I skied this run in 2002 when I had no children and the “Colorado Pass” for $350. It scared the shit out of me. Now that I’m 45, a dad and living in Idaho, dream of skiing it again someday with my daughter. She’s 12 and loves skiing. Hmmm, daddy daughter road trip?

I worked on that ski lift today. Birds of Prey Express lift #9.... 1/31/19
I remember that lift as an old slow standard lift, as were Larkspur and Rose Bowl. Those were long rides.

I did this run yesterday and it took me 15 minutes
4:31 I don't get it. Why are they racing DH on GS skis?
It is just marketing skiis for speeches. Not real one they race on.
When they get to the bottom, their ski reps hand them another pair of skis to show off instead of the DH boards they skied on. It’s all marketing. It’s also why skiers immediately take off a ski and make a point of pointing to it; they’re ski sales people as part of their job.
