There's more. One extremely important feature of EX you forgot to mention is converting 3D to linework. That you cannot do with photoshop even as far as i know.
I use the comic book feature of EX to generate sketch books as well as comics. Every time I do a new sketch, or a picture I generate a new page. The advantage is I can see an entire months worth of sketches and pick out pictures worth completing, and at the end of the month, I can batch export the entire art pad in a few clicks. The time this saves over doing individual fiels is enormous. exporting and naming an entire month of pictures individually used to take hours, now it takes minutes.
@@izumichan31 and once I batch export, I use "Rename Maestro" to manipulate all the file names at the same time. saving me a whole bunch of time there too. Still have to add picture titles in manually though.

I am currently working with a ton of pages so the Converting multiple pages feature, is a quality of life thing for me mostly but it's not necessary. Get Pro on sale right now it's a good price you'll be fine. I personally had pro but upgraded, that's another good option. You can buy pro now and have the option to upgrade later.

Haroo Husky it stacks, originally the upgrade would be 160, but when it’s on sale, it’s 84. meaning together 25 + 84 =109. (which is the exact same price as the discounted EX version)
so it wouldn’t matter if you bought it normally, or upgraded. i would suggest buying it normally, because you can run into serial number problems, and may have to contact support. buying EX normally is safer.
I think you should compare Clip Studio Paint Pro and EX to Gimp and Krita. Because from the looks of it, I can do all this in free and open source software. I get that some companies require the use of either Clip Studio or Photoshop. But unless you get a license for free, I don't really see its purpose. Maybe I'm wrong. And please correct me if I am. As a csp Debut user, I can tell that its lack of so much compared to the other versions (no perspective ruler for example). So if you think of using it as a pro you should at least get the PRO version.

No. On desktop one-time payment is just that. I bought clip studio in 2016 haven't had to pay anything else since. Well except when I upgraded to Ex, but that was paying for more features. Updates are free. For mobile devices however there is a subscription fee but even that is nowhere near the cost of photoshop I think.

Wow I never thought of doing that. Recently upgraded to ex for more comic stuff, but using that feature for a sketchbook is genius.

Why did EX spike in price? i bought it for like $50 last year now its like $200.

In the 8 years that I've been using it I've only had one file get screwed up in it.
