Yay. It took five videos, but I finally got it with this video! I think the "hand swapping" was the key. Also doing the final two corners together (not separately) helped LOTS. Thanks, I am so proud of myself... after fifty years I now know how to do it!
FINALLY! A video that makes sense. I watched so many of these over and over and yours was the first one that was easy to understand. Everyone says to take the 3rd corner and stick it into the first two. This is where I found everything got all twisted up. YOU said to just take the 3rd and 4th corners together and fold them over, which made it much easier for me to understand. Thank you so much.
Linda, glad to be of help on this! We run an AirBnB out of our home as well and this is a practice we use almost daily. Heck, I've even got DFJay to do this ALMOST as well is I do! Thanks for watching our video and taking time to write. Be sure to pass us on! Best Regards, DFMaggie
Finally - thank you, thank you, thank you🌹🌹🌹 After countless videos that I didn't get at all - now I have it down and all my fitted sheets are nicely folded 😃 can't wait to see my wifes face when I show her this 😃😃😂😂
Thanks Claus!! This was one of the first videos I made when we started the channel (AND WHEN MY HAIR WAS STILL BLACK!! IT'S SILVER NOW!) Keep watching and commenting. We LOVE our DFJ family!!! Best to you. DirtFarmer Maggie.
This is how I fold my fitted sheets, then when I get the flat sheet folded, and one pillow case, too, I slide them into the last pillow case and fold it over so that when I put them into the linen closet, they stack well, they hold together good and don't get mixed up with other sheets. When the grands come to visit, they can just go to the closet and grab a set of sheets with one hand and we're good to go. I love your videos.
Rayma, I don't know how we missed your comment. Thanks for the great idea! We build "kits" as well by batching them together, but I really like the way you approach it. We have an AirBnb as well, and DFJ is the one that strips the beds, launders and dries the sheets, then folds. He then batches them together in stacks for me to remake the beds (I have my personal style and Jay just doesn't quite get it way I like!), but we'll put your idea to use. Nice! Thanks for writing, and if you haven't already, be sure to subscribe to our channel. Thanks - DirtFarmer Maggie
Omg finally I am able to folded the rith way of the fitter sheet king size... been trying for so long on the other video and not able to get it ... finally yrs jus take me five minutes following step by step ... thank you !! going to give u a thumb up .. 7 yrs and finally I found yr channel super happy!! and yes, have alre press the button to subscribe 👍 once again thank you 😊 from Singapore 🇸🇬
Thanks for watching and commenting smoky rene. That was a LONG time ago when my hair was black! It's grey now!! I'm so happy that it helped you. The bigger the fitted sheet the harder it is to fold. Congrats on your accomplishment! Best to you, Dirt Farmer Maggie.
@@DirtFarmerJay Well it doesn't matter U look jus as beautiful i am sure ... so don't worry 😉 thank you sooo much and indeed love yr video indeed it was helpful ... GB .
Well, I guess being a wife and mother of 5 for the last 33 years has given me time to learn some stuff that helps me keep things organized. Hope it helps you too! Best to you Benjamin Patrick. DFM
This sort of video is so important. There are a lot of young people that grew up without any skills. I think it's great when people like you, Dirt Farmer Maggie, make videos that help people and put good into the world. It might seem like just a video on folding a sheet but there's a lot of goodness and kindness behind it.From 2:03 to 2:08 you look like an angel. Cool!
Discerningmind - thanks for the kind words. We enjoy being able to pass on knowledge, methods and tips that help us to live more enjoyably and efficiently. Thanks for watching! Best, DF Maggie
I have been using Dirt Farmer Jay’s method my whole life (I’m 45!) and I just hide all of the fitted sheets in the bottom of my cedar chest with the nicely folded stuff on top, so it at a least looks correct. Thanks so much Dirt Farmer Maggie, now I don’t have to hide my salacious secret in the bottom of the cedar chest! 👍🏻😉
Thank you Farmer Maggie!! This video made the most sense. My sheets were still not flat, but I at least got all the corners in one area! That's the farthest I've gotten compared to all other fitted sheet folding videos. I'm going to assume it'll come with practice and it's still better than using my original method :)
Hi Corrina. Thanks for watching! It does take some practice but it beats just wadding them up and sleeping on wrinkled sheets! It also helps to lay them on a table or bed once you've gathered the corners together to finish the folding process. You might even end up with a flat square!! Good luck and let me know how you do. Best to you. DFM
Thanks for taking the time to write back! I'm glad you understood the folding part. Now if we could just get the sheets to remake the bed by themselves we'd have it made!! Take care. DFM.
Hi Pam!! Maggie here. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. It's funny to see this video now - My black hair is all grey and blonde now!! I'm still folding a lot of sheets with our bed and breakfast. If you are ever in the Salt Lake area, please contact us and come stay with us. Take care friend.
Todd Bailey She does a great job, doesn't she? She can fold fitted sheets in about 30 seconds. I've got the basics down on it, but it takes me about 2 to 3 minutes. Being a bit helpless has it's benefits as she just tends to "just do it". That's OK with me! Thanks for visiting DirtFarmerJay.com!
Jay, I love your video tips and I'm not taking anything away from them but it's a good thing you have her on the same team. I don't know where she could have learned voodoo magic like that but I plan to use it to win some bonus points... Maybe I can pretend that I'm just gifted and I see solutions this in my head. :) (then I plan to make her syrup, and claim "Doesn't everyone know how to make syrup from scratch????"
Kevin Gibson No offense taken. I still take 4x time to fold the sheet than she does, so a man has to know his limitations. Have fun with the syrup making too!
Hi Mary K!!! So good to hear from you. I don't have any Keto specific recipes, sorry. But I have been doing low carb for about the last 5 years. My "go to" to replace bread/potatoes/pasta/rice is Low Carb wheat Tortillas. I buy Mission brand Carb Balance tortillas. You can buy them at WalMart. Depending on the size they are 4G to 8G of carbs per tortilla. I eat a lot of shreadded cheese melted on a tortilla (in the microwave). Very satifying and very low carb. Hope this helps. Love to you honey, Dirt Farmer Maggie
+John Smith - that got a chuckle from DF Maggie! I have to admit that I've gotten much better with this and I've practiced it and have it almost down. Not as good as what DFM can do, but I'm getting there! Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe if you haven't already. Best, DFJ
Raoul, thanks for writing. Indeed, when you are demonstrating a technique, it can really slow down what the actual process takes. I've since become proficient in this technique (notwithstanding the comment in the video!) and am really speedy with great results. No intended false advertising. We'll change the title to reflect the more typical time when you get proficient at this approach. The best to you and yours - DFJ and DFM
Well Mister Jones...this is Dirt Farmer Maggie. Thanks (I think) for the comment. If you have viewed quite a few of our videos, you'll understand that we always give the WHY behind the HOW. It frustrates some people who want the quick fix without any additional words. Hope you'll continue to watch and be a part of our viewer family. Best to you, DFM

Best explanation yet--grab with the right hand and fold over with the left....nice.
I am definitely going to try this. It looks fun, and I felt I was on the island. Isabel
Thanks. You made it more clear than any ive watched
