. Until I got it and was blown away with the game. It took me so long to beat it almost a whole year cause I can’t do puzzle games. But then I beat the game and just the whole ending as soon as glados forces the elevator up to this menu. Made me cry, the moon, the space core, it fit in with my love for space, the memories and music made me love this game. I played it again in 2023 and showed my mates, I beat it in 2 hours. Two seperate play sessions. At first it was funny with my mates. But I found I beat it again cause I just zoned out and fell in love again. Then the menu hit and I cried. Sorry to turn this comment section into a nostalgia hole but I will have this playing in the background forever. To remind me of my love for the game. Thank you. P.s the space core is my fav cause I love space so much. Space is so cool.
I miss this game Please come back Wheatley When this plays on the menu it makes me think about if there's going to be a portal 3 or if there's not. And the fact that you beat the game as well gives off a vibe of relief but just looking at this makes me hope for a 3rd game

this feels nolstalgic after not playing portal 2 for 1 year. truly an awesome game. although i havent fully finished it, (co-op) it still was alotta fun it still felt nice to just play the game after finishing for the 70th time

Gawd 2023 is the year of nostalgia for me.... Recently bought the portal companion bundle for switch Finally played the first one was that great experience even if short then with the experience followed by portal 2 again then getting to this Space Phase it just slowly hits me that this was a beautiful game from gaming's greatest years being a 2000s kid it just brings a tear remembering we can't go back but we have the memories and try to replay the gaming moments

I remember Wheatley saying something like "Are you alright? Here I'll turn off the beam" (you fall down) "Oh no why did I think that would help?" He's not even aware that hes making bad decisions

I like to think that the Space Sphere is just orbiting Wheatley like Wheatley being a sun and Space Sphere being a planet.
